Thankyou noss for the settings, cars running great now. Still not as quick as you but hopefully i'll be on your exhaust soon. Thanks again mate.

One of the races from testing last night.

There was the odd spill here and there but looked good fun, good track and car mix but I found it a little too hard for me to catch the wayward back end with my slow reactions.

Trying a new tune online, but I maybe a little slow at 1'50.8

Phillip.

Had great fun last night guys. I'll be about tonight for somemore track fun if anyone's aboot?

Hey all

I'll be updating the thread with the regs for the latest event very soon.

Phil - Since your video, the track has been changed to one created by none other than Captain D. I think it will be more to your liking and is sure to provide some excellent racing. Can't wait to get some races going.

Noss - Thanks for posting the tune, it will be much appreciated by all at TCR.

👍

Hi gents I don’t know if you’re still track testing tonight, and if you are I have shared a track that has a pretty normal first corner followed by a left kink then up the hill were there is a tight little chicane were you will see your competitor bouncing over the curbs, and depending on how much speed you carry through this will determine the battle all the way up the hill to the second sector were the battle could carry all the way through the second sector which consists of a really grippy right hander that you can power out of just before hard braking to a left hand corner which is tricky finding the right racing line but important for the back straight, then the back straight and any battles will have to be sorted out before the last sector as it’s a tight (narrow) left right. A nice little 2.5 mile circuit that has lots of character.

It’s going to be a late one for me but I will be online tonight.

Edit: Phil just watched your replay (great replay) looks like a tight technical track. Whose was it?

Small and MIGHTY

Well lets see, what happened in 1996?
Bill Clinton re-elected as President of USA.
M.C. Hammer files for bankruptcy. How did I miss this? I would have started a charity had I of known.
Dolly the Sheep(s) is cloned/born.
Carl Sagan dies, very sad and a massive loss for geeks.
and this little beast went on sale…

Stole the images from PAPPACLART, hope you don't mind Ryan!

Having been Race Modified and fitted with Sports Hard tyres it has enough grip for some great side-to-side action, but still slippery enough to for a challenging drive.

See you guys on track!

CURRENT COMBO : SMALL AND MIGHTY

RACE NO: 9 OPEN

START DATE: Tuesday 13th December
CAR: Elise 96 RACE MODIFIED
WEIGHT: 650KG
TYRES: Sports Hard
TUNING: Unrestricted

TRACK 1: Available from GTP_Cpt_Disaster
TRACK 2: Available from GTP_Joylord

Some of the regulations may change, but will do my best to keep it updated.

Jon - Not sure who's that track was. Called Lyon, might be Dave's? We'll definitely give you track a go tonight. Maybe we'll keep the Elise's for a 2 week stretch and use both tracks?

Love the little touches with TCR, man you are cool. You're right maybe we need some feedback from the guys maybe we are changing the cars to quick.

Tiggles setup for the little car that could.

Elise '96 RM
Around Jon's new track (don't know the name)

Engine mods all on, Except turbo and the ECU. Engine is limited by 2-4% depending on how much you've run it.

Aero is maxed out at both ends.

0 Ride height -6
9.6 springs 9.6
5 dampers 7
5 dampers 7
4 anti-roll bars 4

1.8 camber 1.0
0.05 toe 0.03

LSD
initial torque 25
accel sens 30
braking sens 15

brakes themselves are at default.

Cars pretty fun and special in the way you drive, as a wise Spy has stated there's a bucket load of grip for a car with limited power. Basically because of this, the way i drive it feels strange as you have to floor it by the time you get to the apex, if not before... fun little thing. Really makes me concentrate.

1'28.640 is the time I managed. I know there's enough talent out there to beat it :)

Thanks for the wise setup Sam... ;)

Also mention that you've changed the weight ballst,as this made a huge difference to me in the way the car ballances thru the corner, especially in an oversteer situation it is much more controlable!

