Will have new entries for the London races. Going FF Hondas.

FF Honda Integra or Civic Type R's will be good choices for London. Anyone wanting to try some FF's this be the place:idea:

Johnnypenso / Johnnypenso / Ford RS200 Rally Car '85 / 451pp / 1:15.631 / EDT

That's the minimum PP for that car and I barely made it under the wire!:) She's a bit understeery but that works well without ABS.

Well gents, I have tried loads of cars but I can't seem to find one that fits my needs for tomorrow's race. I was really digging the RS200 rally car, but started pulling laps in the 1:11s. I tried limiting the power, but even at 50%, I was still in the 1:14s. I might do a bit more testing tonight if I get a chance, but its looking like I may have to sit this one out.

London round 4 MCRC entry

New entry, lower PP

Cote Dazur/cotedazur06/Honda CR-Z * '10/335pp/1'10:815/EDT
I'm surprised someone went with a hybrid. Hybrids should be great for getting low PPs in the hot lap contest, but might lose pace during the race if/when their batteries completely run out of electricity. It might not be much of a problem with the CR-Z though, it's not nearly as dependant on battery power as a Prius.

Alright, I am going to make an entry, but it won't be pretty.

Either you're the greatest driver in the history of GT5 or there is something wrong with your numbers JuJu...lol:drool: 50% is the lowest the power limiter will go on any car, so if you were hitting 1:14's at 50%, it would be impossible to be in the 1:11's unless you were on substantially better tires or you mistakenly added parts to the car before you drove it. Off the top of my head, the RS200 Rally car has barely 200 hp at 50% power limiter. Unless you are on racing tires, I don't think that car will do 1:11's at 50% engine limiter.

Yes Cote, I sure hope you did a full race run with that CR-Z because once the battery wears out you'll be 2 seconds off the pace for sure. I raced it in a one off race recently but can't remember how long it lasted:crazy: but I'd guess that 11 laps at Eiger is cutting it close.

You have the numbers the wring way round, he did 1:11.xxx then, 1:14.xxx at 50%.

For London I am doing the 97 Civic hatch at 333pp, and the 83 CRX at 367pp. Will post official entries later this week. I really struggled with some of the older Hondas (City and 83 Civic) unless the PP was up that high. So much for the idea of PP...just shows how far off that system is.

The CR Z is for London. I won't be able to test it before Friday. I did not realize that this car performance would change for the race. How many laps are we going to do for the London race?

The London races will be 12/13 laps.

Thank you Mike, I hope you will a good time at Eiger today.
I will not have acces to my PS3 before Friday as I will be on a business trip.
I hope someone will post pictures of today's racing.

Well we all know THAT isn't true. I was hitting 1:11s at 100%, 420 HP, 540 PP (or something close). I backed the power down gradually, and was getting 114s at 50% with 210 HP and like 470 PP. Taking that logic, I tried some other cars in the 470PP range, but nothing drove as majestically as the RS200. I tried the road car, but it was going to be tough for me to consistently hit 1:15s, so the Renault it is.

Tested the Spoon version of the CR-Z and battery was dead on lap 8, I'd say there was a 14-18hp drop after that and I couldn't keep remotely close to the ghost. Not sure if the CR-Z is any better. I think I remember a tokyo seasonal that was 5 laps and it couldn't finish that without going flat.

Thank you for the test, I guess I will have to choose an other car!

There are some tricks to making the battery last. I think you're referring to the PP based Seasonal at Cape Ring, where the Prius was the lowest PP car to make the cut giving the biggest rewards. Throttle control helps save the battery. On downhill sections go at half throttle and the battery switches off. Back off slightly early entering corners etc. I found you can get maybe an extra 20-25% out of the battery that way. With all the uphill sections at Eiger it would be tough to do. Perhaps the only place it would work is in the tunnel and that won't get you an extra 3 laps that's for sure.

I'm driving a car from my wife's garage today. I'll be under the wat3rm370n banner.
Heavy weather rolling in here may bring disconnects.

I decided to do us all a favor and not participate tonight in the Maxi Turbo. Never have I come across a car that was so averted to going in a straight line.

I tried the Maxi and could not do anything with it either. :-(

More excellent racing tonight with a slightly smaller field. I obviously picked the right 4wd rally car, as when everyone else was fishtailing out of the corners I was smooth as silk in my RS200 Rally Car!! Hooray for a little understeer!

Nice work Johnnypenso. looking at those pics makes me jealous that I wasn't there. I will hopefully be available next week though.

Thanks Juju:) Congrats to Freaky too, 1st, 2nd and 3rd:tup:
