The most impressive thing (LFA video) is the driver's control of the car on this slides' show of a video, (very fun to wach indeed!👍) you need lot of precision to use the slides at your advantage to put the car in a better position to getting out of the turns as fast as possible (as seen in the first part of the video).

To the OP. btw. Do you tested it and came out with the idea that sliding like that is the fastest way around the track or you did it just for the fun of it? just curious.

Thanks guys

It's always been my way of driving, but hotlapping a lot against a ghost has also shown me that when done right it's possible to go quicker too. :) For sure it's more fun as well!

Thanks mate  From the Nurb times thread:

Drove this to compare to the real one:

real:

Stock car, oil changed & fully broken in (Sport Hards). ABS=0, tried to keep it as clean as possible. Didn't have full throttle on the long straight as I didn't want to overshoot the speed the real car did on it's 7'14..

Did one mistake and almost overshoot one corner, you might notice it Stupid of me, I didnt watch the real lap close enough and see that the time is cut of a bit earlier than in GT. Still, I don't think I could do much better with these tires. If I'd want to do more exact replica of the lap, I'd need more sticky tyres.. with sport hards you need to push the car a little too much for the time to be comparable.

Also, I didn't go full throttle on the long straight as the real car doesn't have as much top speed as the GT one. (It seems I still got a little too much speed there, my bad)

One of the good races we had yesterday, too bad only 3 cars on track but it was still good fun. :)

(Me, Anaq & Tha-Ghoast)

Did a new lap with the F40 with the newest update to the game.

Old: 7'23.706
11.10.2011 (pre Spec II):

New: 7'22.864

6.1.2012 (2.02)

Both laps:
fully broken in
oil changed
otherwise stock
