TheDrummingKING was selected as the Judge's Choice winner last week, and he decided that this week
ought to be a Manipulation Week.

BonkMeister took out the public vote, and the theme he has selected is Killer Rides!

Further explanation of theme, which is chosen by Week 19 Winner, BonkMeister:

Turn your car into a deadly vehicle.

The rest is up to you, you can mount the weapon(s) anywhere or turn the vehicle into the weapon yourself. The type of weapons is also completely up to you. Medieval rams or catapults, 20th century mortars or rocket launchers, futuristic lasers or something completely made up in your imagination.

The only limitation is that your car has to become a weapon that kills or does damage, for the rest anything goes.

And remember...
Be creative and have fun!

  • Photoshop or another image editing program MUST be used.
  • Each entry must have some part from a Photomode picture from Gran Turismo 5.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a comp.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.
  • Not sure how to post a thumbnail or preview image? Read this sticky!
  • Mark your FINAL ENTRY clearly, with red text.
  • When submitting, use either a thumbnail or a preview image, linked to the full-sizer.
  • No full-size images posted in thread; your entry will be ignored.
  • A preview image is not only allowed, but encouraged! However, preview images can
not exceed 500 pixels in either direction. This includes borders or drop shadow effects.
[*]Winner of the public vote gets to choose the theme for the following week.
[*]Public vote winners also get to select the top 12 entries for the poll the following week.
[*]When selecting the top 12 entries the following week, the theme chooser will also select a
"Judge's Choice" winner, the entry which they feel has best captured the theme.
[*]The Judge's Choice winner gets to choose whether the following week will be either a
Graphics Week or a Manipulation Week.
[*]A graphics week will be primarily graphic design and layout based, for example magazine
    covers, or movie posters.
[*]A manipulation week will be primarily based on photo manipulation, for example creating
race cars in game, or making multi-car composites.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!

Being a Photoshop competition, there are no limits on editing. Use every tool at your disposal to
create the desired effect. Feel free to utilise HDR techniques, photo stitching, whatever you like!
Your only real restriction is that you must use some part of a GT5 Photomode image!
The main thing to remember is to be creative and have fun!

Fascinating two entries from US Guys until now. Let's see what we Old Europe Boys will bring into competition. Come on, brothers in arms!

i can´t decide atm how much should be from gt5 :P

Final Entry

I made a start once again, this time I hope to be able to finish it before closing.

BIGGER is better
Lots more to add yet, more weapons, armour etc...
OK added some more weapons, next a bit of armour plating.
Starting to get there - still not finished though

perfect car choice for this theme Nato!👍

I would love to try it myself, but I suck at this kind of editing. Also, I think I'll take a time out for 2 weeks. But what I see here so far is really impressive. Great work all of you:)👍

Twisted Metal III is probably one of your favorite games I presume, judging by the pic.

So no sleep for you, either?

I actually didn't go to sleep, I stayed up all night working on this.

So here is my

Final Entry

Click for full size. (The guns look better then ;))

I hope you guys like. :)

Good news:
I won't entry this comp due to a profound aversion regarding weapons and military stuff. Good luck to all!!!
@TheDrummingKING: you did a great job, though I don't like the theme.
Sorry Bonkmeister....

Fair enough, Raphaele, a shame I don't have to wait for your entry, but I can understand your motivation.

I hope you are not offended, I just thought of the many vehicles with weapons in several games and movies like James Bond and GT5 offers lots of vehicles to modify into that, and it's a great way for people to throw in some creativity, not really with any intention to promote killing and violence.

It's far from perfect, so if I can find the time I'll do it properly, but for now:

Final Entry

Oh and the guns are very subtle :P

That is a awesome one.👍

But my favorite part is the blue Viper; it looks like in it's first Gran Turismo glory! :D

Updated my entry a bit, but I reckon TDK's got this one in the bag so far.

Edit: Edited still a little further - added shells ejecting from cannons and 'glow' from the muzzle flash.

Now I'm really scared. :scared:
Thumbnail should be fine, GTPlanet caches photos (I think) so sometimes it takes a little while for the updated version to show. Doing a page refresh usually helps. :)

I'm quite liking this week because I figured out the perfect way for adding stuff to the car! :dopey:

And for your thumbnail I meant you need an updated version. :P It doesn't have the extra guns!

Edit: Updated final entry.

Nice! I use lots of different layers when adding bits on, that way I can take them off again easy if I change my mind. My entry currently has over 20 layers.
