In all seriousness though, save that post and store it someplace, I get the feeling it'll come full circle someday.

Just for the sake of the visual pun, I hope he's driving a Datsun 240Z or some other car with an equally long nose (Jag E-type would be peak, but I dunno how far Genki's licensing power has reached).

Of course, I know your post is just a fun joke, but unfortunately it looks like he will be using some kind of 4/5 door car.

The image is a teaser of Yamitengu shown at the end of Rolling Guy No.1's video, but this image did not match the emblem on his TXR2025, so it turns out that what was shown in this video was not his emblem but the car he will be using on the TXR2025.

If we look closely at the image with this in mind, we notice two noteworthy features:
The door dividing line that runs across the letter "N," and the front fender insert.

From the distance of the door split lines and the front fender insert, it's clear that Yamitengu's car is a 4 or 5 door car.
And from the shape of the front fender insert, some Twitter users seem to be guessing that his car is a VAB WRX.

Certainly, this reasoning makes sense.

The VAB WRX appeared in Shutokou Battle Xtreme, and they are remastering and reusing many assets from that game for TXR2025.

And Yamitengu (known as "Dark Goblin" in the English version of SBX) was a driver using the Hawkeye WRX in ITC. It's possible that he will use the new generation WRX in the new TXR.

As an aside, in Japan, Subaru cars such as the WRX were labeled as "cars especially favored by otaku."
And Yamitengu is a driver who clearly states in his profile that he is an otaku.

Maybe that's why he uses a WRX... well, that's probably why. (Also, the robot drawn on the livery of his WRX at the ITC may have been a message from Genki implying that Yamitengu is an otaku...)

Going through the stream on twitch again, I noticed Rolling Gal's a team, and i noticed Infinity is back from Tokyo xtreme racer 3, which got me thinking. You think there's going to be more older teams returning, like UNLIMITED, Speed Master, or Highway Outlaw?

This is just a guess at this point, but it seems like the TXR2025 timeline is a branch off of the history that led from TXR3 to ITC.

So while some old teams that were supposed to have been eliminated by Snake Eyes and Phantom9 in the ITC story will be returning, we'll also see new teams that emerged at ITC like Rolling Gal and M_O_E, as well as Phantom9.

Also, one interesting point is that there is a mysterious team called "Roulette Guy" .
Perhaps they are a new generation 86 gang that uses GR86, 86, BRZ, etc. instead of AE86?

That's been on my mind too. Sounds like a new version of R gangs

Yamitengu and his WRX have been revealed.

At ITC, the Phantom9 members used the same Art Factory vinyls that were available to other competitors and players, but for TXR2025, all members will likely have their own custom liveries.

This reminds me of the Darts and No Loser from TXR3.

Next time, we have Gloomy Angel.
It seems she will be using the RX-8 again.

Genki once pissed off Nissan with a custom car based on a Nissan cars in a Racing Battle, so they probably won't be able to make a custom car based on a Nissan again...

Either of these two cars, or both.
It seems that what went wrong was including a car that closely resembled a Super GT race car in the game without Nissan's permission.
I really really doubt the authenticity of this really. I do not see a source and even if it is true, its been like 20 years. If Nissan is really that pissed then they might as well not give Genki the license at all to use their car.

Plus the fact that SB Xtreme has both Jintei and Dejected Angel back in their Nissan cars instantly proves otherwise.

Yes! It has the VAB generation STI....my car =D
Now I hope it will come to PS4 in the future or at least PS5. If it's stuck only on Steam that would be a huge blow.

This makes me wonder if there are going to be some cars that are unlocked by challenging non-rivals (maybe spotting a rare vehicle just driving around as traffic), or it's going to be a requirement to get certain wanderers to appear.

Either way, one of the things I always liked least about TXR was that getting from one rival to the next was a real timesink if you didn't end your race near them, so having this as a way to fill in the gaps as it were will be a welcome change.

Genki made several games with an entire model lineup of contemporary Nissan cars without Nissan's permission. If it was that much of an issue the brand itself would have been absent from the series just as long as Honda has been.

Racing traffic cars was possible in RBC1GP. I'm not sure why they tout this as a novelty, unless I'm missing something.
That game wasn't released outside of Japan, and I would wager that the vast majority of people who remember the PS2 games didn't even know it existed until probably very recently.

If that's the case, it is still odd they do not take into account a very strong entry in the series. That game had some cool features, and it's a bit shame it gets disregarded just because it didn't sell well.

I feel it's more due to C1GP being its own thing and not entirely connected to Shutokou Battle series lore-wise. It's more like a parallel universe where the highway battles became a fully legitimate competition instead of remaining a vaguely defined, quasi-legal car based gang battle happening on public roadways in the dead of night.

Thinking on it, it's probably thematically closer to the Kaido Battle/TXR Drift games, since those were structured as legit competitons by day and unsanctioned dueling by night.

Much better than what it was in ITC. Never liked the design for the RX-8 in ITC of the angel wings and such. Kinda bummed that she's not using a Silvia S15, but what can you do.

However, I'm very pleased that Traitor Jackknife is coming back. And C-West is also confirmed.

Do luck just got confirmed too. I don't think I've seen any of their kits outside of Forza either.
