……… This is torture!!!
1. I'm stuck in school thinking about Dragonthing's V10 screaming down the Nurburgring's straights
2. Are Group D testers all that lazy?! Y NO ONE START YET??!?!????!!?

Braaaaaaaaap, screech, bwaaaaaaaaaaap etc :dopey: you will love it, even when you spend every lap reversing it out of the walls :sly:
And I want to see comments on my car dammit!

Same 'ere! ARGH FACK IT, PRISONBREAK TIME!

No waitÂ…I can't. :dopey:

working on it , i'm only allowed 2 or 3 lines per car wich is not a lot so i have to shorten my useall walls of text by 400%

 I was just joking about that! No, you can write however much you want, but just get your point across in the most clear cut way possible.

Are Group D testers all that lazy?! Y NO ONE START YET??!?!????!!?

I saw posts allready so i pretty much spend all day with this , no i am done just need to do the writing bit seeing i didn't wannabe the tester everyone had to wait for , seems no i am actually the first one :P

 I was just joking about that! No, you can write however much you want, but just get your point across in the most clear cut way possible.

walls of endless text incoming !!!!

just kidding

2 questions. First questioned answered itself because I was going to ask how did everyone get santa style smiles, but I can see them on the side now lol.

Second question. So I'm a little confused on how all these different contest will come together as one at the end. The top two guys from each category move onto the finals. Meaning the finals will be 8 cars at two brand new tracks. Does getting to the finals mean most points for each category incorporating weight, lap times, photo and drivers choice? Than I assume we have a final everything meaning new photo contest too with the new test drivers again doing laps and rating for drivers choice and weight? Basically this is a contest for 8 cars and what we are doing now is just a qualifying trial right? All the drivers who do not make it to the final are just disqualified, correct?

^ I like to think of it like its a Pentathlon, 5 different events where you need to do fairly well all round to move on to the next round.

will the cars stay the same if we go to a new track ? i mean same model and tunes or new tunes or ...
oh hell i don't know , i'm going back to my writing of my testing review , so much text and no idea how to shorten it :P

I guess it is time for my results , since i saw people we're allready posting i hurried up today so no)one had to wait for me , all cars have run at least 20 laps on each track , mostly 5 lap runs or call them hotlap attempts :P

Driving pleasure scorebord

1) Onboy123 Mercedes CL626 'Blue Whale’

At 2155kg this is defenatly a whale , and with "only" 626bhp it will defantly not become the fastest car out there . When compared to the stock version you have done wonders , but in the end its just not a fun car to drive .
It just lacks the puff , i tried and tried lap after lap to push it that bit harder but this is a car for cruising not racing .

6/10

---------------------------------------------------------------

2) Dragonthing BMW M5 '08 "Sturmdrachen"

Ah the BMW M5 , a true autobahn monster . And after you tuned not only a autobahn monster but also a very nice track car , this was a very intresting car . It kepth giving me the feeling that it had more in it , sadly i wasn't able to get it out . Very frustrating seeing it only could be one of two reasons ... the car or the driver and i am pretty sure it is the drivers fault :banghead: .
It is a very nice ride , not to overpowerd but just enough to keep you sharp in those corners , shifting gears midcorner is a killer on this car tho , and with me driving AT ( i am so terribly bad at MT ) it caused a few " whoops " moments . I do thinks if you have a better driver with MT you could make it 1 or 2 seconds faster . It was a fun car to drive not spectacular but just good old fun .

8/10

---------------------------------------------------------------

3) Johnnypenso Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro '09

The R8 , it is defenatly the fastest of the bunch , a very good and solid tune . Fast and easy to drive , i would not have any idea on improving this car . I really think it is at its very top under these conditions , i have never been an Audi fan but this car has proven me wrong . Deutsche grundlichkeit ,
I tried looking for a link to you're garage but didn't find one , i can only say if all you're tunes are like this ... get one asap !!
oh and according to you're entry post my monza hotlap was a great time đź‘Ť

8.5/10

4) MrGrado Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09

This corvette was like it was build by the hand of god . The stabilaty combined with the speed is beyond words . It might have been a little slower then the R8 but it kepth me hooked from the first corner . I actually went to the menu to make sure there we're sport tires on it . If it was up for sale i would buy it instantly . Yet the question arises , is it a supersport or a Grand tourer , i think its the best of both worlds . I can only remember a handfull of cars in GT5 that got me instantly hooked like this one .

The Grand tourer , just looking at this car is enough to fall in love ( exept for the color of the car you used on borrow :P ) . Yet looks alone are not enough , but for this one that aint a problem . It handles the way a Gran Tourer should . Easy to drive and fast , yes it might not be the fastest of the bunch but that doesn't matter one bit . This car represents what Gran Touring is all about . Driving down the coastline heading south , doing some shopping or taking it to the track nothing seems to be a problem .

6) sheephead99 Mercedes C63 AMG 'GT Edition'

This 760bhp beast had me work like there is no tomorrow , you will constantly fight this car . The power on the rear wheels is so high it will keep spinning well into 3rd ( on straights ) if you floor it . Trotthle controle is mandatory , this car takes no prisoners . But at the same time it is fun to drive leaving clouds of smoke behind you every corner . Maybe a little less power output would have been better . Yet because it is so extreme it is very difficult to give the right score . seeing we have to give scores for it beeing easy to drive and the fun factor .
So i can hope you understand the

Thanks to all the tuners for giving me the chance of driving you're cars , it was a very fun and learning experience . I hope you can understand my comments and relate to them . I tried my best to be as good as possible but seeing this is the first time i am participating in such an event it was not the easiest job .
In any ways thanks again

Score sheet just got an update. Everything to this point should now be in for review.

DaDog, thank you for the excellent review, glad you liked the car. No I don't have a garage, I just tune for my own purposes and decided to enter a couple of these shootouts to see if groups of different drivers could drive my tunes. I've learned quite a bit in tuning in the last contest, and I think I enjoy test driving even more...:)

And your lap times are excellent đź‘Ť you have nothing to worry about.

Well, remember that although the car has 600+hp, I tuned it to be a GT car first and foremost, not a trackday special. It's relaxed pace, not at all dramatic. Mind youÂ…The Black Baron will have something to say about thatÂ…:mischievous:

Thanks for the test regardless though. đź‘Ť

Lol I knew I didn't need the turbo. Anyway 7/10 isnt that bad :) cheers for the review

i'm would defenatly be up for testing it without the turbo , see how it is then . The score has been given so i can't change it anymore but the feedback might be intresting , it is up to you

Yes this was very hard for me to post , i know how tuners put a lot of effort in it , thats why i did compare it to a stock version ( wich i mentionend in my scoreboard ) keep in mind it is a personal view .

@ XDesperado67

How much time is there left for first round testing ? i was wondering seeing i am considering testing another group if there is time and if i am allowed :P .
I was thinking about group A seeing there are some intresting cars in there . If needs to be another group is ok as well . Just wondering ....

edit i really should have put it all in one post :( , looks like i am spamming like hell now , sorry bout that

Oh no no no, don't take that comment the wrong way and think that I'm being bitter. I knew that thing's going to come last from the start! I picked it purely because I can't, and refuse to, tune cars to be scary. Anyway, I thought testers would need a bit of a break from the bonkers hyper nutters here with a more serene entry…now, if only I could get the stock gearbox on, it would be even calmer in there…!!!

Anyway…my turn to test…

Thanks, good you like it, Easy to drive and fast was my goal, just to fit to this beautyfull car. The collor yes, i change it later on the pic, but i let my car matte light red, the way it was first . Just to let the test drivers more aggressive.
Great report.

I shall be taking your car for a drive this evening, Sir. I want to see how it drives compared to Hami's. The Masser was my second choice car. I'm also going to take Dee's Challenger out for a spin, as he seems to have beaten me all over the park. The Challenger was my 3rd or 4th choice car (and the only other car my Wife liked, she likes all things retro).

Looks like I'll be relying on my photo submission to get through to the next round. I'm not convinced it's going to be A) quick enough or B) an enjoyable enough ride (compared to the others on offer). Just as well I currently have the photo section pretty much wrapped up (thanks to those who voted for the Jaaaaaaaaaaaaag :)đź‘Ť)...

PS - Loving the Festive hats on the smilies. This one sums up how I feel about this time of year: :grumpy: Bah-bloody-humbug..!! :yuck:

@CyKosis hope you like "Isabella".

Funny your looking for the Photo category to get you into the finals, when it might be the category that keeps me out of the finals!

Yeah I'm gonna have a bit more play with it. If I could get the wheelspin under control then it wouldn't be a bad car. I'm happy with my score :)

