Which version of the catalogue are you using?

Wait!!!
I think we are saying two different things
1) You. A progressive numbering to sort the list if you have the need to sort it differently for temporary considerations or editing. This it good for sorting but bad for updates.
2) Me. New cars take following numbers. For example, the new Acura NSX Concept will take 5809. With this you can't sort the list.

What do you think. Is better a sorting tool or an update helper? Or both, using two ids?

Here's what I want: I want to be able to copy and paste all of my data from 2.08 to 2.09, 2.10, 2.11, etc. If each combination has a unique number, then I can always sort by that number to get it to match up row for row. Then I can resort it it by whatever I want.

When purchasing the Amuse S2000 (Platinum White Pearl), the paint chip will end up in the Honda folder, not in the Amuse folder. :ouch:

Looks like another bug. Can anyone confirm this please?

@Duck: is it save to insert a additional row or will it completely mess up the formulas of the document?

It's because all the amuse color chips are actually Honda s2000 factory colors. An amuse s2000 is still a Honda s2000 it just has a widebody kit and FI right out the gate.

According Duck's sheet...

Toyota CARINA ED 2.0 X 4WS '89 Dark Blue Mica (confirmed as OK)

Toyota CARINA ED 2.0 X 4WS '89 Dark Blue Mica Metallic ???

Can anyone confirm that car with that paint chip Dark Blue Mica Metallic ?

It's still in the 'list of cars I need proof of' you already know.

Still unseen in UCD , after 3900 days :indiff:
Most probably another phantom car.

About that updated list, it's as follows. Cars confirmed by 2 trusted members, even without visual proof, have been deleted from the list:

EDIT:
Checked friend lists: fillmore85, segovia, ch1potle, mikeeesf, Sharky969, christara321, Outeke, MadMax86, Costasdrifter. Thanks to all them for sharing their data or reporting confirmations.

I'm contacting another big collector, slower than bob, to see if we can delete some more rows from the list.
As I trust 99.999999% all people listed above, it looks a bit strange that the following 10 cars are still MIA from our garages:

EDIT: I checked all my farming accounts (garages and UCD's) on 3 PS3's and no luck on the other cars. I will keep an eye out, though! :)

One other suggestion: (because I had to rewrite part of the sheet to save myself from a stupid mistake) Lock the formula cells. I know it is anti-open source, but especially for people that are new to or not very well versed in using a spreadsheet, it could save them a huge headache. To keep transparency, you could provide the password for those that want to monkey around.

I'll try it. Already missed the promised update: one or two more test will not make so much difference :)

Catalogue version updated to 2.09.

{snip}

EDIT: if you have any idea for make it working better, this is the right time ;)
I'd really like to see a column for tradeable/untradeable. I use your car catalogue for tracking my 0/0/0 cars & paint variations. It would be nice to be able to filter out the untradeable cars when copying out list of available tradeable 0/0/0s. I've added a column to your spreadsheet and populated it to the best of my knowledge. I'd be happy to attach the modified file and you can cut & paste this column if you (or anyone else) also think this is useful.

Thanks for your hard work!

I agree. Slowly but surely, this list is replacing the Matrix for me. I am not asking that you add in everything that's there, but tadlock's suggestion and possibly a standard/premium column as well would be helpful. The closer you get to completion of this list (if that is even possible) the more people are going to want it to replace the Matrix list. Just a heads up if you are at all interested in taking it that far. If you are, "groups" are your friend. ;) I've already added to your sheet for tracking 0/0/0s and conditional formatting to help with tracking which cars I have. That's why I wanted an inventory # for each combination/paint chip, so that I don't have to keep re-writing every update.

By this MIA car:
Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '02 Sparkling Silver (M)

Do you mean:
Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '02 Spark Silver Metallic?

If so, I have it in 0/24237.5miles/0 and put it up on share.

Edit: I don't have anymore MIA cars.

Edit 2:
Here is a crappy picture:

Thank you tadlock! Your request is reasonable, and ajns reply did the job. This feature will be added. If you can share it will be very appreciated.

I have a my own matrix which developed 5-6 years ago. It's a very complex sheet and integrating that in the car cat it's impossible. Google sheet have limits, and the cat is already very close to them. About the S/P, I think will do a single column for both features (ST/PT/SN/PN).

Thank you for sharing that! But in the cat there are both silver Z. The one you found was already confirmed in the cat (no ? in the UCD column!!), the other most likely is an error.
I just acquired this - Honda S2000 '03 (Sebring Silver Metallic).

Enough to update the list, thank you.
To complete the job, If anyone of the following people is able to share a photo , I can delete it from the following

99.9% (periodic ;) ) confirmed

Toyota CARINA ED 2.0 X 4WS '89 Dark Blue Mica Metallic
Toyota SPRINTER TRUENO BZ-R '98 Red Mica Metallic

EDIT: in a perfect PD style I decided to delay next 'real' update. That will have all additions/removal listed in OP WIP section and also (finally) a complete revision of chips in 'check' status since initial release. Already found 2 new chips, and checked all up to Caterham.
ASAP I'll update the actual version with indexing and premium/tradable stats.

