RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Aaaahh thanks for the comment sir.

So is it okay to assume that ppl here are reviewing the latest evolution of RJs RX7, the red one ?

By the way has anyone ever compared those 2? I suppose the later is the more perfect one (I like it already) but it all comes back to each own driving style.

How does the later better than the first?

Thanks again sir

Tuner Comments:
The 300ZX was praised for basically everything it did... But it wasn't as fast as it could've been, was fatter than it should've been, and so on. NISMO sent us one to do our magic on and the results are very good; the VG30DETT has been tuned for a very strong torque output and the rotating assembly and valvetrain has been reworked to withstand high-RPM use, and the suspension has been tuned to cope exceedingly well. Subtract a few hundred pounds and you've got quite the monster that is still perfectly street legal and comfortable enough to use daily.

Drove this one just a few seconds ago. Its a good tune, i drive it with stock weight, with reinforcements, stock tranny stock engine block, tuned ECU, midrange turbo and complete intake and exhaust. Semi race flywheel, stage 2 clutch and diff and propshaft en full suspension ofcourse. I took your diff and suspension settings and took it round Tsukuba. It shows quite a bit of understeer, but that can be because of the 1500 kg's that beast has to drag with it. Braking is also a bit weak, nut do-able (i use stock brake settings). With this setup i do a 57.700 round Tsukuba, which in my eyes is awesome. So thanks man! :D Next step: Nordschleife.

Update: 470hp or so is goood :D im thinking of step 1 engine tuning just to keep it revving a bit faster, but not loose the streetlegal feel of this. Its a really good tune. Its fast, is comfy and not too loud. :) Keeps the neighbours asleep when you come home at night :D

Yup, there really isn't much point reviewing the old one if the newer one has had all the faults corrected, it there :D And if you like the one RJ has posted, I'd wait a bit, because when RJ finally gets his arse off GTP and gets move on looking for a job and some money to fix his PS3, he'll be giving it an update. And from what I remember him saying, it's going to be quite a lot better…

@topic: Roj, should I send the Countach? I'll send it tomorrow if needed since I have a trade today.
Yep. 👍
NO! Cuz Roj has to do my car first :P  :D
Send that over too. Or share it, whatever. :P
Doesn't he have a queue list or something?
I've not been sent any cars yet so I'm pretty free for now.
Hey Roj, how much power do you think your R34 tune can handle?
With sports tyres, not much more than what I've used. Maybe you can push it to 500bhp but it'll understeer. The Mine's R34 is much better for power builds since it has downforce, so there's that if you want.
Helo RoJ and RJ
As Onboy said, the yellow one is the older version built by RJ. The red is the newest one. Generally, the tune that is linked on the front page is always the most up to date one. Quoted setups might not be the latest one. Most people review the tune linked from the first page, so yes that's the one everyone uses unless they're using an older setup of it.

It's on share, and has been for ages! -.- It was on share the moment you landed in Blackpool, and I want to drive it now, so hurry up and tune it to my required specs! :grumpy: mind you…those specs are quite a tall order ! So how about just tune it to 'releasable' quality.

Okay. :P I'll hurry up after I finish this release batch.

Fine then, but I want it done to the specs I PM'd with i.e German-ic levels of perfection:dopey::lol:

Fark, PS3 needs to get updated and I got no time to do so, and I have a trade as I've said earlier so by Sunday or any day next week, I'll be sending the Countach over.

By the way, the tranny's already tuned for the Wangan but if you'll re-tune it all over again then it's okay, since you're the one making the setup

Lolollllolollololll were you planning to use it to kill me on SSR7 again? :mischievous: My new insight in drag tuning means I've found:
a) A love for my Veyron
b) some tricks to tuning the gears for the straights

Next time round, you won't be so lucky………

The Countach is too crap for a Wangan run, that's why I stick to my trusty R33.

