After suffering at the hands of a 500mhz behemoth of a computer for 7-8 years, the family finally decided on getting a new computer. However now that Ive experienced the difference between CRT and LCD displays first hand, I can firmly say that my photomode pictures have never looked so bad, why?
With the old computer I was adjusting the brightness accordingly, and because it didnt have a particularly good monitor (anything dark looked black) everything has resulted in turning out overly brightened. The solution, start work on the CRT, review the results on the LCD and visa versa.

Wow, the pics look so crisp! 👍 This is the first time I like a backfire shot, well done. The custom lightfall is excellent too, I gotta try that out. Also, have you selected the colored things, and desaturated the rest? I really like the look man. 👍
P.S. I hope you like my pics too.
Cheers, I think backfire has to be taken at the right time and angle for it to
work. Now that the
OMG bakf1ire in GT4!!111 effect has worn off since the games release, when used sparingly,
I believe it can be quite attractive.
I duplicated the coloured layer and desaturated it, erasing areas of the brake lights and backfire to let them show through. This was followed by the subtle post work, like the brake and car glows and Adjustment Layers, mainly Colour Balance and Levels.
Again thanks for the comments everyone, finding the time to write decent comments after looking through your galleries is very hard (Im easily distracted). I
will get there!
Now for some