Thank you for that. And yes, you would have to move away from .ods and embrace the Dark Side (Excel) if you want to combine them both. The way you have it now, it is just fine for me. And thank you for continuing to support this document.

I've had to start GT5 again due to data corrupption so I'll keep a look out for the remaining cars for you

Not good quality but I think it's OK for proof :)
Your contribution to the cat is very important since release, thank you.
But why did you hide the text part? I'm able to read greek
Seriously, switches are unreadable. They are ok as second check, but not enough as a stand alone proof. My fault: I asked for photos showing switches in original post, but forgot to quote it in later ones ;)
Anyway, thanks to your contribution I deleted some from the lists.

I've had to start GT5 again due to data corrupption so I'll keep a look out for the remaining cars for you
It's sad, but it's more than a year that gtp members report the necessity of backing up the save data. I do it about once a week or 10 days, and I know it isn't enough.
If you are in master list #2, please note you will never find any of the unconfirmed cars in the lists.

These cars are 99.9% (periodic ;) ) confirmed, as friends I trust reported them. If anyone have also in their garage, depending on how much I can trust the source, I'll confirm the car with 100% in the current catalogue.

Audi A2 1.4 '02 Piedmont Red Pearl Effect sharky969
Honda NSX Type S Zero '97 Indy Yellow Pearl Costasdrifter

Toyota CARINA ED 2.0 X 4WS '89 Dark Blue Mica Metallic

To all, sharing a photo showing switches, car and chip paint is the best proof you can provide.

Not a good idea as it could be resprayed. I did usually but the USB I put it on has gone missing and I cant find it anywhere

I suppose it's OK now...Shooted new photos. Never thought that somebody will repaint a car, take photo and upload here in your thread or give wrong informations...For what reason ?...
I want to help, that's why Iam here my friend. The point is that we have to trust each other...

Question...Have you ever seen a 0/0/0 standard repainted car ?

On offence. I think I was polite enough saying that I trust my friend infos at 99.999999999999999%

I traded with my friends a lot of cars, but sometimes they sent in a wrong colour, or a wrong model (ie Cooper S instead of plain Cooper). Also Slipztrem 100% 'trustable' sources made errors, so why repeat THAT error again?

The fact people make errors is the only reason I ask for a photo proof or a double check from another mate ;)

Also, if you read better, I only needed confirmation for two cars you have:
Honda NSX Type S Zero '97 Indy Yellow Pearl
Nissan SKYLINE GT-R (R33) '96 Super Clear Red II

About your question: 0/0 repainted? No :dunce: I know about the rims glitch only. Am I in error?

Yeah, you are right about mistakes. Iam very careful when I post anything here that's why I sound a little...:grumpy:

I took pictures from all cars I have in the wanted list. Maybe the other guys have not the time to do this :sly:

👍

I'm editing the standard/premium/tradable column. I'm using these values:

S-tradable
S-untradable
P-tradable
P-untradable

Do you think it can be done better?

Please note that:
1) Main supported format is google, online, as lists are intended to be shared.
2) Filtering two values with google is easy. Just press the filter button and check the values you want
3) In Libreoffice it isn't that immediate. You have to use standard filter

EDIT: I also will not add a sorting cars column. I will not add new cars with a progressive car ID, but will use a format like:

1636
1636-a1
1637

Where the 1636-a1 is a new car between 1636 and 1637.

As we have 6 unconfirmed cars, there will be 6 potential holes in numeration.

I think that having a unique car ID is better than having two, one of these is variable.
1) Should avoid confusion
2) Will save google server time and will not push the sheet towards google format limits.

I have a fully tuned BMW resprayed with one of the DLC paints and its 0/0/0 so there is a glitch to it

Catalogue version updated to 2.10.

Again, I did no changes in content. Only added a column to allow you to filter standard/premium/tradable/untradable cars, as suggested by tadlock.

So, if you have a working unmodded 2.08 or 2.09 catalogue (I mean you didn't add or remove rows) just add the ID and/or TRADABLE? columns in car list (also paint lists have a ID since 2.09). As last update, you should keep your personal sheet intact: just a copy and paste thing of that new column(s).

2.11 changelog will have informations about the IDs of cars/paints added and removed, so will be easier upgrading your already filled-in sheets.
2.11 will feature all discussed removals and some paint addings. The Paints UCD/NCD/DLC section and the Paint sources columns will be reworked with a new concept, concerning my needings to have a sort of paint rarity value related to the UCD car rarity.

Again, if you have further ideas for make it working better, just post here.
