Done!

Thanks to a few very generous members, we were able to track down all the final discrepancies. The Google Docs version is updated, as is the downloadable zipped version. If you're transferring your collection over, be sure to delete the following from your old copy before pasting over to the new (in just the first sheet, the entire lines of course, though I've only posted the pertinent info, courtesy of DeuceOfClub):

Dodge > Solid > Banana
Mazda > Unknown > RX-8 Greyish Green
Mazda > Unknown > RX-8 Sports Blue
Mazda > Solid > RX-8 Brilliant Black
Mazda > Solid > RX-8 Pure White
Mazda > Pearl > RX-8 Bright Red Mica
Mazda > Metallic > RX-8 Sunlight Silver
Mazda > Metallic > Titanium Grey Metallic
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > Black
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > Blue Grey
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > Fire Engine Red
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > Graphite Grey
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > Ivory
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > Light Blue
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > Pearl Green
Mercedes-Benz > Solid > White Grey
Opel > Pearl > Zypressengrun
Seat > Unknown > Amarillo ovni
Toyota > Metallic > Dark Green Metallic

And make sure to add:

Audi > Pearl > Cherry Black Pearl Effect > TT 3.2 Quattro '03 > Yes > No > No > Yes

...right between Cactus Green Pearl and Daytona Gray Pearl Effect.

Hopefully PD doesn't play around with this much anymore! Thank you all who helped to complete this!

Thank you for the update and for the migration procedure from previous version 👍

EDIT:
I had problems with migration. Copy pasting from A to Fiat, I only deleted the Banana Dodge and added the Audi row. Last pasted chip was correct Fiat, but in the mid there was a 1 row offset. Maybe only my mistake.....
EDIT2: I found the end of the offset in Chrysler. I guess you added another Audi row and removed in Chrysler, maybe.....
Found a sorting difference in Citroen.... I don't know why so many problems and hope I'm not alerting you for never. I need other user feedback for this.

EDIT3:
I guess the following row should be also added before migration 👍
Banana Metallic Dodge Challenger R/T '70

EDIT4:
Another new chip. Blu Tour de France, solid, Ferrari.
Am I doing it completely wrong????????
I checked the doc history and it is the 17/8 one.

EDIT5:
Ferrari, Grigio Alloy, solid......
Also row shifting destroyed my unique colours formulas..... my mistake.
I need help at this point :(

Oh no :(. So sorry Duck - I thought I had documented everything I had changed, but it seems I made mistakes.

I hope you have your original file from before downloading this new one - if you do, please PM me, and I can get you to email it to me, and I'll sort it out. That way, I can re-document all possible changes, and hopefully fix this for you. Sorry!

No! Don't worry about my migration 👍
My old list was only until Fiat, so I didn't much work.

What about these 'new' chips?
I managed to understand both Ferrari paints were tagged as metallic, but I have them as solid. Easy to fix for all ;)

The main question is: many paints of a specific brand you merged as unique, aside of gt5 browser bugs (same paints in multiple rows, like with some gears), seems to have the same name but very different hues. Are you aware of it?

First of all - glad to hear it's all sorted now :)

I am yes, though typically, there isn't much difference. Rosso Alfa, for example - I've come across 3 different ones, but when I investigated further, two were the same (despite their chips looking different), and the third one's chip matched one of them, but had a slightly different tone when painted to the car.

90% of occurrences like this are like how I described. The only major issue manufacturer is Toyota - Dark Green Mica, or Blue Mica Metallic, for example, have different hues depending on their source car. In the latter's case, the Caldina's chip is different from the Prius', which is different from the Premium Vitz.

I suppose down the road, I could break these ones down further, and count them as uniques. My car hunting isn't what it used to be, so that may take a while... but thanks for bringing it up :)

I received an email not to long ago from... someone in France, about the Google Docs version, asking if I would ever be extending it to include every colour in the game. While I can understand the benefit, for the serious collectors out there... I won't be doing it, at least not as far as I can see, mostly because I'd run into things like the RUF's and their non-named colours. Hope all understand (so maybe I should give this a slightly different name...)

Please note: doing a wishlist I didn't found any Audi R8 production car chip :(

Also, now far from my ps3, I have the feeling that Lamborghini have more choice. It's just a feeling, but it worths to give a check back to home.

Fixed up the Audi colours and deleted the Black chip from the WiLL. This is pretty much the end of the road for me - I have 100 paints left to grab in the game, but I'm just not that interested in the hyper-collecting that others are, in regards to tracking down every colour option of every car in the game ;). I'll leave that, or things like requin's painting-equals-changing list to, well, requin, or other people who have worked on them. I hope this list continues to help others, however - after 9 months, it's certainly been the biggest undertaking I've had involving GT!

.... and the biggest undertaking EVERYONE had involving GT, imho 👍
Thank you for the hard work. Hope to see you involved in other funny things with GT5
