Compressor for the pneumatic suspension is slowly dieing
Can't open the rear hatch
False readings from guages galore
Body damage
A bit of rust along edges

1985 Ford F250 4X4 (used to be nice, rusted out now)

Can my dad's car join the club?

It's a 1990 Audi 80 B3 1.6 diesel

Pros
does up to 40 mpg (US)
it's got a brand new Pioneer stereo
ride's quite comfy
engine's in decent condition (it's probably done more than 400,000 kilometers)
power steering
spacious interior
a spoiler!
it's got a "turbo" written in the back...

Cons
...but they forgot to add "diesel"
it's red, but every single panel is in different tone of red, the whole thing was probably crashed several times
it's annoyingly loud (typical farmyard diesel sound)
it's not very fast
you have to be a horse of a man to open the boot lid

Hear you go 95 Chev Lumina 240,000 hard miles not really a daily driver anymore thought
glass headlights.

Oh yeah, rollin' the Viper exhaust.
I wish I had something to put in this thread, anything is better than nothing.

How about my first car? It was free too. Anymore photos or info wanted, look to my signature.

My 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback

Quite a few pictures..
IMG_1052.jpg

Car phone! That's not the con, it's actually that the angle you see the steering wheel at is nearly "straight." So yes, it is misaligned.
IMG_1061.jpg

Sizeable dent...
IMG_1059.jpg

Pros:
-Started every time
-Quite advanced for 1997 (auto turn off lights and heated cloth seats)
-Handling gave good feedback
-No serious rust
-Spacious trunk
-Fog lights! (love them, but barely used them :()
-Attractive looks (IMO)

Cons:
-Entire car would vibrate at idle
-Doors would feel like they were moving outwards when using the power windows
-Knocking when turning at low speeds
-Very low on power, almost didn't make up an extremely steep hill :scared:
-Steering is misaligned and would stray towards the right
-Rough gear changes (automatic...)
-Trunk handle broken
-A LOT of scratches (Along with a very long pinstripe from someone keying it)
-Many dents from people in the city doing plenty of hit and runs...
-Many trim pieces were loose along with the cupholder being stuck
-Rear left passenger door has a gap from one of the large dents
-Quite few deep scratches from a tree branch landing on it.
-Front right rim had a leaky hole
-Several paint chips
-Deep scratches on rear plastic (off-roadish) bumpers (From my dad backing it up into a large rock
-Bumper stickers for a juice company...that's out of business... (Original owner was the owner of the company and a friend of my dad. Which is how we got the car)
-Very smokey
-Broken power side mirrors that would not work
-Didn't pass inspection...due to "emissions"
-Broken fuel gauge
-Steering would lock up when trying to start it up

And finally, my parents sold it off for scrap. :(

Cons:
-Entire car would vibrate at idle (So much power)
-Doors would feel like they were moving outwards when using the power windows (Roll cage not set up for that)
-Knocking when turning at low speeds (Warning that you are going to slow for what it was designed for)
-Very low on power, almost didn't make up an extremely steep hill :scared: (Not a lot of power when you're almost on the top of Everest)
-Steering is misaligned and would stray towards the right (Designed for clockwise tracks)
-Rough gear changes (automatic...) (Too much torque)
-Trunk handle broken (Aero improvements)
-A LOT of scratches (Along with a very long pinstripe from someone keying it) (They were jelly of the speed holes)
-Many dents from people in the city doing plenty of hit and runs... (Rubbins Racin'
-Many trim pieces were loose along with the cupholder being stuck (Never lose your tasty beverage)
-Rear left passenger door has a gap from one of the large dents (Filed PIT maneuver)
-Quite few deep scratches from a tree branch landing on it. (Vortex generators)
-Front right rim had a leaky hole (Light weight rim)
-Several paint chips (I got nothing)

I'm not trying to be an ***, I would poke fun at y own car too.
(If you want me to remove this then just ask)

It's alright, I made fun of it myself when I owned it. (Used to call it the DeathTrap) And yet I loved it too... Most of these faults lied upon my uncle who was the second owner and took almost no care of it at all. As well as living in the lower parts of the city in Maine. I just edited it and added some stuff I forgot to add earlier.

