Some important notes for the Support races today. (note: the two formation laps and GT getting a head start will NOT apply to the Enduro on Sunday)
Everything clear 👍

Summary:
  1. All races will take place in GTP_3D3_A and mics will be disabled.

I presumed we were racing in the GTP_3D3Racing lobby. For me the problem is that I'm only "friends" with the GTP_3D3Racing and GTP_3D3_B accounts.

EDIT: I just recieved the OK from GTP_3D3_A 👍

PASM

You are now on list. Accepted your FR.

I confused myself with the time and I missed the first support race. Was practising in my own lounge. On top of that I can't connect to the lounge...

Great job to PASM for the overall win. 👍

I enjoyed this morning's race, and managed to pull off a 1 stop strategy with reasonable success.

Looking forward to tomorrow's main event. 👍

Here are the full results from the first support race. Congratz to PASM for the GT class and overall win.

I would say the gap between first LMP and first GT would have been smaller (under 5 seconds) had I not run low on fuel and had to stay on partial throttle for a lap, but not sure I would have caught PASM. The formation laps and everything seemed to go off pretty well all things considered.

Great racing guys. Really fun. 👍

Ive cancelled my reserve status for tonight wont be able to make it at all.

Im lucky to get 10 laps at the moment really struggling with front tyre wear might try your tune tomorrow if you dont mind.

Id of been closer to Pasm if not for my tyres going off quicker than I expected them to  (Was doing 2:22-2:23 on my last 3-4 laps so a 1 stop dont work ;)). But I guess 2nd in GT wasnt too bad ;).

That's why I've posted it. 👍

I will not be stretching to 11 or 12 lap stints tomorrow, but my tune can handle 10 laps without much issue. Of course, my driving style tends to be fairly easy on tires anyhow, but my front to rear wear sounds to be much more even than others'.

Did a 1-stop strategy aswell, happy with the results, congratulations for the winners in each class.

Nice job everyone.👍 First race was a lot of fun. I managed to run a clean race, no contact with other drivers and no major offs or mistakes. I thought everyone ran a good smart race from what I could tell. It was a lot of fun driving with the GT class cars, made it really interesting and helped to break up that monotony while driving alone. It makes me really excited for tomorrows main event, 2.4 hours is going to be a long haul.:scared: The second half of the race will really come down to who can stay focused and minimize mistakes.

Good luck to everyone in the second support race, I won't be able to make it. See everyone tomorrow.

Okay, maybe not. 👍

Depends on the size of the lounge. With 12 or less not a problem to have an observer, otherwise could have impact, not sure.. Speedy is streaming it on his live feed.

Dan, Room A is supposed to be full but I do believe room B has one or two spots open. I don't know what their rule on spectators is though.👍

Edit: there's the answer.

Okay, maybe not. 👍

Did you get an answer? I was also wondering about the same thing. Even though i can not participate in the race due to lack of practice I would love to spectate one (if possible). the formation laps seem very well organized and "life-like" that it will be interesting to watch.

A reply is not neccesary if there is no rom in the lobby, but I wouold love to know if I can spectate the upcoming support race. Thanks

EDIT: A little late on my submission, so a question on speedy's stream: will it just be his car or will it switch from racer to racer?

It'll be from his car hopefully you'll get to see me if I can pass him :sly:.

Watching the livestream, awesome stuff, makes me *brick it* slightly about tomorrow though. I hope I don't cause (m)any accidents :scared:

Edit: Sweet race. Well done Christophe :D

Great race guys, congrats to Bart and Speedy.👍

Strange thing happened just before the start though. When I tried to enter the track for the starting grid, It showed I was in violation of the HP limit. I was at 552 as required. After several attempts I finally got on track, but it immediately put me on track for some reason. This upset Tim a little, but it was by accident.:sly:

Anyway, all turned out well. Happy with 3rd in GT. Don't know what happened to Wes. He was ahead of me and then had some sort of issue I guess.

Looking forward to Sunday's race.:)

Here are the results and fast laps for support race #2:

Im a bit annoyed with the bad luck I had when 2 Lmps passed me either a lag punt or just got turned round by the 2nd one passing. (This was on the back straight going towards the bus stop) It lost me around 18 seconds to Speedy who I was only 2 seconds behind before this.

I was pretty much on full attack from then on trying my best to catch Speedy and got the gap down to around 4 seconds when I spun myself into the wall on lap 23 (Corner before the long back straight) and lost another 8 or so seconds then just continued flat out finishing "only" 12 seconds behind after my bad luck.

I wish I could have given you a better fight but this race just wasnt to be. I did however while on max attack put in a 2:13.2 so that made me smile :).

Moving on I have a good idea on pit strategy now having tried two different strategies, so im looking forward to tomorrow :).

Edit: Results says a 2:13.227 :D. Oh and also nice try last corner WRP but you failed :sly:.

Edit2: Also today has reminded me how much ive missed racing online and also both races were virtualy lag-less. So I may concider re joining some old series I was racing in.

Sorry for that passing(ish) manouvre. I braked way later than you did but I didn't have any room so I cut the curb and a bit of the grass. Sorry for not giving up my position but as it turned out it didn't matter much.
I made a mistake with my pitstop. Sorry for not reading the last bit of the OP completely Tim but it looked so complicated that I waited for a summary before the race. You gave a good summary but I guess I wasn't focused enough.

Good luck to all tomorrow. My goal is to have a (decent) wheel to drive with before the next special event (and GT academy).

Oh and also nice try last corner WRP but you failed :sly:.

Yes, it failed when I went wide and didn't hold it on the track. So I just took the 2nd half wide and slow and gave back the position.

My real fail was only pausing for 30 seconds instead of 60 and then going back to sit for the remaining 30 the very next lap. My mind was fried after all this planning/organizing and then the earlier race. After my "drive thru" penalty I lost all concentration and crashed at least once. Hydro waited for me at some point and it helped return some focus, but the battle was already lost for me.

Fun racing. I'm on a leave of absence after tomorrow.

Well deserved leave Tim.

Just want to say thanks in advance for all the time and work you and the other admins. put into this event. Well done.👍

Get ready folks:

That's from Support Race #1 this morning, where Bart & Tim kicked butt, Marc sadly had tire grip issues, and I had issues related to me being an idiot. :dunce: The other cars I looked at in the replay appeared to be having some great racing. 👍

And here's another pic that shows that someone has a crap pit crew. 👎 Get out of the way, you fools! (...the straight after Turn 1, in case it's not obvious...)

Lmao! ^^

Really looking forward to the race today. Hopefully will decide on a tune and sort out some sort of strategy before the lobby opens. :)

Edit: in the B lounge practicing.
