Well then, I guess I'll have to back and check it out Monday. Hopefully it's still there.

Nice S4 at work today. I love these things.

Pro streeted '68 Dart = WIN
+1 👍

If that one is real, that is an incredible, INCREDIBLE spot, Nismo!!!! got dang awesome. If it's a clone, it's still cool.

About the others: yes, it seeems to be a Chrysler, awesome 80s-hangover pro-street Dart, cool 69 Camaro and the 60 Chevy hass loads of potential... awesome post yet again, man. Bravo.
+1

Great cars 👍

As for cars I've seen today, I just saw my friend's new red '66 Nova SS. Looked very fresh and sounded pretty quick (slightly tuned 355). He owned a white '66 Chevelle before which also looked really nice.

Also saw another Nova ('68-'73 model), a '66-'67 Pontiac Le Mans, '57 Chevy 4-door, '58 Chevy 2-door HT, early '50s Chevy pickup truck, a couple of early 2nd gen Camaro's, mid '50s Buick and that's about it I think.

I wouldn't necessarily call it "good", but I did see a Chevy Volt on a transport truck along with what looked like the next version of the Jeep Cherokee. Why they were on a truck in western Colorado is beyond me...

Went out to clean the volcano dust off the Porsche and this was parked 2 houses down...

It was absolutely mint.

You know what? The Panamera doesn't look too bad in person. No pics of the spot, but I just thought I'd offer that random thought here, since there isn't really a "random automotive musings thread."

Car and Driver called me today :D

Who would guess that all these people got to a Home Depot in one day.

Seen this Chevelle when I was out eating yesterday, it was really nice, even had rally wheels in perfect condition.

Sorry for the lack of spots, between hanging out with Kari, working quite a bit, and the hit or miss weather it's been slow going. I still snapped a few photos that are worth it though. I've been starting to get more selective in my spots too.

Awesome Willy's Jeep in Army paint and all the accessories.

Rolls Royce Ghost, I had no idea what this was. Sorry for the crappy photo of it, I was moving along at a good nick and it sort of caught me off guard.

There's a company down the road from me that does work for Citroën, they always have models floating around there. Someone just took that one out for the weekend. I actually got a text from a buddy of mine that saw the same car at Costco filling up.

So, went to the Formula2 at Silverstone this weekend, had a wonder around the paddock..

There were lots more (an IS-F, some X6's, some Bentley GT's, M6, R35's, Panameras, old school 911... but I've only got these online at the moment)

That should go in the event thread then, see link in my signature.

I posted a showroom version before in that thread but here saw it on the street, Porsche 911 Sports classic. I think I got a first on the street (well motorway tank station) there:

Some old vans on the side of the road, these were very cheap in their time since they did not have to bend the metal to make them:

I believe they only came in the colour of the one in the back, notice also a 2CV to repair next to them.

A Ami8, was already rare when I was young, not in super condition, but used (on my way to a restaurant):

I figured that since most of the pics I was going to post were not of cars that were the feature of the event - these were just cars that were in a 'parking lot' (albiet a parking lot behind the pitlane at Silverstone) - that here would be more suitable.

The Dauphine looks sweet! And MatskiMonk you're walking on a fine line there :D

I think we can relax a little and let this slide, I don't think he did anything wrong 👍

Why? Most of his pictures are from the public car park. No different to a public car park outside a shopping mall or restaurant.

I agree I do the same, @ a garage, but a registered car in the car park around it I post in the normal thread. In the showroom, in the Event and Showroom thread.

However when I go to Spa Francorchamps, in the paddocks, these are normal registered cars, in a "car park", but I do see a lot more sporty cars than I ever saw around in the street. Walking on the line, but I would go for the event thread, for that one. Reminds me I still have to publish my Amilcar pictures and since they were on the road, I 'll post it here, although I was lucky to come across a parking lot where they stopped during an historical rally.

Why does it matter?

He saw cars that he wasn't expecting to see - unlike on the track or at a museum. I think people are worrying to much about it, tbh.

Why does it matter?

GilesGuthrie opened this thread stating:
Dealerships and Manufacturer/Tuner sponsored car shows do not count. This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count. However, everyday "traffic" sightings are more interesting.

I guess you should ask him if he changed his opinion.

Seems Amilcar should go in the other thread.

Rue opened the other thread with the next:

Welcome! This thread is here to show off all your excellent pics of cars at showrooms, private collections shows, track days, concours, cruises and other such events. It's also here to prevent the saturation of such pics in the DYSAGT thread.

I agree, no big issue to mix a bit, but if we keep 2 threads, both should be alive and used as correctly as possible.

A topic on common cars that was still due,
common car = when you see 2 parked next to each other the cars seem common to me. Examples

Beige VW New Beatle (on Parking lot of shopping center):
