Question.
What reasoning came to the decision on racing softs?

My personal view is that they numb out all cars minus LM1 and the tyre itself is perfectly capable of handling a track with 100% surface water just as good, if not better than wets...

Where's the gentleman pondering smiley face

Who is fusinuboy, I seen him here last night and had a friends request.

Phillip.

PS: Why is my Mazda RX-7 TC not classed as a touring car

I think to start off with softs is good until people find the racing line. And there are awd cars to think of with higher tyre wear so may choose hards.

Edit let me know if the track should be made wider.

Wider I need a 6 lane motorway :sly:

Using hards with turbonato at the moment grips well with just that little slip when you go past the limit. :ouch:

I really had a good time last night and thanks Phillip for opening up a room and all that joined. I really enjoyed the tyre wear as the race came back to me towards the closing laps, which was a thrill. Loved it. And the concentration levels is immense.

Sam I tried to find your track but you haven't shared it. Go into your my GT home page scroll down to your track icon, select, push triangle on the track you wish to share and then share with friends.

Edit: I wonder if Cobani has any pictures from last night :)
We can change the wheels as well :0

DTM - Demanding Tyre Management

As most of you already know, tyre wear has increased somewhat since the new update and although racing tyres will be available for your German Touring Car, the heavy braking points in Jon's new track is sure to challenge your tyre management and concentration.

For a 5 lap race, the best option is Soft, but 10 laps and more could mean the Medium and Hard would be the tyre of choice. We'll be running a range of race lengths to keep you on your toes as sheer pace alone will not be enough for victory in this event.

See you guys on track!

The wheel thing, it's not the end of the world as the cars look original.
