Which version of the catalogue are you using?

All cars and all paints I assume.

EDIT: I FOUND MY GAME DATA!!!!! No need to restart!!!

Another naughty car:

Opel Tigra 1.6i '99 in Zypressengrun does not gift a paint chip.

(Shall I add it to the list of cars to send you?)

EDIT: just found another one:

Audi RS 6 Avant '02 in Ebony Black Pearl Effect

(same question).

Combine what :dunce: ?

If you were to try to combine the information you have in the catalog with the kind of information that Garbuckle has in his matrix. It could be done, but the sheet would be large and cumbersome to use. Many groups necessary to allow the sheet to be usable, which might do just the opposite.

The Opel was a well known car. I looked for that Zypressengrun chip for months before understanding it didn't exist. You should check the 'collectable' column ;)
The Audi, if you are away of the 7000 objects limit, is a new entry. I've one coming in UCD, and will be added to the collectables for 2.11 :D

OK, understood. My car matrix reaches column BK.... it should be more than 60 columns wide
I think that it should be done on a real database, with that kind of complexity :ill:

Not the best picture I'm afraid but you should still be able to see what's needed.
Here she is, the Honda NSX '95 in Grand Prix White.

Hmm... I did check the latest online version (2.10) of the catalogue for the Opel, and there is nothing in the collectable column for that car.

When the same thing happened with the Audi, I suspected I might have that 7000 limit problem, but I did get a paint chip for another car just after.

You're right. Another issue to be fixed, thanks.

I added the white NSX to the wip version of the cat.

I wrote a google doc migration process; will start the ods soon.

Also added a poll in OP. Please, vote!

I tried to take pictures of the Honda PRELUDE Type S '96 Bordeaux Red Pearl and Peugeot 206 S16 '99 Bleu de Chine.
But failed at it and got only blurry pictures.

(backup) Plan B , I've shared the cars on my accs. GTP_MadMax86 and GT-LM

OK, fine.

+100000 for your D.Holland bob driver 👍

Does that glitch work with normal paints too? Or with all cars?

Yea, it works with all cars/paints.

You can now be only sure that it's a original car/color combination if the car comes from fresh from a ticket.

Highly possible that you have already some "faked" cars in your garage.

I think best way of doing this is one make races that way you can see the car in other colours

I'm lucky I can trust many people here for not doing that :D
I knew that the rims glitch didn't work for all cars :?
About faked cars due to not-honest trades.... we all share that trouble, but I guess that even paint glitched cars suffer from the sending car paint chip mismatch. Do you know?
I think best way of doing this is one make races that way you can see the car in other colours
This is doable as an existence proof, as we are only looking for 6 cars, but can't confirm chip name 👍

Catalogue version updated to 2.11.

2.11 (02/03/2012) Main update is migration support, adding a ID for cars and paints. Also added a standard/premium/tradable/untradable column.
Finally started testing 'check' labeled chips, with the same chip icon colour.
Added new paint variations: British Racing Green Metallic(Mini, P1616a), Ultra Red Pearl(Mitsubishi, P1711a), Reflexsilber Metallic(Volkswagen, P2545a), Tornadorot(Volkswagen, P2516a), Red Mica(Toyota, P2358a), Kaiser Silver Metallic(Honda, P1027a), Galaxy White Pearl(Mitsubishi, P1688a), Rosso Alfa(Alfa Romeo, P0062a), Rosso Proteo Metallizzato(Alfa Romeo, P0107a), Millennium Yellow(Chevrolet, P0374a), Cortez Silver Metallic(Chevrolet, P0412a), White(Daihatsu, P0521a), Bright Silver Metallic(Dodge, P0582a), Moro Blue Pearl Effect(Audi, P0224a).
Removed Lamborghini's Giallo Eviros (P1183): apparently has been corrected as Giallo Evros with last update, or maybe it was wrongly spelled in the catalogue.
Car removal: C4267 Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M-spec (R34) '01 Black Pearl, C4275 Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M.spec Nur (R34) '01 Black Pearl, C4316 Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V•spec (R34) '99 Black Pearl (first two found by CostasDrifter!).
New car added, pulled by ch1potle from a ticket: Honda NSX '95 in Grand Prix White (C1845a)
New collectable cars: Toyota ARISTO V300 Vertex Edition '00 in Silver Metallic, Audi RS 6 Avant '02 in Ebony Black Pearl Effect are scrooge cars that don't gift their chips (thanks to segovia). Also added the Opel Tigra 1.6i '99 in Zypressengrun which was well known but forgot to add to the ownership list (thanks to segovia too for bug retrieval)

As requested, I wrote a migration procedure for both google doc and ods sheets. Minimum supported catalogue to be able to migrate is 2.08. Migration will waste less than 5 minutes. New users don't need migration sheets. Old users that want to migrate their old version to the last one should open their catalogue, migration sheet and a copy of 2.11 barely new release.