Comments

Group A
XDesperado67 Dodge Challenger SRT8 '08 "Isabella":What can I say, she's a sweet ride, with neutral handling and limited wheelspin only under hard acceleration out of the slower corners. Good tire wear with great brakes that haul her back down to cornering speeds quickly with no loss of control. You do have to show some respect with the throttle over the curbs in London or they'll kick her tail around into oversteer, otherwise handles bumps and curbs smoothly keeping you aware of the roads surface without ever jarring you. Overall an excellent combination of driver friendliness and performance, that is fun and engaging without being demanding. Drivers Choice 1st
wildheart90 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 '09: Very fast car with good ride and handling. Unfortunately seems to lack grip, as the car doesn't so much understeer as such, but instead slides sideways with all four tires going red. Speaking of tires it is fairly hard on them and lap times noticeable suffer from even slight wear due to reduced grip. Drivers Choice 5th
CyKosis1973 Jaguar XKR Coupe '10: Nice grip, smooth ride with good feel for the road surface. Generally handles bumps and curbs well but some care must be exercised through the last sector of London to avoid knocking the rear end loose resulting in throttle oversteer. Very slight understeer that is most noticeable in mid and high speed corners where you have to delay a bit longer before jumping back on the throttle. Tire wear is adequate at best with the rears wearing faster than the fronts due to a tendency towards wheelspin under hard acceleration. Handling remains consistently good even with tire wear although the rear end does get looser and more prone to wheelspin. Drivers Choice 3rd
oopssorryy Lexus GS300 '00: Unfortunately understeer, which surprisingly is more apparent in London, prevents this car from reaching its full potential. Very good tire wear complemented by good brakes help it to maintain consistent lap times. Having a smooth ride that isn't upset by the bumps and curbs is a plus, but the slower acceleration and lower top end leaves it well behind most cars here. Still a very pleasant drive despite its shortcomings. Drivers Choice 6th
Rallywagon C-Fresh Tuned Subaru Legacy B4 Blitzen '00: Simply lacks the power to keep up. Great neutral handling that's totally unphased by bumps and curbs, excellent brakes and the best tire wear I've seen. Absolute pleasure to drive and will continue laying down consistent laps within a couple tenths of a second until well after most cars here have pitted for their second or third set of tires. Given another 100HP from somewhere it would be a top contender. Drivers Choice 4th
CSLACR Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR '08: Very fast car with great handling though some care must be exercised in London over the curbs as they can upset the car. Throttle control is important to get the best performance, but the car has less wheelspin than you might expect from its power. Definitely at its best on the open track of Monza where it can show off its speed and exceptional grip in the high speed corners. Tire wear is okay as long as you keep the rear wheelspin to a minimum. Best sounding car in the entire Blowout which really enhances the driving pleasure. Drivers Choice 2nd

Group B
Indy Racerfan SLR AMG "Breaking Wrist": Very good speed and tire wear. Slight hint of understeer that's most noticeable in the high speed corners on Monza. Handles the curbs in London well. Overall a good car that's fairly easy to drive fast. Despite the speed and ease of driving the car feels somewhat remote and isn't as engaging a drive as some of the other cars in the group. Drivers Choice 3rd
DigitalBaka Ferrari California '08 GT "Solar Flare": Excellent tire wear and handling that stays good even when tires get down to 50% wear. Predictable yet fun to drive. Generally handles the curbs in London well although you can induce oversteer when crossing them by injudicous application of the throttle. Only real drawback is a disappointing lack of speed, expected more zip in acceleration and a higher top speed from a Ferrari. Drivers Choice 4th
madmyk Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '09: Extremely fast as expected. Unfortunately understeer and lackluster brakes keep this beast from totally blowing away the competition. Tire wear is okay though you do start losing the fronts first causing the understeer to worsen. Drivers Choice 5th
Jackthalad BMW M3 Coupe '07: Great driving feel and very fun car to drive. Feels lighter, more responsive and nimble than the other cars in the group. Your more aware of the curbs in London but they don't upset the cars handling. Very good tire wear. Driving sensation is definitely on the sporty side of the GT spectrum and not so much the comfortable high speed cruiser. Low top speed is only real drawback. Drivers Choice 2nd
sean10mm Audi RS6 Avant '08: Smooth is the best term to describe this car. It is an absolute joy to drive just flowing around the track whether it's the tight streets of London or the open roads of Monza. As good as this car is it made me wonder why sean10mm didn't go all in on the power, and the only conclusion I can make, after a quick couple of laps on both tracks, with the sports ECU and High RPM turbo fitted, is he wanted to match classes commonly found online. No matter though as this is most assuredly my pick as the best driving car in this group.:gtpflag: Drivers Choice 1st
GPdesign Withdrawn due to technical issues.

