Well you can't guarantee that people will be able to connect to the second room, but then you can't guarantee that people will be able to connect to their race room in any situation.

TBH, I don't think the odds change even a little bit. The D1 and D2 rooms would be exactly the same essentially, just a few people would be joining them later.

Room 1: 12 drivers enter, quali starts..
Room 2: 12 drivers enter, quali starts..

TOT: 24 room entries..

4 drivers from room 1 and 4 drivers from room 2 need to switch rooms..
8 more room entries.. Making the a TOT: 32 room entries..

Room entry rate (if you can say so) increase with 33%..

So, anyone started practising yet? I did around 33 flat yesterday, surely someone will go much lower than that.

Running a few laps in my lounge and just hit a 32.5 in my 'Vette. Not sure if it has any more to give, though.

Agreed, but not being able to enter a room signifies a greater problem with someone's connection.
From what I've seen, if someone has a hard time entering or staying in a room, they're much more likely to DC even if they do get off the start as well.

I agree with you.

It's just that (as I stated earlier) I want to reduce any room for the game to screw us up. A 33% increase in room entries are something that should be avoided imo.
Even tho in most cases, a driver that can't connect to one room, most likely will have trouble in the next room as well. So it does'nt help these individuals.. But I've seen too many times when people who do not have connection issues have troubles joining rooms as well. Those are the ones that can be helped thru a lower number of room entries.

Perhaps I'm taking it too far, but I do not give one single millimeter to the game to screw me.. That's my standpoint.

My best lap in the Maserati is a 32.8xx, maybe a tenth better is all I could hope for. Feels a heavy car to get around GP/D ;)

I haven't tested yet after my first test. Need to find a good setup I'm happy with because everything I have tried so far is crazy understeer. Plus I need to B-Spec and break the car in. :scared:

Race Information: Pre-Season - Nurburgring GP/D

Laps will be set to 27.

Division 1 Host: GTP_Aderrrm
Division 2 Host: GTP_Litchi
(GMT)
16:00 - Qualifying deadline
16:30 - Room opens (add my PSN)
16:55 - PP checks, track reset
17:00 - line up in order on track, race start (with formation lap)

  • You should not go off track or drive "dirty". Red+white rumble strips are track, green concrete/astroturf is not. If you continuously drive on dirty parts of the track during the race and you gain time from doing so, you will receive an appropriate penalty.
  • These are the obvious dirty parts of the track. You should not run wide here. Given in chronological order of the lap (click for big):

Formation lap: Maintain a pace of EXACTLY 62 mph/100 kmh. Do not weave in order to try and warm up your tyres. This will only increase the risk of damage.

Pits: The Pits will open on lap number 11 (as in the top left corner of your screen) and close on lap 17 (as in the top left corner of your screen). Therefore you may pit on laps 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16. Failing to do so will result in a 5 second penalty.

That's all. Have fun everyone and keep it clean. 👍

Does anyone have the rosso scuderia paint chip?
Also I might be able to make qualifying tomorrow, from 8pm GMT+8.

Add me on PSN and I'll send you one. I won't be around at that time to watch your quali, but someone else might. Just post in the thread.

I also won't be changing the specs from the results of the additional testing until after the GP/D race. Hopefully it encourages a few more people to qualify. :P

Corvette in the yellow you get from the dealership with black rims? We could be called OTL Racing (the same name I made up for FMSC, I'm usesless with names aswell :P)?
.

Right got the car now. all ready to go ;)

The wheels i got are RAYS VR.G2 (as they are black)

Alright, :33.2's with a car that's not broken in. Not exactly blazing, but it feels good and that's all that matters to me.

ok guys. I think I'm in a good pace in all PURE series I'm doing, except this one. Only 35' here with my Camaro :( . Any help?

I think if it's tuning, stiffen up the front alot and remove all positive toe from alignment.
Oh and Biffy, could you send me your tune before race day? :)

Let's get some quali's in today. Doesn't matter if you haven't practiced, it's only pre-season. :D

In awhile if you can. I have to say I expect to qualify at the back though as today is my first time driving the car.

Goddit. My comments on the evora mirror Biffys, want it looser, or perhaps abit more front end. Other than that I like it.

Are you guys lieing? :D I hit flat 33's without any tune, and you guys are saying are hitting 33s and 35s with tune. Hmm, I smell mind games... BRING IT ON!!

I'll qualify at around 12PM EST. Got college in a few mins. Hope that's ok Aderrrm.

Will someone be able to watch my qualifying run tonight? Don't feel like getting up before 7am tomorrow morning to do it and I'll be at work for the next 9 hours.

I only did a 34 with 5 few laps of practice and a un-tuned, un-run-in car. Still learning.
Anderrrm might give you a run for your money though because he just set a MAD time.
