2.08 (22/01/2012) Added DLC 3 cars & paints gifted by new cars. Fixed Kart SPL and Renault chips ownership (are 40, actually). Get rid of the two Pyrenees Black Mitsubishi FTO. Confirmed some more cars in UCD. Implemented a large number of fixes suggested by MadMax86, and listed in detail in this post

Just a quick question on car colours - If you have the same colour twice, but from a different manufacturer, does this show up as two seperate colours in my inventory? i.e 1 Super Red IV and 1 Super Red IV instead of 2x the same colour?

YES, if you translate COLOUR with ICON, and unless you filter by manifacturer :sly:

When you enter paint chip browser there is no filter, as it doesn't remember what you did in last session. You will see the same paint name multiple times, due to:
- chips from different manifacturers: may have the same chip colour or not - these obviously aren't if you filter the browsing for manifacturers
- chips from the same manifacturer with different icon colours (sometimes, a very very little difference  )
- chips from the same manifacturer with the same icon colour - the stupid browser splits unique chips in multiple lines: for online bonus, for chips coming from other accounts, for chips you had before 2.0 update, sometimes for different cars but with no difference at all in paint colour.

That's why, also, the chip count you have from browser isn't correct at all. It's not the unique chip count (up to 2577, according to last database), nor the total chip count (the one that counts against the 7000 object limit).

Toyota ARISTO V300 Vertex Edition '00 in Silver Metallic does not gift a paint chip. I bought one from the UCD yesterday.

This has to be one of the most awesome things I've ever seen made from Gran Turismo data... Respect!

Do you know if there exists something like this but for helmets and suits in the seasonals? Or is that totally random? Sorry, do you know anything about it? I'm trying to win the Simpson helmets but it's very difficult... I've only collected one so far :(

Thank you

Best method to catalogue gears, tickets, mc and horns is still mygranturismo.net. I think more than 30000 people here have an account in that website. It also catalogue cars, but you have to use text notes to manually add colours or km.

Can anyone confirm that these Nissan's are in game both in these colors ?

Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M-spec (R34) '01 Black Pearl
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M-spec (R34) '01 Black Pearl (M)

Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M.spec Nur (R34) '01 Black Pearl
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M.spec Nur (R34) '01 Black Pearl (M)

I have both in color Black Pearl (M) and never seen these models in color Black Pearl...

After the FTO I think you found another two black doubles. I too have both cars in the metallic version. The pearl M-spec I is unconfirmed by UCD lists too, and can't find the 'confirmed' Nur in any list. Both will be canceled in next update, mate 👍

(another strike for the greek way of GT :D )

According genuino the problem is this...A PS3 which is set in Japanese language shows the color without the (M).

:)👍

Hey, anyone noticed the following after the 2.04 patch?:

As you know, we received after the 2.03 patch for buying the (P) Jaguar
XJR-9 LM Race Car ’88
an NoName purple paint chip.

Now, after the 2.04 patch, the chip got a name: "XJR-9 Purple".

Another surprise, you won't get anymore an paint chip for buying the car. So, it's now the rarest paint chip in the game!!!

Anyone should contact Milouse.

This is what you see after receiving the car:

I just opened one original DLC ticket. No paint message. No paint chip anymore....

What a pity!!! Only one in collection, two lost.

@MadMax. Do you still have that message after BUYING a Jaguar?

EDIT: checked my main account and the chip is there named 'XJR-9 Purple' as reported by ZeGerman. Another edit for our cat, but this is going to be unique. A DLC chip you can't buy anymore :banghead:

I got the message in picture above when I bought the Jaguar from NCD pre 2.04 .

Maybe it was a glitch that PD fixed in the latest patch..

Regarding these Black Pearl ''without the (M)'' Skylines: If a Japanese PS3 sends me one, will it show in my garage without the ''(M)'' on the paint chip?

I'm collecting all ''black'' cars and I would like to know if I can get these through a trade.

Thanks guys! :)

From my UCD tracking for ML1 (still with memo)

Nissan - SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II (R34) '00 56503 41241 458 Black Pearl
Nissan - SKYLINE GT-R (R34) '00 6981 48718 470 Black Pearl

When purchasing the Amuse S2000 (Platinum White Pearl), the paint chip will end up in the Honda folder, not in the Amuse folder. :ouch:

Looks like another bug. Can anyone confirm this please?