Group C
tris_73 Mercedes Benz, SL 65 AMG (R230) '04:Nice car that unfortunately feels faster than it's lap times show. Brakes were just about perfect for me. Good feel that kept you aware of the road surface without being jarring. Suffers from very mild high speed understeer. Has good tire wear. Drivers Choice 2nd
ACSR421 Lamborghini Murcialago LP670-4 SV '09 "Bodacious": Very fast easy to drive car. Well behaved, yet let's you feel the road. Steering felt a bit "tight", for lack of a better term, in London, but was great at Monza. Another car with first class brakes. Excellent tire wear. Drivers Choice 1st
krenkme Nissan GT-R SPEC V '09: Very fast, edgy car. Feels very loose and care is needed in London or the curbs will upset it. At Monza it seems to be a little short on grip. Tire wear is adequate at best and handling deteriorates along with the tires. Has the worst transmission whine of any car tested. Drivers Choice 6th
Motor City Hami Maserati GranTurismo S '08: Reasonably quick if you can manage to get your lines and speeds into corners correct but not an easy car to drive fast. Lacks of grip, understeers, and is easily upset by curbs. Tire wear isn't great either and handling only gets worse as the tires get eaten. Drivers Choice 4th
Shmogt Bugatti Veyron 16.4 2009: Extreme speed is the highlight here. Unfortunately bad understeer, and brake issues prevent a greater exploration of this insanely fast cars full capabilities. The heavy rearward bias of the torque splitter means you'll get the rear wheels spinning under hard acceleration out of slower corners. Meanwhile the front tends to lock up early under heavy braking. Both these factors combine to fairly quick tire wear which only increases the problems. Drivers Choice 5th
nomis3613 Mercedes Benz, SL 65 AMG (R230) '04: Definitely the faster of the two SL 65s with its greater power. Driving feel is smooth but more isolated than tris_73's car. Suffers from understeer that is easily countered in London tighter corners with some extra throttle to break the rearend loose. However, this isn't really an option in the longer medium and high speed corners. Tire wear is decent but the rears tend to give out first because of spinning under hard acceleration. Brakes are solid if a bit heavy and the car doesn't turn in well under hard braking. Drivers Choice 3rd

Group D
Onboy123 Mercedes CL626 'Blue Whale’: Wonderful ride, smooth handling with no real over or under steer. Excellent tire wear aided by good brakes that get the job done with no muss or fuss. Good as a luxury car getting around town and wonderful high speed cruiser on the autobahn, but as a track day performance machine it falls well short of the other cars here. Not a fault of the tune which is outstanding but rather a simple product of the cars limitations. Drivers Choice 3rd
Dragonthing BMW M5 '08 "Sturmdrachen": A well dressed thugs. If Onboy's car represents refined luxury for societies civilized upper class, this is a gangster in a tuxedo. In a surprise amongst all these heavyweights you find a car with oversteer instead of the more prevalent understeer. The front is surprisingly grippy leading to ultra quick turn in and good mid corner lines. Some care must be taken on corner exit not to overcook it and have the rear break free. The suspension provides a harsher ride that can become unsettled by bumps and curbs. Also there seems to be an issue with weight transfer as the car struggles with rapid directional transitional moves. A bit hard on tires, especially the rear, but handling, remains consist. Fun drive once you adapt to the over steer. Drivers Choice 4th
Johnnypenso Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro '09: Very fast, smooth drive. Nothing upsets this car, you have to be very ham fisted to get it to break loose and even then is incredibly easy to get back under control. Excellent tire wear that provides highly consistent laps for much longer than many of the other cars here. My only question is, where do I put the luggage for that weekend get away on the French Riviera with my girlfriend? Drivers Choice 1st
MrGrado Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (C6) '09: Fast car that's fun to drive. More of the muscle car brute force approach than a refined performance machine. Massive amounts of HP and torque, combined with a fairly high LSD setting, means you can light the rear tires up even exiting medium speed corners. Has good grip and turn in, but stiff suspension and its propensity to spin the rear wheels makes it rather nervous on bumps and over curbs. Tire wear is adequate at best and real care with the throttle is required to prevent shredding the rear tires. Drivers Choice 6th
praiano63 Maserati Gran Turismo S '08: Great driving feel, keeps you aware of the road surface without being stiff or getting upset by bumps and curbs. Excellent tire wear that is aided by wonderful brakes and a transmission/LSD combo that results in almost no wheelspin. Very good car overall. Drivers Choice 2nd
sheephead99 Mercedes C63 AMG 'GT Edition': Here is a Merc with an attitude. While a touch more refined in London than Dragonthing's M5 it will still punish you for having to heavy of a foot and not showing the curbs enough respect. For some reason I found it a bit twitchy at Monza where I struggled to lay down clean laps. The brakes felt a bit soft for my driving style which contributed to my problems at Monza. Tire wear was okay but even slight wear made it more difficult to get predictable handling. Drivers Choice 5th

@CyKosis hope you like "Isabella".

Funny your looking for the Photo category to get you into the finals, when it might be the category that keeps me out of the finals!

Ideally you would want things to stay exactly the same as they are now, cause you would get in due to your weight advantage. ;)

Nope cause I'm currently tied in points with CSLACR in the scored categories but the photo category isn't scored currently and I'm trailing CSLACR there.:odd:

Now if I could move up in drivers choice then we might have a tie breaker determined by weight.:sly:

No matter what it looks like all the groups are running very tight for those top two spots here in the early going.đź‘Ťđź‘Ť
