Hello all!!!

My name is Mike and I am a stand-alone Tuner. I decided to open Vengence Tuning as a show case for my current Tunes.
I work alone currently, all tuning and test driving is done by myself so it does take time for me to produce good tunes, hopefully worth the wait!

This is the first time I have posted my tunes.

I have played all the GT's and have loved tuning the cars.

All my tunes have NO AIDS activated, only ABS set to 1.

I tune my cars on the Grand Valley Speedway, Le Sarthe circuits, Cote D Azur, and Nurburgring

All cars are fully modified and use SOFT RACING tyres*.

*Ok, basically you buy Everything in the tune shop!
Where you have options for parts IE exhausts, clutch, flywheel ect, you buy the best available and install all parts.
This applies to all cars, even after Racing Modification.

Unless otherwise stated all my cars are Tuned OFF-LINE. This will not be the case in future tunes, these will be tuned online.

*All Tunes are based on Racing soft tyres and are optimised for maximum speed. Lower Spec "Street Tunes" will be done in the future and will be based on Sports Soft Tyres*

The Cars pictured are mine!

This is my tune for the Lotus Elise 1996 Race Modified

I noticed quite soon that as standard the '96 Elise tends to understeer much more than its big brother, the 111R.

It was quite hard trying to eliminate this natural tendacy to understeer, and whilst it is significantly better, it can still catch you out from time to time. Also due to the weight of the vehicle and the drive chain layout (MR) it likes to oversteer on cambered corners.

Its not as fast as its big brother but it has attitude, and round tight tracks like cote azur its only 1-2 seconds slower!

I drove this round Tsukuba online and was beating Ford GT's and ferrari 458 italia's!

Lotus Evora
486 BHP/7400 RPM, 53KGFM/5400 RPM, 1102KG
Grand valley lap- 1.49.896!

The Evora was always going to have a hard time living up to its smaller brothers legacy...
This is no stipped down, basic, pure drivers car. This is a everyday usable sports tourer.
It weighs alot more than the elise and is alot bigger.
Therefore it was never going to be as agile as the elise round corners.
On first test it liked to understeer...alot! immediately followed by a big handfull of oversteer. It was very tough correcting this car and making it less of a handfull.
I very happy with this tune, and it is a joy to drive around the ring. I have humbled Zonda R's and M3 GTR race cars in this :sly:

Lamborghini Murcielago SV 670-4 Super Veloce

This car is a animal, an animal that will bite if you go to rough!
It took some taming, and was by far my most difficult tune.
Im really happy the way this car came out, it feels safe, is blisteringly fast, and is stable on banked corners.
Turn in is good but make no mistake, this is a BIG, HEAVY car!
So brake well in advance and you will be ok.

I'll try and give the Elise tune a try out tonight, i'm using an existing tune for that car from Team Lotus, i'll switch the settings and do a comparison. I'm looking after my son all day tomorrow so it might be tomorrow evening before I get a chance to get back to you.

One question, do you do your initial tuning with racing softs or with sports tyres?

All cars are fully modified and use SOFT RACING tyres.

Well, a few days ago I just reviewed the 2 Elise Tunes that were around. One from Team Lotus, the other from Precision Motorsports. I tested them both on Deep Valley, so I decided to take yours to the same track for a direct lap time comparison.

Team Lotus: 1:09.307
Precision Motorsports: 1:08.897 which was lowered to a 1:08.532, once he made some adjustments based on my review.
Vengence Tuning: 1:08.383

From the first lap I ran, your tune felt the most balanced overall, throughout the entirety of the 3 sections of each corner. It felt very smooth, and had no immediate drawbacks, leaving me with no complains on handling issues. On a track like this, the only possible increase I can see being found, is a minuscule amount of more exit ability. It didn't understeer on exit by any means, but there are quite a few corners on this track, where you can make up a bit of ground, by getting a better exit.

