yea, I like bicycles... Would I be right in saying I'm the youngest person here at the ripe old age of 21?

Sam,i envy you....not because of the bikes, but your age... :)

So many things i would have done dif..... ahhh, never mind, enjoy it mate and don't hold back!!

:sly:

spy.

Phillip

Good photo's gents, and you have shown what you like getting upto.... nice touch. Atleast now I can see Sam has all five fingers and not some robotic arm now I atleast feel human :).

I totally get where you're coming from Phil and I nomally wave to people on the overtake you just don't see it. 👍

Lol, Jon.
I think you're wrong though, I don't think those are biking gloves, they're the latest in nano-tech robotics, which give him atomic accuracy. He can probably ride both bikes at the same time too. I'm still convinced he's an alien, no matter how innocent his smile looks.

Great racing last night.
Thanks Jon, Phil, Captain, Turbo, Noss, Replay, Davinci, DanH, Steven, Many more that I'll remember once I look at the replays, oh and SUM-ONE-SPECIAL... he indeed was someone special.

Not my day today... horrible things at work,no sleep at all last night, heater broke at home will be fixed only tomorrow afternoon so its 10 celcius in the house... :grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

Couldn't concentrate at all during racing, best i stopped...

But,tomorrow is another day :)

I realised something... If you add my first initial 's' to my psn name you get captain_stiggles. Remove 1 third of the name you get captain_stig. Remove the captain... 'Stig', coincidence?

It was interesting having Holland around today

Brilliant, our very own Stig.
Some say he's had a DS3 fitted in to his car instead of a wheel...
...and if you look deep in to his eyes, you'll notice they're upside down...all we know is, he's called the Stig.

Was a great night last night, some high caliber racing going on.
Favourite comment of the night was from GTP_VEXD.
"I feel like I'm sitting in the back row of the international Gods convention"
High praise indeed.

Anyway, I'm hoping to get on for more of the same this evening.
We should have a new track too.

👍

Little video of Lotus V8 free run testing. 1'29.517

Not to bad a time for an old codger :) can't seem to find any other cars as smooth that will get me into 1'29s. And I'm
Amazed at how much of a difference there is in the game between online and offline physics, what feels good offline is a bag of --- :yuck: online, come on guys lets see if we can get Share with friends cars useable for online racing too.
It would open a whole new ball game for online racing

Great time there Phil.
I bought that V8 lotus last night, so will give it a test run tonight.

Is the physics really that different?
I seldom play the game on my own, so wouldn't know.

You'll see, do a number of laps on the Tonephil track offline, then drive the same online at Tonephil see what you think

Sorry to read this I feel for you Spy. Hopefully you can take out some frustration today, on the track that is.

Brilliant, our very own Stig.

And to think I have to take all this into consideration when creating tracks. But what was your verdict racing Tonephil offline? (Sorry I can't watch the reply on the work PC just going to sneak off to the IT room to watch it)
I know for one the track is more enjoyable.

Loving the video Phil, TCRS hehehe (wink wink)

Never to late, we've missed you.

Edit: Sorry I'm not sure who's online.

I just realised something…. if my psn ID is showing that I’m online that’s because my brother may be racing on my PS3 so it may look like I’m there but I’m not lol. I will try my best to get online asap.

LEGEND. I'm fully printing that out onto an inspirational poster and putting it on my wall.

The physics things is true. I can precall playing around Spa on the F2007 setting it up as best I could offline... Find a lobby online thinking, 'YOU WILL BE NO MATCH!'.

.... The car was going backwards by the time I hit the top of eau-rouge

Good turn out last night, to keep it fresh may I make a suggestion for the weekend racing, having a 5 lap sprint race and a 15 lap one pit stop race, pit between lap 7 & 12 can skip the fuel if you so wish but must change tyres.

There is enough of us to inform guys coming into the room of what to do, so it’s not down to just Alexi / Jon to keep the information posted in race.

Set it to recycle every 5 minutes so you have a 5lap dry / 15lap / 5lap Night / 15lap you could drop a wet in if you like or part wet change tyres to wets.

I’ve also been watching one of the replays from last night with the odd lagging, this from what I can see was to do with the accelerator (Gas) more than anything else, the power was flickering this could be down to the room settings not the hosts connection. Try lowering the quality to one below recommended and the voice to low, from reading the info pages this may help the smooth running if guests join with let’s say a slower connection (being polite) High quality is good but it doesn’t take much to upset the apple cart.

I obviously have too much time on my hands on a Saturday morning sad ---, oh and turbonato your standard of driving is not bad, but you’ll have to watch how you take the first turn (you can’t win the race in turn one) let’s not forget if you hit someone you must wait for them to rejoin in their rightful place.

Watching the video it wasn’t just guests or non GTP members either.

Phillip.

Tested another car for this great Tonephil track.

I'm sure if I could just get on the gas that little bit sooner I may get the high 1'27.9s. Being an ex-chauffeur I find it goes against the grain of being as smooth as I can.

Great lap times phil and good idea about doing the odd pitstop race.

Room open: 1472-6399-9009-5382-2283

I won't be opening a room tonight and I'm not sure Jon will be about.

Phil, turbo, Ian, captain or any of the usual suspects can open a room on our behalf if you like.

Hi Phil, I'm glad you're enjoying the track as Alexi has said create a room if you wish.

A quick race tonight before Dinner.

GTP_Alexi RX 8 Type S '03,
GTP_Sutuki Lotue Esprit V8 '02
GTP_Eriba Lotue Evora '09
Guest Touhis Toyota GT Four '02

I only just hung on till the line, but I'm sure if Alexi and Ali had not had a few mistakes it would of ended a different way. 👍

Some pics I think worthy of posting will follow.

Phillip.

Hmmm, did the TCR go on holiday this weekend?....

:odd:

spy.

Hey Spy

Yes, sorry to all that were hoping TCR would be around this weekend.

I had to go to a rubbish party on Saturday, most of which was spent trying to pretend that the awful car crash was not happening right in front of me. It involved newly painted white walls, zebra skin rugs, a crazy girl and copious amounts of wine. Needless to say, the walls and rug didn't do too well in this scenario. Oh the joys of socialising with your wife's friends.

Then on Sunday I had an early Christmas with friends, which probably involved just as much wine, but we managed to keep it off the walls and rugs. What a difference the company makes to a party.

Looking forward to tonight though.
Fully back in the saddle.

p.s. Nice video Phil, more if you can muster!

👍

Spy did you miss us.

Sorry Spy but I had to be farther Christmas on Saturday for three and a half hours, I saw 120+ kids and was mentally challenged by the end of it, and just couldn’t gather any strength to turn on the PS3.

Alexi that sounds like one busy weekend. Brilliant.

I think Sam was interested in using the Lotus Elise 96 RM for an event so we’ll probably do some testing with this. If I were to use this car I’d either max it out on sports soft or as is on comfort softs. I must be honest I haven’t really had a chance to make any good tracks lately but I have shared a 6* rating track that hopefully Alexi and the gents or anybody can test tonight and see what the out come is.

Anyway I hope you guys had a good weekend and hope to see you on track later.

Take it easy.

Ok, sounds like a plan.

I'll be opening a room for some testing later, so get yourself an Elise 96 and race modify it. We may also try it stock, so have one in reserve just in case!

I would also recommend a snazzy paint job, it won't give you any time, but it'll make it easier to spot yourself on the videos that we'll be making once the racing is under way.

👍