ODS migration sheet: see attachments

Google doc migration process
1) Copy your first car variations account cells (from K4 to K5811)
2) Paste into cell K4 of this sheet (data will pasted from cell K4 to K5811).
3) Repeat steps 2 and 3 for your other accounts (L4-L5811, M4-M5811).
4) Copy your chips database account cells (from D3 to F2579). You will be able to do it in one time even using google docs.
5) Paste into cell D3 of this sheet (data will be pasted from cell D3 to F2579)
6) In car variations tab, click on a column Q cell of your choice, in Data menu select 'sort sheet by column Q, A to Z'
7) In chips database tab, click on a column N cell of your choice, in Data menu select 'sort sheet by column N, A to Z'
8) Now delete the cars with the following ID from the 'Car variations' tab. Right click with mouse on the row number and use 'Delete row'. Please note that ID is different than row number.
C4267: Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M-spec (R34) '01 Black Pearl
C4275: Nissan SKYLINE GT-R M.spec Nur (R34) '01 Black Pearl
C4316: Nissan SKYLINE GT-R V•spec (R34) '99 Black Pearl
9) Do the same for this paint in 'Chips database'
P1183: Giallo Eviros

Go to the bottom rows of each tab and fill up needed account data for new cars and chips.

You now have a fully sorted database for cars and paints. In order to complete migration, you should open the 2.11 version of the catalogue and copy your data from this sheet.
1) Make a backup of your catalogue (not mandatory but strongly suggested).
2) Copy from here your first car variations account cells (from K4 to K5809)
3) Paste into cell K4 of your new 2.11 sheet (data will pasted from cell K4 to K5809).
4) Repeat steps 2 and 3 for your other accounts (L4-L5809, M4-M5809).

That was exactly my point when I said..."we have to trust each other"...in #204 post.

I don't know how this glitch works, but I knew that it can be done.

When I asked you about, I was 100% sure that someone who knows, will talk about this "scary" glitch :scared:

That's why I don' trade 0/0/0 cars with everyone but only with people I trust...:sly:

Again the same question, now to you. With glitched cars, do you have a chip paint mismatch receiving the car?

I can't answer to your question. I don't know how this glitch works :scared:
Maybe somebody else who knows will give us more informations...

I have received a handful of glitched cars in my time trading. For those cars, there was a mismatch between paint on car and paint chip received.

Edit:
I've unintentionally created a couple of glitched 0/0/0 cars when painting cars with DLC paints for people. I've had a few end up 0/0/0 after I bought from NCD or OCD, change to car at purchase, change oil, paint car/wheels, add tuning parts, and even add aero parts. Key seems to be changing to car at purchase....

I hope this helps for your research.

So it seems this is the best safeguard to all those who receive fake 0/0 cars from "smart" guys and I think we have to report any guy who will try to send a repainted "0/0" car !

I agree 👍
So my poor 0/0 garage is still safe :nervous:

I'm going to make one more plea that you number new colors and cars at the end of the first numbering system so they can be sorted to the end. Otherwise, copy and paste will not work as they stay intermixed and throw everything off by whatever number of new items your adding. For example, the new colors you added in 2.11 would be numbered 2577-2589. That way they can be sorted out the end (or beginning) for wholesale copy and paste of data from the old sheet (or new to old in my case). The colors can then be resorted as they were and the new colors will be shuffled in where they belong.

Imho you missed the update process. If you want to update you have to pass through the migration sheet, where new paints and cars are in last positions, then sort it and paste to 2.11. Just follow instructions step by step, mate. If I missed something in instructions or uploaded the wrong sheets, I apologyze for that, it will be fixed.

EDIT: your pm box is full, mate.

My bad, Duck. I did not see that post. I will give it a try and see if it works out. If it does, then I need no further changes.

Perfect, Duck. Exactly what I needed.👍

The Jaguar XFR '10 is Indigo and not Indigo Metallic according the Catalogue.
The chip is Metallic and gifted.

I don't think it's a new paintchip because I pulled this car/color twice from tickets (07/08/2011 and 04/03/2012).

But we have to confirm this...

It should help updating process for me too. I'm still waiting for a confirmation it's fine and 100% effective ;)

I have that car. Will take a look in half hour.

EDIT: my bad. My one is Indigo too.

Although I'm still new, I feel I can be trusted. It's just that my garage of 0/0/0 cars is still small. But I'd be happy to help anyone. Just me a message! Cheers!