I wish the juice company sticker thing was posted earlier, I could have wrote in "sponsorship" lol.
I envision my first car to be a rusted out Ford Ranger with half a million kilometers on it.

Hopefully your first car will be one that lasts more than four months. :P

Front post has been updated with the newest addition. To those that posted your Pro/Cons, a pic, no matter how crappy (see what I did there) is all you need to get your name on the list :P

Oh the love of protocols.

My new car is a 1994 Geo Prizm. It's not crappy by any means, compared to my last car.

A Subset red mercury tracer wagon 1995. Affectionately called Pink Panther by everyone I knew, it was my mom's first car when we moved to the States.

The car had a paltry 70 HP when I gave it away, rust, bad brakes, an engine that screamed "kill me please" over 5000 rpm.

But even if I were blessed enough to buy a Ferrari, I probably will remember the fun times I had with Pink Panther. Funny thing about first cars is that you never forget them.

70 horsepower in 1995? I think a Smart Fortwo makes more than that these days. :scared:

1993 Nissan Sentra E.
ga16de
Approx 181,xxx-183,xxx (broken odometer)
5 speed. Gas saver approx 30 city 36 hwy
Horrible exhaust leak (cannot drive w/ windows down)
No headliner.
Wiper washer doesn't work.
Both ball joints are shot.
Rear seatbelts are broken (don't ask I have no clue)
Clear coat coming off.
Only rear speakers.
Door seals duct taped.
Rear bumper duct taped.
Clear windows (it's an oven in summer)
No A/C but the heater can make you sweat in the winter even with the windows down.
Only 73 bucks a month to insure.
No tachometer.
Cigarette lighter blows fuse every time it's used.
Cup holders won't fit anything larger than a soda can.
But interior is fairly clean for its age.
Oh yeah and all my family and friends call it the Red Rocket... -_-

Posted from iPhone. Will add pics when I get home.
Haha. Always wanted to be in a car club lol. Dream big!!

I'll have to get a few pictures soon.

De-bug Deflecta-Shield (2)
Truck is red, clear coated (been painted twice before)

Cons:

Years of plowing abuse
Frame cracked on top by motor (re-welded together)
2nd engine would rip mounts off the frame constantly
Severe amount of bubble rust on passenger front fender
Rusty all over really
2nd gas tank never got finished so there is a hole with melted plastic and ring for it, plastic melted when we welded new sheet metal over the holes in the wheel wells in the bed
Gets about 3-6mpg on average, should get about 12-13
Loud as hell even with mufflers
Extremely smelly, like gas and oil lol
Gas tank leaks, our fault from tightening the strap too much, patched with electrical putty
Only has a 19 gallon tank, gets 100 miles before filling up again
Needs fabric stapled to the top of cab again
Clear coat peeling
Paint peeling
2 foot hole in the floor by pedals, extends down the side and behind the seat
Seat belt mount is hanging through the floor
Lots of wiring hanging out for all the electrical mods and gauges
High/low beam foot peg part of the hole lol
Seat rids on the frame
Bench seat, only 3 people fit
Dashboard cracks in some spots
Only 2 inches of gas pedal travel (have fun driving with a built engine lol)
No abs
No traction control
No computer
No vents, heat comes under the dashboard
No A/C

Theres probably a lot more I missed lol

650k miles

That's what I call "Built Ford Tough"! 👍 Unfortunately, my 1999 Mercury Sable is far too nice to be in the club.

I've got pictures of the odometer to prove it too haha. Definitely built Ford tough lol
Also correction on the mileage, it's actually 665k.

Here's a pic. The ticker was adjusted so it doesn't count 1/10th of a mile on the white counter, it counts a full mile now. This was so it was easier to figure out the mileage so it rolled over every 1 million, not everyone 100,000.
