VCRC *Vintage Mixer League* -Sign Ups Welcome- Next race 23rd May

It was such a blast! I'm excited for this evening's event, and yet again I found myself looking at the wrong time. It came to 6pm and I wondered where is everyone... 6pm PDT not EDT. Still not used to living somewhere with so many time zones...

Congratulation 6 win on 7 races.

Thanks! I'm surprised that my Alfa didn't break down... That's what they're famous for. It's done over 100km and not one break down cant be right :)

Well, Zorrin makes it SEEM like the Spider is a ringer placed @ #1 on the list.
But it's not.
Zorrin is just that fast!! :nervous: :scared:
Notice how I came in last place when *I* got the Spider. :ill:

Though I have a feeling the Spider won't be lookin' so hot to anyone when we get 9 people in a race. :sly:

I miss only Nissan Fairlady 2000 (SR311) '68. Other cars ok.

Can i find it from Used cars list if i roll it enough? Or is it prize car?

Ok now i have all cars (thank to jackargent) and ready to go (oil change need to be done still though).

Make sure you check if the car needs an engine rebuild first. Save yourself some head-scratching later on! :)

Yes. I have cars with 0 km and cars with a lot more km so rebuild first if allow and if not then oil change.

I would like to join these series, i would be racing on saturdays, but could also run some races during the week.
Still have to check if i have all the cars needed in my GTP account, otherwise i will run these events with my 'racingworld' account.

This is a fun group, I think you are going to like it.

Do this.

I lost over 10hp because I forgot oil/rebuild on the Celica. You should have seen them disappear off the line. Poof gone as I slowly lumber through the gears.

Welcome. Let us know about your car inventory. 👍
Whichever acct you need use is fine.
Look forward to seeing you on track.

I must comment on everyone's BEAUTIFULLY painted Speciales. :D
Especially RDAardvark's special Speciale (@ Deep Forest)!!!

And note: I did repaint my awful hideous orange Bellet. :ill:
It's less offensive now. That Monaco Orange was a mistake and not meant to be seen in public.

Heads up:

Race will be hosted in the VCRC Lounge, add PSN: VCRC
Note: The VCRC account is just the club lounge account. It will rarely be signed on.
Get the FR in a.s.a.p. to assure acceptance in advance of racing.
In order to check the league lounge, you must click on the coffee cup,
and wait for the room content list to present.
No yellow people icon will show, even when the room is full.

Also please note that all club communication should be done through GTPlanet,
and not directed toward the PSN acct VCRC, as nobody checks messages there often, if at all.

(this is in the OP, but I think it sometimes gets missed. :( )

I'd like to extend my confirmation for Euro Wednesdays through the currently listed events (May 30).

👍

Cool. 👍
It was very fun, and the only regret is that you don't have more time to race with us!
Though it's the only way I came ahead of you in points that you didn't race to the end of session.

BTW: I used Aso Dijon by turbogeit as a test track for luxury cars, for the similar series we're planning with luxury cars. :sly:
I tested about 20 cars on it, with 3 timed laps. Which means I drove the track about 80 laps at least this past week.
ha ha. (I tend to try to kill 2 birds with one stone, because I'm not the most keen on practice.)
I really like that track. The last turn is a monster. But there's something very appealing about the track. I remember the 1st time we tested it for the G4 event, it was an immediate hit choice for the event.
Just sorry turbogeit couldn't make it.

I'll likely be in the lounge a tad early for warm-up.

Another strong showing for the Canuck!! Nice job Dit!!👍👍

Good and fun races last night (except London for me) 👍

I just want to tell my side of the story what happened in London becauce its bother my heard and i just want to get it off my shoulders.
I didnt save the replay so i have to count on my memories.

First race over and the second race started (London). I started pole and was leading. After a first corner i remembered that i should have been started second to last (reverse grid order) and stopped driving and let everyone pass me. Then i remembered that Zorrin/DQ did either started last and i saw him to attacking to lead. I got some hot emotion :guilty:
I started driving aggressively getting all that i could out of Bellet. I'm very sorry my aggressively driving. I just forgot the OLR roles with my hot emotions 👎

I humble apology to CoteDazur06, atonga619 and to you wat3rm370n :nervous:

I'm ok to get penalty for my driving. May be 0 pts from London or mercifully 1pts 👍

I would like to join this. Been looking for while to find somewhere to race all my pre-80s classics. I think i have all the cars on the list. I'll double check and get back to you. Hopefully see you on Wednesday.

@ GTP_J_Turner
Welcome! :)
I too like to race all the older model cars. We've been having fun with these!

They are low power, but all very very interesting.
I'm finding it fascinating hearing the different opinions in regards to the various cars.
Some hate the Bellet, some think it's great.

@ jammy21 yes, the grid order was mistaken on London. And it's a tight track. :scared: So I thought we would just chalk that race up to the winds of chance. That was my mistake forgetting to set the grid order. I was as confused as everyone else when the race started. ha ha
:dunce: I'm not always 100% on the ball. :dopey:
I understand that caused consternation. I lost my head too, and that's why I didn't ask for a penalty. LOL In the replay I saw that in one case at London I should have given way as well and made things worse. We all lose our heads sometimes. :guilty:
Lessons learned! It was just one race out of 42. I'm sure we'll all be more mindful (of concessions) in future. Both of us included. 👍

NOTE to members. Please help me keep an eye on changing the setting after Race#1. :dunce:

Just confirming that i do have all the cars on your list and am available to race tomorrow. 👍

What time will the lobby be open from, roughly?

👍
I usually try to post here when I'm going into the lounge. I don't think there's anything else scheduled in the VCRC lounge tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get in early to get some warm-up on the custom track. (Just because I made it, doesn't mean I know it! lol)
