Pictures people, please! We are getting more and more posts without pictures. I also miss a lot of pictures and I started to post some bad quality again, generally driving in the dark and no time to get the focus working.

@ Rue, I believe in Luxembourg you 50% chance to have the real thing not marked. For example most of the C63 AMG not marked, really have the V8 sound when they start. On the other hand a lot of old BMW with M3 signs, have nothing to do with the M3.

@ SuperShouden Nice C2 Stingray

@ astrosdude91 cool of the owner to let you sit in it, did you have the same issue as me, coming out, I forgot about the gullwings and banged into them? (it seems it happens to a lot of people the first time)

Wiesmann (at lunch on Saturday, seen quickly before lunch only had my phone with me when I went looking for it after lunch)

You're wrong, its actually a perspective art work painted on the ground leading up the pillar and wall with a lizard in the centre, made to look like a seat with white stitching seen through a piece of reflective glass :grumpy:

Bravo to the artist btw

This photo hurts my feeble brain... But after staring at it for an obscenely long time, I figured it out :-D

Sorry for this.

I just liked the white stitching and tried to capture it, in a hurry and with the phone as camera did not think too much about the shot.

Since I have the original full view in my head, I can not help to see the seat every time.

@ Dac_Xint great story about the painting!

No, I made sure I didn't hit it on the way out. But it was kinda hard to squeeze in. I'm six feet even, so I'm the perfect size for supercars and roller coasters. But the owner was a few inches shorter, and I didn't want to move his seat, so it was a bit tight. But I got in and out ok.

Ah yes, I'm not sure how I didn't see it before, my apologies :dopey:

After seeing some cars at my favourite garage (see event thread), I came to work and found this Aston Martin DB9, not very common, on our parking:

4837913221_09bd68cce6.jpg

Then I found this Aston Martin DBS, just leaving a parking spot, going home from the hairdressers, the first one I saw in Luxembourg and the first one I see in the wild:

Put my camera away and some other exotic came past, .... missed it.

So I decided to see if other fancy cars drove out of town on a bridge near my home, but not a lot of luck:

Arriving at home there was this Alfa Romeo Nuova Super 1300, that I had seen driving around since a few days.

Monday I saw that someone pretended to have a Audi S8, but after a closer look, I came to the conclusion it is an A8 with the wrong badge:

After all the talk of the Harrod's Arab Roadshow Spectacular...I just had to share this..

carsclamped415.jpg

Source:
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/stand...-clamp-qatari-royals-pound-15-million-cars.do

This absolutely made my day

I was actually at that very bakery today, the only cars on show around 6pm today were a couple of 360s, a Scaglietti 612, couple of Rolls Royces and the odd Gallardo.

No other hypercars as most of the owners were just settling into the Georgian restaurant upstairs in Harrod's...

All the best
Maz

I hereby proclaim page 1071 of this thread to be the greatest ever. From hot rods at Woodward by nismo Skyline to an absolutely unthinkable ammount of money AND a cool Satellite in London from Dac. It was mind blowing.

also, girl-colour matte Lambos are amazing.

Buick La Salle 1938

At least I think it's a La Salle. It's got those Buick headlights, but I'm not sure about the grille.

MG TF 1960

Not 100% sure about this one, either. At least my camera's working better.

Triumph TR3

I kept thinking "Austin Healy...a Healy...a Healy what...?" Duh -- it's a Triumph!

Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 16 1969

I posted this earlier, but with the nicer weather and the easier target, I thought I'd share better photos this time. Funny how the license plate design has come full circle. I think this is the fourth time New York has had this color scheme. It's from my childhood so naturally I prefer it.... :sly:

Saab Sonnet 1971

From the exact same spot that had an Opel GT. "Alex, I'll take compact sports cars of the 70's for $600." "The answer is...the Daily Double!"

Plymouth Satellite 1969 - fix from Nicksfix

Wonderful reminder of when Plymouth was more than just Chrysler's dumping ground.

Mercedes-Benz 450SL

Not sure why this qualified for historic plates. What's the age limit? This can't be much more than 25 years old.

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG 1998

This, however, I can see as a future classic. Early AMG? Reliable Mercedes? Fo' sho'!

Nissan 300ZX Twin-Turbo

An original twin-turbo completely unmodified and in fantastic shape. Even the wheels were original.

Mercury Marauder 2002

Another future classic contender. What the cops should have had instead of the brutally heavy Charger. Then again, the platform was quite old....

Audi S4 Avant 2009

*smack*

Ford F-150 SVT Lightning 2001

The first good one, after the bad one, but before the really good one. In blue.

Dodge Caliber SRT-4

I see these coming and going now...

Dodge Challenger SRT-8

...but not enough of these.

Honda CR-Z

First CR-Z in the East. Appropriately enough, from California. Still just a tarted up Insight.

Mini Cooper S Convertible - actual size

Yes! It really is that big! No! It's not really an appropriate name for a large compact!

Porsche 911 GT3 2008

So fuzzy I just had to have two!

Subaru Impreza WRX STi Limited

I'm definitely biased but this should be a decent investment for the long term. Only 500 made and the last of the pre-Toyota Impreza STI's. Now to find one that hasn't been trashed in the last few years....

Alfa Romeo Ghia Special 1900 1956

From half a mile away I knew this was something. It's wonderful. So silvery and curvy...and so not heading my way. The last shot was just before he headed off the state road we were on. I followed him for at least 20 minutes just to get a decent shot and it took almost double that to find my way back. So worth it.

wonderful post tuttle. For the record, La Salle was not Buick-derived but Cadillac, and for once I think you are correct on it, it seems to be a La Salle. I call kit car on the MG, but got damn, GOT DAMN, the Ghia Speciale is an incredibly rare sight. I know it's in it's trailer but it doesnt matter. There are a handfull of these in the entire world. It is without a doubt one of the rarest cars ever posted in this thread. nice comeback pal.

A 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, in a traffic jam on the M25 this afternoon. This spot in Britain is like spotting a Renault Clio in America. As I've never seen one of these before, I'm posting it here.

Why in the name of all that's holy would someone pay money to import that into the UK?

It's entirely possible that an American serviceman brought his car to England with him. I know plenty of people who did that when I was stationed there in the early 1980s.

These were taken in the same parking lot, but a week apart. Honestly, I'd rather have the Triumph than the Ferrari.

Plymouth GTX 1968

Wonderful reminder of when Plymouth was more than just Chrysler's dumping ground.

Awesome spot 👍

But it's a '69 :sly:

'68's had round side marker lights about the size of a .50 cent piece. The 69's were rectangular in shape, like the one pictured.

Plus it appears to be a Satellite, not a GTX or a Roadrunner - GTX's and Roadrunners had the power bulged hood, wrong wheels for that year as well,(magnum 500's,not rally's)

I saw this one about 6 weeks ago (would've posted it here before, but I never really had the chance):