Usually I only run about 5-7 laps per tune test, in which case my best with your tune was a 1:09.211, but I knew there was ground to be made. It was the first time I've sat down to play today, so I put another 10 laps on, to make sure I was warmed up to give a fair review. I can usually tell when I've hit my ceiling, and I try not to post a time, unless I feel I'm near it.

The only issues I did run into, are a loss of control on hard braking. This only really occurred in the first corner of the track, after the high speed straightaway. The second issue, was a slight tendency for the back end to jump out, on the exit, of higher speed, tighter corners, with banking. Pretty specific eh? I believe this is more of an issue with the cars weight, or lack there of, combined with the tracks natural elevation variations. The corner where this caused a reoccurring grievance, was after the first essess, as you enter the first tunnel of the track. Under the Michilin sign, lol. But like I said, I don't feel this is a tune issue.

Overall this tune has the best comfort level of the 3 I've tested, combined with a better balance of handling and the fact that it actually ran the fastest lap of the three, I'm confident in saying this is the best of the 3 for myself, in regards to this track.

Thanks for the great work.
I'll add your tune to my review thread here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=159188

Thank you so much for your feedback, means alot!

I agree it can be a handful when there is a sudden camber change or elevation, although to be honest I kinda like it lol

Brilliant tune! Really rapid in tight tracks like london and rome...

Plus my B-spec driver uses it fast too! Just won the British lightweights in B-spec with this...

Pleased to hear that, I'm glad you like it.

Thanks for the feedback 👍

Thanks for sharing!!
Could you please give me some advise how to optimice for the Tsukuba circuit? I've seen people do a lap in 0:52,2.. I can't go under 0:54,0 with your settings (without your settings I was eve over 0:55) Thank you very much :).
P.s. I lowered the max Speed to 220km/h...

Tried it today and managed a 53.5... Not sure I could hit a 52, I use DS3 Controller, with a wheel maybe I could be faster.

But yes I will review the tune and see If there is more to be had.

Today i managed a 53,848.. But no way to go master. I'm using a DS3 too.. But most likely the problem is the driver and not the car;)thank you anyway.. Awesome work->Today I had great fun on Grand Valley with your settings;)

I was looking for this thread lol. I tried your GTS tune earlier today. Its pretty good. I ran it on the Nurburgring and for the sectors it stayed on the ground it was viciously fast evem in the hands of my Bob. He destroyed an Amuse S2000 Turbo and Audi LM R8 on the Ring and the Viper has no downforce. It also hit around 223mph on the long back straight. Thenks:tup:

Would love some feedback on these tunes?

Out of curiosity, why those tracks, especially for a car like the Elise 111R RM, which isn't really built for long straights? That car is known for its handling, which I think you'd get the most out of by tuning it on a more technical track such as Nürburgring GP/D.

Thanks, yeah I really like the GTS, I love the way it just wants to dive into corners, its a blast round the ring.

Im glad you like it 👍

A valid point!
The elise was never actually tuned on Le sarthe (I need to edit that)
The elise was tuned on Grand Valley, Cote D Azur, and The Nurburgring.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention 👍

No worries lol
Do you like the tune?

Sorry, I meant to say that I was off to test it online at the Ring in my previous post but I simply forgot. :dunce:

It's a great setup... the car felt good... just point and shoot on corner entry. Like you said, theres some oversteer on cambered corners from mid to exit but it made me look like a hero in front of the 111R RM I was holding up. :dopey: 👍 Thanks again for making a setup for this car. I look forward to more of your work!

Have to say the ring is so much fun in the both the elise's.
Its a great car anyway, but this tune just helps turn into a beast :)

Im really pleased you like it, thanks for the feedback

Your Elise 111R tune is simply amazing.

I have a question though - how did you tune away the lift off oversteer which is so iconic of this particular car?

With difficulty lol
The camber on the rear wheels helps stabilise the rear end, stiffing up the back which has the engine weight helps and also adding rear toe helps keep the back from swinging round.

Im not a real-life tuner, I just have a general knowledge of how a car works and play around with the settings (for hours!) untill it feels right.

Evo rm tune fantastic, thanks again for your help, looks like some of the big tuners have new competition
