La Sarte B spec.
Are people using 2 bobs?
Tried twice with 2 lvl 40 bobs and best i can get is 7th.(Audi R8 Race car and Audi TDI.)
Think im missing something here. Both fully uptpo 700PP and tuned.
Will try the chapperel trick next, but not sure if ppl are using 2 bobs.

I only used 1 driver, he was a LVL 40 but one that had reached the end of his career and was on diminishing stats.

yea, it's pretty hard, I needed to do ~3000 points in a first sector (one smooth drift with almost touching barriers) because in second sector 800-1000 points is my max
 
Just finished royally trouncing the AI on the LaSarthe B-Spec challenge with a 710HP Audi R8. Pitted on lap 2, with a 787B and Pesky Courage Judd, slapped some racing intermediate tires on it, and barely shot past the lead R8 Playstation Oreca race car. Destroyed the AI by a calm 2+ minutes over 2nd place. :dopey:👍

I have trouble with all drift trials :lol:
usually never get higher then Bronze.
Reached that in one go in Tokyo so it should be quite similar to the other ones :sly:

I started the 2J with RH, then switched to Intermediates after lap 2 and by lap 10, the rears were completely bald lol.

B-Spec Bob was driving like a grandma at the last lap. Good thing I didnt pit on lap 9 so the R8 was still far away by the time the race concluded.

Good stuff. About to start another race right now 👍

I managed it, though near the end of the race I had to ease down on the increase pace commands as the car was sliding around all over the place.
 
Passed La Sarthe as well with a 2J with a lead of 14 seconds. Sports Soft the entire race, got to 1st place on lap 4, dropped to 5th on lap 6 and back to first when they pitted on lap 9. No strength or mental left.

Default 2J and raised top speed to 250mph with final, lowered ride height to -10/-10
 
My (level 40) Bobs are idiots... watching them drive Spa in the rain is painful. I do love the money however :D
 
For the B-spec events, is it alot of xp too? my highest lvl driver is 20, i have 5 drivers all abov 15, anyway....
Any xp? because what I could do is run the spa one and get xp and some $ until lvl 30 then take the win...
Also, if no on xp, please help me I am lvl 23 b spec, just tell me a good event to run for easy xp until LvL 30

LoL all the A-specs combined is about 3M with 200%, but you get 4M for one race on B Spec with 200% and then 6M on the other, lol. But A spec is easier, You're driving so it doesnt matter what LvL you are ;)

the 2j race car 70 wins the sarth on one set of sports softs with zero pits by over 30 seconds. I know I couldn't believe it either. tires still were at 45 ish percent across the finish line.

tranny top speed 230 -the car will hit 220ish on straights.
ride height -10/-10
every thing else default.
653pp 764 hp

took the lead on the second or third lap when they all pit. then i hit pace up several times to keep him off full calm. just into the red was what i was aiming for . he never crashed or spun out. holding a 5 second lead until they all pit again on the 9th lap then it was over.
I didn't even have to cancel any pit stops.

update;

after race changed the oil and got 653pp but now with 809hp.
repeated and between their pits my guy fell to 5th and only finished second.
repeated setup again and this time won huge. 22 second lead when they pited on lap 9
sports soft from the start keep him in the lead or less than 15 seconds down between their pitstops laps 4-9.

updated the above. works for me. going to see if the speed 8 can win on one set of sports softs. but first i need to go spend some millions to make room as all this trying for gold just gave me 20!

Grind the heck out of that Grand Valley seasonal (and of course, win if you have 200% login bonus going)! Here's my report...


Online A-Spec Challenge:
* 400PP - tuned 2007 Mazda 6/Atenza
* 500PP - tuned 2002 Honda NSX-R
* 600PP - Pagani Zonda LM Race Car

Even I've given up on trying to win races with the Pagani Zonda R. So I went with the Zonda LM Race Car. Good thing I got this car because it is more stable. You may remember I did a B-Spec online race with this car leading my Zonda R. It was basically "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." But when there's another Zonda LM Race Car, I was trailing by at least 10 seconds to it and basically quit the race.


* Time Trial:
- used 2007 Mazda 6/Atenza - 49.399 (good for: 17,715th Place at the time)
- used 2003 Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car; from 3:41.263 on Lap 1 to 3:35.263 on Lap 2 (3967th place at the time)

I am NOT good at any of the off-road courses in GT5. I as even pleased to improve my time substantially in my run around GT5's Chamonix. Top time around Chamonix was somewhere at around 3:02. Remember you need a car that has 345 hp or less. My Lancer Rally Car was the same car I used to clear the Intermediate GT Rally Special Events.


