Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2025

I just noticed there's a little story in the new trailer too where the stock Supra tried to take on the R34 and RX7 only to get left in the dust, which thus motivates them to tune up their ride before trying again.

It seems that the rival trailers will be released from today.

The first one is Rolling Guy No.1, who was released the other day.
His AE86 has a different body kit and rims, but it is basically similar to ITC's AE86.

In addition, this rival trailer also showed the first actual gameplay footage.
The physics are not like TXR0 or TXR3, but it seems to be mainly drifting.
However, from what little footage we saw in the trailer, it looks like the physics are better than ITC's. I'm really looking forward to this.

And the preview for rival trailer No.2 is "Yamitengu".
He is a member of Phantom 9, and the word remains under his emblem.
In other words, it seems that other Phantom 9 members and Snake Eyes will also be in TXR2025.

ITC if it were done correctly

ITC if it were done correctly
Ah but my good sir it is a continuation of what ITC left off from, RG 1 is now a manager now. So he has some money leftover to customize that 86 even more now. Who knows how much power compared to his ITC counterpart itself. So on what Genki will do with Phantom 9 as they were a core team in ITC, so either to getting back at Speed King again or something else along those lines as we (the player in ITC) got him out of retirement.

I did play some ITC again to refreshen the lore on my end a bit just in case since it feels like we're nearing that mark where they'll output more gameplay centered videos.

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

In addition to the AE86 Trueno (Rolling Guy No.1), this new trailer also shows a bB and a mysterious yellow car.

I think this yellow car is probably an unknown car that hasn't been announced yet, but unfortunately, even if you play the video frame by frame, this is the only thing you can see.

My friends and I have guessed that this car is a Copen Cero or a 350Z, but what do you think this car is?

My vote's on the Copen, feel like we'd see the Z's light on top of the wheel arch from this angle if it were it.

Seeing Rolling Guy 1's livery being identical to his Import Tuner Challenge livery and a Phantom 9 member being mentioned, I wonder how the game fits in chronologically now.

Given the name I thought they would be starting from an earlier point in the timeline, but now, idk if it's a retcon/redo of Import Tuner Challenge, a sequel to Import Tuner Challenge, or perhaps a completely new timeline, borrowing bits from older games.

Yeah I'm pretty hyped now cause of that site, it's like a lid popped off and can't contain my excitement. Definitely one of the bigger unveils of the year for me. I cannot wait to play the game or try it for myself whenever it releases.

It's s chassis season again.

I know what my names gonna be if Fine Drive is a team 🤣

This game isn't coming to consoles is it... Shame.
Their trademark application includes both downloadable games and physical copies for consoles.

Genki is not a big company like EA or Bandai Namco, but a small business that hasn't released any of their games on anything other than mobile for about 10 years.

And with the rising cost of game development these days, releasing on Steam is the lowest-risk option for a company like them.

If TXR makes a lot of sales on Steam, they'll definitely release it on consoles.

Good.

Now, there was one more surprising piece of information in the video on the website.
The car driving in the oncoming lane was clearly a custom car, and it was giving off the aura that was the signature boss effect in TXR.

This car (probably an RX-8) is probably one of the bosses that appears in TXR2025.

Well, in this post I will summarize all the new information about the TXR2025 that has come to light today, including what I have posted so far and what I am posting for the first time in this post.
However, as always, please be aware that some of the information is merely speculation and may not be 100% accurate.

Genki official website renewal and TXR official website launch.
They have two big web updates today, and these two websites are the main sources of this massive new information.

A large number of unreleased car models were revealed.
These are all from videos uploaded on the TXR official website.
The list below is based on guesses made from a low-resolution video, so there may be some inaccuracies, but this is the list of models revealed in this video.
Cars with blue letters are models that have appeared in Racing Battle but have never appeared in TXR, while cars with red letters are completely new models appearing for the first time in the series.
  • 2002 Daihatsu Move Custom RS Limited
  • 1995 Mazda Eunos Roadster S-Special Type II
  • 2003 Mazda Axela Sport 23S
  • 2003 Mazda RX-8 Type S
  • 2005 Mazda Atenza Sport 23Z
  • 2019- Mazda 3
  • 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
  • 1991 Nissan Silvia K's
  • 1994 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II
  • 1996 Nissan 180SX Type X
  • 1998 Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX Version R Twin Turbo 2by2
  • 2003 Nissan Fairlady Z Version ST
  • 2015 Subaru Levorg 2.0 GT-S EyeSight
  • 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport
Notably, the list includes completely new models like the Mazda 3 and Swift Sport, as well as what appear to be remasters of Racing Battle models, like the Axela and Atenza.
This means they are actively adding new cars, and Racing Battle's archive of various unique JDM cars will be available to take advantage of, making the car list even more exciting.

