I really think grip reduction should be set to real to keep off course racing to a minimum.

I tend to agree, it will spice things up (even more!), because mistakes will be punished, so there will be a bigger (tactical) difference between pushing really hard and holding back a bit during the race.
Also 'False start' will make the run to the first corner less predictable.

Yesterdays racing had Cpt_D and myself in a very tight battle all the way to the finish with a 0.004 gap.

Tomorrow anybody in for some alfa romeo 8c tuned/stock testing?

The car sounds absolutely great in stock,but its not an easy car to drive on the limit,so maybe it will be better to tune it for grip and than set a nice hp/pp limit... :)

Yeah, had some awesome races last night.
It's been a while since I made a decent track and it was my least favourite of the three I made at the weekend.

I'm hoping to be around later this evening, as I've got lots of work on today.
Last nights track is available from my community, so if anyone is able to open a room today/tonight, feel free to download and start racing.


Testing on Monday.
Looks like the 8C is popular, but I do wonder how close we can keep the racing, so I'll be bringing a stock and tuned version. I would also recommend people bring a tuned RX8. Easy to drive, so it should make close racing.

Very true indeed! Here is a shot of the driver to crack into the 1.25 laptimes first, PASM. (Very rare view of him behind other cars by the way ...)

So as nice as the Alfa Romeo 8c is,its not the way to go ...

Lets test(as alexi suggested)some other cars tomorrow!

I am thinking something more like a 350-400 hp rear wheel drive car with good balance...

I would like to do a touring car event. Can anybody tell me the minimum weight for the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93 as I believe it’s the lightest car? but I stand to be corrected or can it reach a maxium weight of 1200kg? And how do you guys feel about this.
 
I like the sound of a race car event.
I think the Alpha will easily reach 1200kg Jon. I've got a few touring cars and GT300 cars to try tonight.

I've got lots of work on, so might not be on until 9ish, but will try for 8.

Anyone of the regulars can open a room, make it private so we can try a few tracks etc..

I would also like to go for a big LONG three sector track with a good number of laps tyre wear, fuel depletion, irregular fuel stops, heavy damage the works.


edit: How nice would it be if when doing the room settings you could choose how much fuel your event will have when you start the race.

I would like to tryout a Toscana long track as well as a circuit track. Racing in the night would be cool but I can’t say I can do anything with the fire works.

edit: I think a good weight for the cars is a 1200kg as it allows loads of cars. Unrestricted tyres

edit: but I have a track shared,... but I'm not sure who has driven it ( Whansway Circuit )
 
I've done a bit of research with regards to what Touring Cars there are and I found this list.

I only had a choice of 4 cars last night when selecting the Touring Car only in the Car Restrictions menu, but I'm sure I've got the FTO and the Subaru in this list. So it looks like Touring Cars is only DTM Touring Cars as the 1st list doesn't seem to be valid.

Should we open it up to other Touring Cars or DTM only?
Possibly GT300 can be thrown in the mix too?

Indeed it was an amazing night of racing. Compliments to Alex, it was a beautiful technical track very suited to the nimble Elise 👍 :). And also all the drivers :sly: The standard was excellent with side by side action through almost all of sector one with 3+ cars as a highlight 👍

Can we start off with room settings
Weather at start 0
Surface weather at start 0
Weather changeability to 10
Time progression to 60

I've added these settings to a track I have shared and see how it turns out, throw in a bit of changing conditions :)
 
Why not have a japanese v german touring car event? Same weight and bhp, should make it interesting.