You may have mastered a few things but I've got the better car choice... And I'm not revealing it yet :P

Ok then, you run your GTR ricebox special while I blow past you in my Veyron (which has been seen at nearly 300mph with draft from an X1, but then the X1 was promptly drafting my Veyron cuz it was too fast<-- my Veyron, that is)

Veyrons are for noobs who require overkill in all races. So if you'll win, you'll be considered a noob :P

Unless I unleash my secret weapon. Oh wait, I also got a fully modified Veyron, screw that.

Nope, that's just stereotype :dopey: as someone said in the Stratos thread, if you hate on a car, it just means you can't drive it, so :P :D

and ok, when. When can I show you how little I have learnt from the dragmeisters at Baboon Arse Engineering (GME) :P :D:dopey:

*stretches giraffe neck* Nope. *walks away*

The Veyron have a better job to do than running around circuits in circles... :mischievous: And I'm still not gonna tell it, which ends the conversation here.

Tuner Comments:
This is the Camaro SC550. SC obviously for supercharged, 550 referring to the amount of horsepower (and torque) produced. It's faster around corners than basically anything else that's still street legal with some comforts, and pulls harder than the rather conservative power output would suggest.

So I loaded up this tune last night on my GT4 Cup Camaro at Suzuka to see if it would help with my oversteer problem. The car definitely felt better and wasn't quite as tail happy over the rumble strips, but there was still something about it that didn't feel right. Kind of felt like the car was pivoting on a pole and would switch back and forth from understeer to oversteer mid corner several times.

So, doing the logical online physics setup trick, I swapped the front and rear spring rates and shock values. Doing so added a little understeer to the car, but I can now toss the car around and it is rock solid. I can hop over the rumble strips with no issues. Car is very stable. I added in some rear sway bar (in the front position) to get some extra rotation out of it, and I'm 100% happy with it.

Was this tune tested online?

The SLS AMG is not an Elise. It’s far too big and brutal to do automotive gymnastics. However, it’s capable of handling a lot of power without breaking a sweat. So we supercharged the brute and turned it into a very fast tourer. High-speed never felt this relaxed before.

Making its return to the GT5 tuning scene is the old Bread Van of Amalfi. Except we don’t have Amalfi anymore, so instead it now resides at Eiger! Fans of the old car will be pleased to hear that The Bread Van II is very similar to the original, just with a slight power boost and sportier suspension settings.

This is the ZZII Destroyer, a weapon built to rid the world of Enzo’s, Veyron’s and any other hypercar you can think of. The ZZII boasts an engine borrowed from the ol’ Skyline GT-R, but mounted in the middle instead of the front. Coupled with 4WD, it becomes one of the best cars for it’s money. It’s truly a monster.

C-ZETA wanted something different for his Galant, a Group A touring car-style tune. Tuned for sports medium tyres, this Galant gives a Group A feel without feeling too aged.

We called it the Allroad after Audi’s A6 Allroad, which as the name suggests, can drive on all roads.

A neat bonus with this Galant Allroad is its ability to tackle dirt and snow stages as well as tarmac. A Group A touring car and rally car rolled up into one! Enjoy!

<600 hp? Mine just had 400+. You need to get it to Engine Stage 1, not max it out to Stage 3

Actually, it only had stage one, I just lowered power . As it turns out, it had 700 hp with stage one tuning and High RPM turbo. That's ridiculous if you ask me. So, now it h sport exhaust over racing, stock turbo kit, and stage 3 engine tuning. So now it has 473 HP. Thanks for releasing the tunes Roj, did you do all of these recently or were these unreleased requests? I know the Galant was so I'm guessing they were just unreleased. I hope you did a good job with that SLS, I have Sooooooo much trouble driving that thing.

The 458 was a request that got done before I left for my holiday, but I didnt release it. The SLS was something I wanted to do so I did half before my holiday and half after. The Impreza has been done for a while, just needed a good time to release and the ZZII was an unreleased request. :)
