Well, I hadn't planned on changing, but whilst doing a shoot for the 2.0, I managed to capture the following. I've wanted to achieve this effect with the tail lights for some time, but have failed, seems to have worked this time
Regardless of making the poll or not, I'm well pleased with this......

Interesting shot that is. Looks like an Enzo? Not right for a GT-R I think....

I'm glad to see the entries come in again, they look great, please make my job as hard as possible. My one worry with this theme was that people would give up and we wouldn't get many entries. Wednesday especially seemed very slow but things have picked up and it should be interesting to pick the poll. I hope that through the frustration of pausing at just the right moment you all are having as much fun with this theme as I did.

What are you having trouble with tapacrulez? is it pausing on the flame? or is it the flame changing when you take the picture?
I tried to pick one that I had already. But I couldnt decide. So I took some more. And still couldn't decide. Not sure if ive gone with the right one but for now anyway....

I only just recently discovered how to get your full sized pictures into PhotoBucket.
Here's how - When on the upload screen with the big green 'Select photos and videos' button look down the page a little for the very small 'customize your upload options' link. Click on that and change the radio button from the default 1024x768 to a larger size or the 'Best possible quality' option - that's the one I use and it seems to always keep the original size.

just can't get it.
first, I decided to take an idea I got from another photo in this comp, and do a dark shot with the flame illuminating the car. but it needed to be JUST the flame illuminating the image. no headlamps or taillamps.
so I grabbed a nascar and went to La Sarthe at night. the car will pop all sorts of blue and bright yellow/white when you rapid shift from 3-4 and back down, even on hard acceleration. got the flame easily.
then went to take the shot, and realized that the flame doesn't actually add any lighting to the game. it's just there. so that idea was out. I wanted to have the car menacingly illuminated by the detonation flame.
nope.
decided to take the tank car out for a rip on the Ring. Who doesn't want to see a nighttime shot of that thing blasting detonation flames everywhere?
they showed up great, but even when i timed it perfectly, the flame effect would disappear upon me pausing for photomode. i tried for 3 hours. nothing. blarg.
then tried for what I figured I could style as a full out engine explosion rather than backfire. but there doesn't seem to be a premium car with the exhaust exiting high enough and close enough to the engine to overexpose into a good solid fireball. was gonna get the tires ripping, and then line it up to look like the engine was smoking and essentially blown up.
nope.
so basically, I have all these great ideas, and the game won't let me do any of em! heh.