Mysterious "New Boss"

As shown in my post just above, a mysterious custom car with an aura effect was briefly seen in the trailer they posted on their official website.
It's very likely that this custom car is the boss.

Reveal of a new rival's emblem.

Their website also had a short trailer for the rivals, which also included some unreleased rival emblems. Here is the list:

  • Challengers (A new and unknown team. Judging from the characteristics of the emblem, it seems to be made up of Touge drivers.)
  • Departures
  • Cupid Arrows
  • White Panther
  • Immortal Jester

Realistic JDM License Plate.

Up until now, all of the TXR trailers have only shown cars with fake license plates using the "Tokyo Xtreme Racer" title logo, leading to speculation that JDM license plates like in the real world might not be available.

However, in the newly posted video, all of the cars are equipped with JDM license plates, dispelling those fears.
Note: The 180SX license plate is an "Zikoushiki" license plate that features illuminated text.

Underglow, NOS, AFG Vinyl Graphics.

Underglow was available in Street Supremacy and ITC, but it looks like the feature will also be accessible in the TXR2025.
The trailer also shows a Supra using what appears to be a NOS boost, as well as a rival car with vinyl that appears to be from Art Factory Graphics.

PA system return.

PA (Parking Areas) are large parking spaces equipped with rest facilities along Japanese highways, and in ITC players could access these areas to obtain various information and battle specific rivals.
They have posted a caption on their website stating that players can meet rivals at PAs, so the return of the PA system is almost certain.

Wangan area return.

One of the points that drew criticism from many players at ITC was the absence of the Wangan area.
However, it seems that this area will be making a comeback in TXR2025.
In the trailer they released, footage of the R32 running through what appears to be Wangan is shown. There is also footage of what appears to be high-speed sections such as Yokohane, so speed-freaks won't be disappointed like we were at ITC!

You can experience a demo version of the TXR2025 at FuelFest SCOTTSDALE.

According to their press release, a demo version of the TXR2025 will be exhibited at the Genki booth at FuelFest SCOTTSDALE tomorrow, and visitors will be able to play around with it for free.

BOMEX has made a new "leak".

BOMEX, a Japanese body kit brand known for their Bryan Supra body kit from The Fast and the Furious, posted photos of some of their iconic body kits to their blog along with the TXR2025 trailer, hinting that their body kits will be appearing in the game.

That's what we found out today. Did you see anything that caught your eye?

And for those of you living in the US, if you can make it to FuelFest, I'd love to hear from you!!!

Oh my god....I have no words. This is AMAZING AS HELL!!!

Time for the list of cars confirmed be updated! But man, seeing a Seat in Tokyo Xtreme Racer is VERY interesting..... And good that Cupid Arrows are back, along with the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. The gameplay however....Is pretty good, but not sure about the way cars turn. It seemed weird to me.

This is just a guess, but the unnatural handling in the video on the website is probably because they're using a keyboard to control the steering.

The basis for this is multiple unnatural steering operations that cannot be seen with stick operations.

Their trailer didn't seem to have much time to edit, probably because they're releasing it in time for tomorrow's FuelFest.

The footage is probably old, from before gamepad support was introduced.

The new website has been launched and the gameplay videos it contains are shocking.

There are so many unannounced cars included. This is shocking. The car list will definitely be bigger than ITC.

Parking Areas similiar to the ones found in the Kaido Battle series & ITC? Improved WM PS3/ITC handling model from the looks of it? ITC-like customization (neon, NOS, livery editor etc.)?

Oh My God Wow GIF

I can't wait till this hits consoles. F me. The wait is going to be painful.
Hopefully the Steam release is successful and Genki is able to improve the game further through community feedback.

It's... it's at demo stage? I know it is building on what they had, and hopefully the FuelFest crowd is honest and not fickle, but that alone is so encouraging.

I can't recall a major racing game being this up front about content, and after GT7 finally crossed the line to get on my s-list, I'm so ready for something different and something that, at least in development stage respects my time and attention.

Amen brother.

I'm with you guys on that one, maybe soon we might get the demo version for Steam sometime soon (if they can do this). As a demo before you get the actual game like olden times would be glorious. But can't wait to hear on how it actually plays and if I lived near Arizona I would of loved to go to that event.