I don't think I'm going to even attempt the B-Spec Expert races. I may attempt the Drift Trials.
 
I'm having a hard time with the 650PP a-spec challenge. Any tips on cheap/tunable cars?
I have about 2 million in cash.. I tried many different cars with close to 640PP and the car in first place (usually the Ford GT) is always like 30 secs in front of me.

I got closest with a race-modified 700BHP Challenger'70 .. I'm running out of ideas.
 
In LeMans 700PP B-Spec, the AI pits ending laps 3 and 9. Swapping for Intermediates and Hards, respectively. The 2J (driven by drivers below level 30) gets first place starting lap 4 and loses some places around laps 7-9. When they pit, it's first place again. Running Sport Softs, it's better to go full-red pace for the first 5-6 laps and then moderate it the rest of the race.

@lodas, try using a fully tuned R35 GT-R.
 
Just finished first on La Sarthe with Bob1 level 31 and Bob2 level 25.

Here's how I did.

Car:
-Toyota GT-One

Modifications:
-Medium Turbo
-Engine tuned down to 700pp
-Gearbox set to 390kpm (240mph)

I started the race with my level 25 Bob, racing hard tyre.

1st pit @ lap 2, I was 8th (Level 25 did better than I expected)
I change driver for level 31 Bob + intermediate tyres

They all pit @ the end of lap 3, so at lap 4 i'm first. Thought, I have to battle a bit with a BMW V12 LMR which went in the pit at the same time I went, but once he's no more able to catch your wind, you're alright.

@ lap 9, I'm 25,029 seconds ahead of the 2nd, an Audi R8 Race Car '01

End of lap 9, my tyres are burned, so I go to the pits (they all go), I think, I'm 25s ahead, i'm alright, so I put level 25 Bob back behind the wheels + racing hard tyres! (Don't do it, he'll give you an heart attack) ... He was messy as hell, crashed two times in the sand, so I won the race by only 3 seconds.

Don't trust your lower level bob. 👍

Depends on how much lower level the Bob is though, a level 25 and above is able to win. Will try a level 15 soon, but I don't expect to be pleased.

Spa gives you 700000xp (with 200%), I don't know nothing about La Sarthe yet...

Finished it in 40:13:07 and took Bob to the hospital; he is in recovery and giving me the stink eye.

For Spa I used:

Lvl 38 Bob
Raybrig NSX, brand new for 950k
Oil Change
Mid RPM Turbo
Brakes 5/3
Intermediate Tires

... I was first by the end of the 3rd lap, and right now I have a 11.872 secs lead after the 4th lap... no babysitting at all, I keep my bob in the red.

EDIT: 18.083 secs after the 5th lap. (pace meter right in the middle)
EDIT 2: 21.753 secs after the 6th lap. (very cold paced, i was at the bathroom :P)
EDIT 3: 28.430 secs after the 7th lap. (cold paced again, had to cancel Pit Stop, tire 50% wore off approx.)
EDIT 4: 47.374 secs after the 9th lap. (cold since lap 6. tires are mostly gone thats why he's cold hehe!)

At the end of the 5th lap: +10.804... rear tires at about 75%, 90% for the front ones.
At the end of the 6th lap: +6.154... kind of forgot to watch the pace, Bob was cold as hell (!) rear tires at about 55-60%, front 85+%
At the end of the 7th lap: +15.656... hot paced, tires about the same as those at the end of the last lap. but they do burn down! hah!
At the end of the 8th lap: +18.548... kept my pace at ~55-60%... rear tires almost worn off, maybe 25% left... will try to end the race with these ones...
At the end of the 9th lap: +21.642... accidently skipped pit... i finally ended the race poorly, my Bob had no more strenght, was driving pretty badly. So I should have pitted!

Do what I did, but PIT at the end of the 8th lap, and you'll be totally fine! I pushed my luck too far :)

you tuned down engine to get to 700PP right?

*EDIT* And I wanted to ask.. your second bob level was..??

*EDIT2* it diffinetly didnt work for me,, even after they pit in the end of 3rd lap, I was still 8th!

Done all new seasonals ! All was easy beside bspec 700pp ;/ I've tried to pass this 4 or 5 times and finally passed with 821HP 2J , no pitstops , 1st on 4 lap then lost on 8 at 4th then they are stop on pit at 9 lap and I won , time : someting about 40.5minutes :):)