Great racing tonight,i am finally getting a bit more used to the new wheel,as i was struggling with confidence the last week, now i am getting the feeling thru the pedals and different ffb back...this is very different with the dfgt wheel wich i used for 2 years!!

See you all tomorrow i hope 👍👍

Great racing as always and thanks for posting your set-up too Tiggles.
I think I get on better with Noss's, but I might do what Spy has and combine the two.

I should have a couple of pics up this evening, but it depends when I finish work :(

Hello,

I've been reading up in the club-section looking for some extra online-fun and I'm wondering if it would be allright to stop by this evening to participate in your testing session. Will the room number be posted here when it's up?
Thanks in advance.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for letting me get a feel for TCR.
And thanks for putting up with me when I was doing my imitation of a mobile chicane. :sly:

After ev'ryone left I tried some things and got my time down to 1.29.0xx with NOSS 's setup. (My own setup 'only' got me a 29.9) Compliments go to you Noss.👍

Hope to see you again tonight,
Greetz Cobani

One of the many races from last nights encounter at TCR-Prectory Elise RM 187bhp / 650Kg race.

Featuring guest Cobani doing really well on this demanding track. 👍

I've tried to capture as much of the action going on for the five laps.

Some great passing moves and even the top guys were not exempt from the odd spill, as this track catches you out when going that extra mile.

I know my video grabber is not the best of quality but hope you enjoy the video.

Phillip.

There was a good turnout last night as people came and went, but to be honest if you want your weekly fix and test your concentration levels then this event takes the cake and there was a theme that whoever had fresh legs so to speak was winning a race but the guys to beat Spy, Noss and I apologise if I’ve missed you but I was so focused on my own racing as I had some good fun battles last night.

I’ll try get a video up if I get a chance.

Thanks Phillip for the video.

Great video Phil.

Due to my lack of time on the track, I still haven't quite got it yet, but I hope to change that with a good session this evening.

Nice to see some new faces in the TCR room, but there's plenty room for more.

👍

Watching the video Reminds me of ten multi-coloured wasps :scared: who is going to get stung next :nervous:

Phillip.

Hey all

I'm not going to be able to get on until very late in the evening :( . If any of the usual suspects want to make a room, please go ahead and I'll try to join you later.

👍

I'll be on later tonight, unless I get 'early access' to the tv. :grumpy:

Here a picture of a race from yesterday, where REPLAY was definitely the faster driver, but I recorded my first ever win on TCR. :sly:

TCR_LotusElise_RM.jpg

I thought I would make a picture of it, 'cause I don't think it's gonna happen again any time soon. You guys are fast!:cheers:

Awesome picture Cobani, you should be our resident photographer :)

Thanks for opening a room Phil. 👍

Still can't get online, hopefully later.

Couldn't go online because I'm working tonight.. chauffeuring tipsy people home ;-)

We like this type of contributions on TCR. Nice one Cobani

I just want to thank the guys that have stuck it out this week as at the best of times the Elise is a difficult car to drive well at least in my opinion. I thought the track was pretty fun and I do apologise as I didn’t use the Elise to create the track but if I could add a tip with a soft suspension if you increase the rear camber to +- 4.0 and no camber in the front it tends to reduce the grip on the rear therefore stopping you from a massive tank slapper. I haven’t had a lot of track time so can’t really talk about gear ratio or anything else for that matter.

I’ll try get a video up later of one of an eventful race I had during the week.

Had some good races last night. Enjoyed the fights with Cpt_D, Cobani and Spy especially.
I really think grip reduction should be set to real to keep off course racing to a minimum.

Hey all

Sounds like there was some good racing going on.

I managed to get on very late and made a couple of tracks. Will probably make another this afternoon and do a bit of testing. The tracks wouldn't necessarily be for the Elise as I'm thinking about the next event too.

Anyone got any ideas for a car to use in the next event?
My ideas are

Clio Trophy race car
