Next Core Season we shall be testing out a 3 Class season 👍
The classes have not be decided yet but i am hoping it shall make for a lot more battles :)

Paul Williams, the composer of Bugsy Malone movie, had a song in the movie that I think fit this side season quite well, "Down and Out".

I echo the sediments of my fellows and say that the side seasons do not get as much activity as the core seasons. What makes the problem worse is that side seasons are as long as the core seasons, and that is really a bad thing once you think about it.

Okay, that wasn't necessarily fair, but there is a fatigue factor in the game that no one has really accounted for, and alternating between core and side seasons and expect the numbers to carry over will not add to the fun factor. In the end though, the point of the game is to have fun, is it not?

Hi! just saw this and thought this was interesting, what do I need to join?
EDIT: hope it doesn't die :nervous:

This bit as of now i'm thinking of dropping to around 2 weeks on a side season 👍

In my honest opinion, if interest in the side seasons continue to fall (Initial D Recreation excluded), the only logical thing I can see happening is that side seasons are replaced by themed time attacks with more focus being emphasised on the core seasons.

I can agree with that 👍

By the way, to all LotS regulars:
I've started making video reviews for touge courses.
Starting with the classic, Mt. Akina

If anyone would like me to review their course, please review any of our cars at TheCardboardBox and share your track with us :gtpflag:

I really like the concept of events that everyone has here. You are all very passionate about the tounge racing.

But for me, I have been put off from entering for two reasons.

1. The tuner shootout that was held. It started out well, it got all of us tuners enjoying tuning for the tounge, but in the end noone is sure of, or how it ended... we are all still confused.
2. I spent time finding a car, tuning it, signing up for a side season, only to have it canceled and rebranded for Italian cars. I wasn't going to attempt to tune another in fear this would change too.

I wish you all the best of luck and continued success. I will continue to observed from a far (and even tune a car from time to time). Just putting in my two cents.

Good luck, and have a great day :dopey:

Yeah, that was one hectic and confusing shootout. The reason being that it was a Time-Attack format as opposed to competitive racing - which is where the real fun in touge is, aside from tuning and sheer driving pleasure.

Mind you, this is the first time a Side Season has ever been re-scheduled, re-branded, or re-anything'd. You shouldn't let those two very circumstantial reasons deter you completely from LotS. In time you'll find how much fun it can be, just join some of our open lobbies when you have the time 👍

The reasoning behind the re-naming of the side season was because of a whole bunch of things. I shall list h=as much as i can remember:
1. That 4wd's where banned
2. people wants the enter cars there were not classed as hatchback's, Scirocco R, M Coupe, Euro-R Honda (< Title gives it away)
I got annoyed with all the complaining about number 2 so i changed it.

Personally, I'm not perturbed by the changing of the side season. After all, it IS a side season simply to try new stuff. And, historically - side seasons have always been far quieter than the cores. The core seasons always start off with a bang after a slow side season too!

Patience, my friends. Lots isn't dead yet and won't be anytime soon ;)

i'm just sitting this side season out as it didn't interest me, but i'm gearing up fore next core season

have spent the last few days trying to tune up cars for differant classes and messing with drivetrain types getting excited to get involved or even just pop into a lobby for a cruise or watch some racing

although has been difficult due to noobness on track maker and tuning would def like to see some well made tracks and see how my tunes respond in comparison to others

This is the Intro Video to the Touge Rundown series.

The show is all about Touge. I'll be running through user-created courses, offering tuning advice, answering questions, and typical Gran Turismo Touge related things. Occasional Wangan features might be a possibility. Subscribe to the channel to stay updated!!

Thanks to my 9th grade Finals, I couldn't make it to this Side Season, but as of now, the Sophisticated Madman is back in the Touge!

Well, thats till the 29th, when I'm touring Czech Republic and Berlin for a week :D

So, if anybody wants to do Touge with/against me, hit me up!

BTW, I subbed to your little Touge channel (second!), Snake, so I'll be waiting for them videos :D

In the first episode I'll be doing a frantic day/night tour of the classic touge course Mt Akina and I'll be showcasing The White Comet. You're all in store for some quality youtube/gran turismo entertainment 👍. Also, If anyone has any tuning questions related to touge or any of the car's which OSE_CAP__SHADOW and myself have shared with you all, please send them into the tuning thread or email to thecardboardbox.tuning@gmail.com and I'll be answering a select few on the show.
Look forward to this episode releasing next weekend!!

Thank you all for your support and helping make the GTP touge community a great one to be a part of. I look forward to your questions.

Happy driving!

I'm currently deep in the editing process for the first episode of "Touge Rundown." A new youtube series all about Touge on Gran Turismo. Do you, the community, have any questions about touge, tuning or gran turismo that you want answered in this first episode?

If so, please feel free to ask here on this thread 👍

This place looks a little different since I was last here. Is Timber still around?

Not really. There has been a transition of power in the league recently, and now OSE_SHADOW is running things. Our recent side season, the Italian season, has been a disaster in terms of participation.

However, there is some discussion going on with what to do about the side seasons themselves, as I pointed it out a page ago that they are as long as the core seasons themselves when it was under Timber's watch.

EDIT: Shadow, I want to start a social page for this league on facebook, if it is alright. This is mostly to keep discussions like this one from propping up in the first place and cluttering the thread. If it is a legit question, fine, but we need to keep questions like this one from spamming the thread.

I believe somewhere in the old thread this had been discussed and declined...

Sorry haven't been here since core season 3, besides there is not much activity in the thread anyway.
