MCRC *Luxury Mixer League* - Tour of Luxury Thursday 31st!

Who's the owner of the mcrc_lounge?
My friend request is still pending.

I'm going to open MY lounge.
PSN: wat3rm370n

Waiting on multi-schedule login holders for the lounges.
Sorry guys. :ouch:

I got caught up today until now with family.

Try coming in through someone else's yellow ball ...me & melon in just now

Just an fyi - you can't do that if the lounge isn't a friend.
IE: if my friend is in someone else's lounge, i only see the yellow people icon if that person is also my friend. :(

Results are pending steward review of replays which will take place tomorrow, as one of the stewards is in European time zone.

Some photos - in no particular order....

Caption: Understeering P.O.S., particularly with a driver who hates 4wd.

I think it was cc570 who said the Suzuki Wagon RR R was the most understeering car in gt5. I think it's the RS6 Avant.

Maybe we should make a 2-speed traffic race with the Suzuki Wagon RR R and the Avant.

I could be wrong but I think the most understeering car in GT5 is the Jay Leno Tank Car, I could be wrong though. Other than that I think there may be a muscle car that's worse than the RS6. There could be some FF cars that are worse too but yea, the RS6 doesn't like to turn in for sure. It's actually pretty damn good in the snow though. Great fun.

Tank car is just bad in all sorts of ways.
It has combo-steer. Oversteer and understeer... sometimes at the same time! :boggled:

If there's interest in another season of luxury mixer, we'll have a rally event with a snow race & such. ;)

Funny before Spec II I hated the Avant, now I find it a dream to drive. Really don't have that many problems with it understeering - guess it is a difference in driving style.

It's very much a point and squirt car. Just remember that and she'll transform from harbour barge into jetboat!

Loved the races last night, can't wait for the next series! Adding the photos of last nights event is a nice touch, I didnt know it was that close in some cases! I hope my driving wasnt too bad

So dropping that place at Monza cost me then. Thought drivers who rejoin the track are ment to wait? I got collected by someone rejoining the track and got penalised for it. :(

Great racing though. I really enjoyed the challenge in that awful car.

Please watch the replay from the behind view from you. You were not collected by someone rejoining the track. You moved to the other side of the road from the car that was off-road, passed him, went off-roading yourself, and failed to slow down when re-entering the track, by that time the other guy had time to re-enter the track & catch up, and you had then lost control of your car from off-roading (dirt in tires) and careened all the way from the grass on one side of the road, to the car who was maintaining a line on the opposite side of the road, without slowing.

Once you hit the grass, REGARDLESS OF THE REASON, your first priority should have been to slow down, and try to stay off track until you were sure the track was clear for your re-entry. And once back on track you should've been maintaining a line not careening across.
BTW: I was right behind you and had to slow to avoid colliding with you as you careened across the track, failing to hold a line, and bouncing off walls & another car after re-entering the track after your excursion into the grass.

These are difficult cars, and of course these types of incidents should be expected. But when they happen, it's also expected to make contact concessions.

And someone else's recklessness is never an excuse for over-driving yourself.
Payback or monkey-see-monkey-do rule violations are strictly prohibited.

We all have to exercise a little patience when others' cars get loose, because in these types of cars, that's bound to happen sometimes.

Okay all the car assignments for Race #1 of the next Sunday event are posted here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6993693#post6993693
Unfortunately the next Sunday event won't take place until:
Sunday 27 May @ 1:30pm PDT / 4:30pm EDT / 9:30pm BST / 10:30pm CEST / 20:30 UTC
Because Sunday 13 May is Mother's Day (here in the U.S. at least).
And the following Sunday I can't host because it's the weekend of my wedding reception.

Thursday event is this Thursday - Event #2 also (like this past Sunday's) World Tour
Thursday 10 May @ 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT / 8pm BST / 9pm CEST / 19:00 UTC

And here's the Race #1 car assignments too:

(This is all based on points standings. (Explained in OP.)

This will be an S type R Battle hahaha

Well that's assuming that everyone who's not participated on Thursday before decides this is the week they can join! :D

@ dmihaylov
Thursday you get your next chance to move up the Undertaker Points Tally! :sly: :sly:

Actually it's not too bad on Tsukuba. I could have done much better had I not lost concentration and swerved off track at a corner.

The Pig is going to be destroyed tomorrow around Tsukuba if all those S-Types turn up. Might as well just park at a hairpin and watch the show ;

You say that - but Sunday there were 3 S-types in the Tsukuba race, and you placed 4th of 8 somehow! :boggled:

Somehow I'm not expecting all 7 people who haven't participated before to suddenly be available tomorrow... But stranger things have happened!

So who's in for the Thursday event this week??
