F.I.T.T Tunes the Seasonal Beta - A-Spec 500PP FR Challenge June 6

This thread is a call out to my fellow F.I.T.T. tuners and tuning garages. Drivers on GTP come to our garages all the time for tunes for seasonal events. We have all received positve comments in our garages or see links to our tunes posted in the seasonal forums. Well, I thought that we should just make it easy on the GTP driving community and bring the tunes to them, right here in the seasonal forums.

To our fellow GTP drivers, if you have not heard of F.I.T.T over in the tuning forums, this is the Federaton of International Tuners and Test Drivers. F.I.T.T holds monthly competitions between for tuners. Sometimes the competition is about building the fastest tune and sometimes it is just about building one that is the most fun to drive or the most interesting. Here is the link to F.I.T.T if you haven't visited before. We are always looking for test drivers to score our competitons. It's fun and you get to drive cars from the best tuners on GTP. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5752714#post5752714

To my tuning friends, this is the challenge that I am putting forth. Who can build "the tune" with the lowest PP, that can produce the most money for the seasonal drivers? Or, who can build the car that is the most fun or most creative, low PP car. This isn't going to be as strict as our monthly competitions. This is purely about bragging rights. This is about positive comments from the seasonal participants.

Pick any car that fits the restrictions. Go for pure speed or for pure crazy. Crank the PP level as low as you dare with the ability to pull off the win. Be track specific if you wish. This is not our typical competition. You won't have two weeks to build the perfect tune. People are racing this seasonal right now. Begin posting now and keep posting until the next A-spec seasonal arrives. I may come up with some prizes at the end if there is a way to score (# of comments, most money won, etc.), but let's treat this first one as a test.

Drivers, have a crack at the tunes that get posted here and tell us what you think. Post the PP level you used, the lead AI car that you had to beat and the money that you won. It would also be nice if you could post some comments on how the tune felt, good or improvement feedback.

Thanks for supporting the tuning garages on GT Planet.

I'm guessing you'll be using a MX5, MCH? :P

Who's up for a cup of Cappuccino? Alright, that was a crap one, I admit.

Good idea Hami. Can I suggest that you place restrictions on tyres, keeping them the same or less than the AI use..??

Building low PP cars for these events was how I got started, so double 👍👍 from me...

It's restricted to Sport mediums anyways, which are a bit less grippy than the softs that we normally play with, so I'm fine with that. Now, to get that lot in on things…or are they still bitter…I wonder.

Yea well get back on the PS3 and get tuning, or just use that 450PP MX5 from the roadster shootout from days of old and go down from there. :P

How did you know? I will be building an MX-5... maybe even a few of them, old to new. And an S2000 and a Mustang and probably a Corvette. Then I'm going to look for the wackiest car I can find. Maybe a truck? Can a Honda S800 get up to 400PP?

This is going to be a fun weekend.

@OP if you have any tunes you'd like me to test on the SUPRA RZ 97, I'll be using it for this FR 500 PP challenge

Mate, a look at you having fun in that little green thing in the picture to the left of your posts does give it away somewhat. :P

You'd be lucky if it got to 380PP I reckon…

Also, if I find a Spitfire, I'm making the fight between the Honda and Spitty a recreation of WWII.

Mmm, which event? Will each tune be tailored to an event? I know that the PP requirements to win the events vary wildly.

Nope. Still bitter. :P

Just kidding :dopey:

Why stop there? Tune a Mustang, a BMW, and an Alfa :D.... I may have to do that :dopey:

@MCH great idea. Should be lots of FUN 👍

Axis vs Allies, pre 1970s cars? Also, are the VW war buggies FR?

👍 this is the kind of fun I've been missing.

The swimming wagon (whatever it's called) is 4WD, not sure about the other :dopey:

What, all talk, and not a single car in sight?

The Shwimmwagen? And your pet favourite Kubelwagen is eligible, I think!

Eh, you know me. I'm not home right now :grumpy:... should be later though :D

The Outlaws are in possession of his ride at the moment anyways :P

If I know you, you're going to enter a Toyota Sport 800 and turn it into some kind of go-kart in the shape of a soap bar.

Well, one man is, for all I know and care. I wonder though… how about a VIP Lexus GS300 for all you younger guns?

I plan to post track specific tunes. For the last A-spec 450PP seasonal I tuned a different car for each track at between 350PP and 380PP, I just didn't post them. That is where this idea came from.

I was playing with a tune of the Supra RZ last weekend. I will add this to the mix. Do you have a preference for which track?

💡 a soap box go-kart 👍

I have an IS 300, but it's a reindeer at the moment :dopey:

Although I'm not a member of F.I.T.T. nor do I have a tuning garage, I may just enter this as an independent. I have no problems being able to tune a car. Sounds like a great challenge.

And your pet favourite Kubelwagen is eligible, I think!

WRONG

Correct answer is: it's RR.

That said, the Kubelwagen is my personal least favourite of all the classic Veedubs. It just isn't inspiring enough to me.

I knew this was coming so I was playing with an '07 Roadster last night. :D At 443PP I can destroy the AI on the first two events but not enough oomph for the fast tracks. I'll finish it and post it this week.

I really cant find a car or PP limit that I want to work on.

Any ideas?

I'd be a happier bunny if there was a set PP limit really... since otherwise it's tuning purely on the feel of the car. Which is also alright I guess.

Later on I'll post my 400PP tunes for the Opera and V8S.

Since the obvious goal is to win with the minimum PP to get the maximum bonus...

Why don't you pick one of the 5 tracks and do a minimum PP tune for your favorite FR car.