@Duck: is it save to insert a additional row or will it completely mess up the formulas of the document?

It's a well known thing. It was tracked by SlipZtrem in his original thread. He said standard Amuse chips go to a manifacturer (don't remember if Honda or Amuse.. Honda I guess following your experience), and premium Amuse chips to the other manifacturer (Amuse....). I fear this simple rule can have exceptions. I'm not able to confirm he is right, anyway, because these cars are very rare and I own only a few. Doing some trading between my own account will give the answers... one day or another. Still too busy with trades to acquire cars I need for the cat.

You can add or remove rows without efforts, in car variations tab. If you add, just copy sum formulas (column N) from above cells. If you remove collectable cars, you have to adjust 'ownership breakdown' tab too.

Adding and removing paints is a bit longer, after copying formulas for SUM cells too. When I update have to do the same for third tab too. Last step is manually updating the 'ownership breakdown' manifacturer row (hidden cells too)

EDIT: I forgot to say the most important thing. Cell reference are dynamically updated when you add or remove rows, like in Excel.

I have recently started actually using this sheet to track my car/color combinations. I am kind of dreading the next update because it will throw everything off depending on where the color combos get added. Have you considered giving each color combo a tracking number so that when you update we can sort by that number to copy over our current info more easily? Hope that makes sense. Just like Garbuckle does with the Matrix car list. Each car gets a unique number as it's added in.

Well...after erasing the 2 double's Nissan (post #161 - #162) there are left 13 Nissan with Black Pearl or Black Pearl (M)...

In Duck's sheet, these 11 Nissan are with the right paint chip name. I have them all and can confirm 100%.

Nissan SKYLINE GT-R (R32) '89 Black Pearl (M)
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R (R32) '91 Black Pearl (M)
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M-spec (R34) '01 Black Pearl (M)
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M-spec Nur (R34) '02 Black Pearl (M)
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec (R32) '93 Black Pearl (M)
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec (R34) '99 Black Pearl (M)
Nissan SKYLINE GTS-t Type M (R32) '91 Black Pearl (M)

Nissan SKYLINE GT-R (R34) '00 Black Pearl
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R (R34) '99 Black Pearl
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec II (R34) '00 Black Pearl
Nissan SKYLINE GTS-t Type M (R32) '89 Black Pearl

____________________________________________________________

These 2 Nissan below....don't have them and can't confirm if they have the right paint chip name.

Nissan SKYLINE GTS25 Type S (R32) '91 Black Pearl (M)

Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V-spec (R34) '99 Black Pearl (this...I really think it's double...)

I asked some weeks ago if a migration standard would be useful. Your one is the first reply 👍
Now to your proposal: I checked last Garbuckle car list, found the car ID and they match original GT5 release list. It has no DLC updates or spec 2.0. So I can't confirm he is using this method. About implementing it in the cat: it's doable for cars and paints too, and will make easier tracking addings and removals in change log. I can apply a new column for both tabs for current release, so you can easily copy it in your sheet copy. Next update will make use of it. If I didn't understand it as you guessed, reply here :)

This recap matches previous posts. I didn't find other doubles too, and I already removed the V-spec 99 pearl in my 2.09 wip cat.

Catalogue version updated to 2.09.

As I wrote in OP. I did no changes in content. Only added an ID column as suggested by ajns73. Most likely I'll release 2.10 to implement all wip changes this weekend.

So, if you have a working unmodded 2.08 catalogue (I mean you didn't add or remove rows) just add the ID column in both car and paint lists as you find it in the 2.09. Quite simple, just a copy and paste thing of numbers from 1 to 5808 (2577 for paints).

2.10 changelog will have informations about the IDs of cars/paints added and removed, so will be easier upgrading your already filled in sheets.

EDIT: if you have any idea for make it working better, this is the right time ;)

Garbuckle uses a column all the way to the right call "MGT#" to track new cars. If you sort by that column, they will be in the order they came out including DLC.

I just had a look at 2.09, and it looks good. Exactly what I was asking for. Thank you.

Wait!!!
I think we are saying two different things
1) You. A progressive numbering to sort the list if you have the need to sort it differently for temporary considerations or editing. This it good for sorting but bad for updates.
2) Me. New cars take following numbers. For example, the new Acura NSX Concept will take 5809. With this you can't sort the list.

What do you think. Is better a sorting tool or an update helper? Or both, using two ids?
