AndersonG22, here is what I was refering to Post.

I want to congradulate Smallhorses on going the NA tuning route, unless that was the only option that car has. I don't know much about it.

So as not to hold things up any longer I grabbed the keys and ran a single race in each car - except for the final one...

A) I was well off the pace and even dipped two wheels in the sand on the outside of Spoon, but I didn't have the time for a second attempt.
B) My Civic shared the back row of the grid with a Lotus Esprit! Thanks to the traffic I was able to pass him before he could take the lead but he was quickly back on my tail. Eventually I finished less than a quarter second ahead of him with another 13 seconds to the third place finisher.
C) This was shaping up to be a perfect race until I was tagged in the rear by a Mitsubishi 3000GT as I exited the first Degner. This put me somewhat sideways but the 240ZG is so well balanced it was very easy to correct.
D) I clipped the front quarter panel of a Mercedes with the rear quarter of my Mustang in the esses and outbraked myself into Casio but otherwise had a very satisfying and fast race. I'm not sure why I thought this car had grip issues earlier in the season - unless it was only the slowest and bumpiest tracks where I had problems?
E) I managed to beach myself on the first attempt... and the second so I tried again. Guess where I ended up this time? Deep enough in the sand for another two cars to also be in the sand between me and the track. DNF.

Asia Grand Prix

The Asia Grand Prix leaves Japan across the sea of Japan to Korea then from there over to China by sea to Hong Kong. This week we have two street courses. Transitition from the longer courses of recent weeks to shorter ones may upset some drivers and machines that haven't addressed control issues yet. To your cars gentlemen and start your engines.

A) My Fiat now sporting 89hp in a 559kg package was pitted against the likes of Mazda Miatas and Toyota Celicas which it dominated against. Such a crazy little go cart it is.
B) The rusty old Civic is now mixing it up with sporty sedans from the likes of Audi, Lexus and Subaru. It is as bad as it sounds too as the Civic still has the limitations of FWD.
C) GT-R, STi, Evo. These mean nothing to my 240Z. NSX however did cause a bit of trouble pushing me around during one of the races at Hong Kong.
D) All that extra power made the Mustang a right handful even with the handling upgrades. Pitted against RUFs, Ford GTs and the likes I recorded a DNF at Seoul and twice at Hong Kong. I'll be happy never to drive it again.
E) With a little over 666hp the 427 went like it was possesed. Nothing could stand in the way - except for corners, but what would you expect from a 45 year old car doing 180mph?

Nice Car-less! About time you spent that fortune you had. ;)

Your Class C and Class E car though bought an illegal part per rule 3, a Carbon Driveshaft.

I'll have to get to this tomorrow. Ran out of time tonight by the time I'd finished up my work paperwork, dinner and everything else it's too late to contemplate starting GT4. Hope that's OK?

No more changes for my Dome Zero '78, I like it the way it is, and I'll put the virtual credits in my virtual bank account so I can feel virtually rich for a while! :dunce:

Ran both races and have submitted.
Sad to see this series go too, but look forward to whatever creation springs forth from the creative genius of BH-21 next! 👍

I have to disagree with the final results. As my Nissan (C) and 427 (E) were running illegal carbon driveshafts, they should have been DNF'd for the final two races.

My spreadsheet says;
Code:
Driver		Car			  Funds	     Points
===========================================================
Car-less	Fiat 500R '72		 12,100 	172
BH-21   	Subaru 360 '58		  4,600 	100

Car-less	Honda Civic CX '79	  9,300 	147
BH-21   	Triumph Spitfire '74	  3,350 	117

BH-21   	Lotus Elan '62		  6,750 	126
Car-less	Nissan 240 ZG '71	    900 	111

Car-less	Shelby Mustang '65	    900 	135
BH-21   	Plymouth Cuda 440 '71	  5,650 	73
Smallhorses	Dome Zero Concept '78	 19,350 	71

AndersonG22	Buick Special '62	 33,300 	131
Car-less	AC 427 S/C '66		    150 	97
BH-21   	Shelby Cobra '67	  7,000 	91

As per my predictions, the Fiat 500R and Buick Special were unbeatable in their classes, but everything else was mucked up by the drivers of the best cars dropping out!

Like smallhorses I too am looking forward to another 'budget based racing series', but I will need a few weeks away from GT4 first.
