Ok so I've been away for a day or so.. As with everyone else, Fridays at 7 BST works fantastic for me :) I'll be making the pre-season race tomorrow. I support the two room system though V8 makes some solid points about management difficulty, and complainers. I'll admit to being slow and in a bad car :) But this is my first series, thats how its gonna go, I'm not gonna complain. I'm not gonna win however, I just wanna earn some points and have fun :)

Hey can everybody do me a favor when in the race? If you have an extreme crash and think that would cause a safety car in real life, can you then please use the text chat and type "sc" with small (I have the big letters :P )? I might not notice everything that happens on the track so it would be nice if you can help me there :)

Are we doing a pace lap? If not it would be cool if you could stay at the back of the pack and flash your headlights like the medical car does in F1.....you'd need a premium car ofcourse...I've spotted a bit of a problem...In race 1 when you finish last, you're gonna start on pole in race 2....whats the protocol for that??

As a rule sc deploys if 3 or more players asks for it and not in the last lap?

Concerning sc in pole i think its enough to exit and re-enter the room?

It's not problem about SC on pole: I'll just enter ghost mode and let you past, or we can just use jb's system again. I think the last looks better on replays 👍

And yes, if I can clearly see 3 or more people being dangerous for others (slow, spinning, static) or more than 3 request it, I will confirm the SC is on the track. Not for more than 1 or 2 laps at max, and the last lap will never have a SC*. And I will always drive the first lap behind you just to make sure everything is ok :)

* any accidents on the first lap after a SC will be penalized as hard as first lap accidents, to avoid heavy ramming in the case the SC pulls in just before the last lap :)

So when mort will call "sc in" all the positions shall be frozen and people stop fighting. Make sure all learn sc car rules. And geeky, add the sc guidelines to the first post!

^^^ Everyone please please please cooperate with the rules....👍

Rules have been sent to Geeky

Edit: In case Geeky does not post them in time, here they are:

Official rules and guidelines:

1: Static position
When the Safety Car (SC) is static, it is parked around the end of the pit wall. It is an advise to take note of the approx. position in qualifying.

2: When deploying

The SC will announce it's deployment by posting "SC", "sc in" or similar in the text chat.
It will deploy when: 3 or more cars are considered dangerous (slow, spinning, static) or 3 or more drivers request it. Any SC will have the reason investigated. Abuse of the SC can result in disqualification and a 1-week-no-replacement ban, depending on situation and severity.
When on the track, the SC will wait for the cars around turn 1.
When the message is displayed, the positions may no longer change and overtaking is forbidden. Only exception is if the car is a lap behind.

3: Behind the SC

You may at no point overtake the SC. Anyone doing so will risk disqualification.
The SC will try to keep a speed of about 50 mph/80 kmh, faster or slower depending on track and situation.
When catches up to the SC row, the no overtaking rule and it's exception is still at play.

4: When SC is leaving

The SC will, in time, heavily accelerate. This means it will be leaving the track that lap. The no overtaking is now completely enforced without exceptions.
At this point the leader takes the role of SC and may Drider the speed. Still no overtaking.
To avoid drivers holding others back, there may not be more than estimated 10 car lengths between the cars. Anyone found guilty of not obeying this will risk disqualification and a 1-week-no-replacement ban, depending on severity.
When the leader crosses the start-finish line, everybody is free to resume normal racing.

Thankyou for these Rallymorten,
Just trying to see whether the other person who wanted to be the SC driver will.

So hold on to your hats and lets go for it :D

Lovin how complicated things have got.:lol:

It's only because it looks big (insert that's what she said joke :D ), most of it is the same rules as those in F1 :)

Maybe, i just liked the simple turn up and race approach of S1 made the series what it was. But i guess if the driving standards dont allow it needs must.:indiff:

I understand your concern, but don't worry.
Once the Season starts of, then it will all be fine :)

We'll get used to it. Just as we'll get used to all the other stuff in life :)

guys unfortunatly im going to have to back out of this series, the times are to late which wouldnt be a problem usually but they are days im rostered on sorry guys i was looking forward to it,

looking at the pace of you guys I won't be participating in this, but I wish you all the best.

Don't worry I understand :)
Also Did you mean the pace of how fast and popular the forum is or the speed of our drivers? :indiff:

Ok thats fine :)

come on mike get back! i was desperatly off pace last season if you just checked times, and i still managed to end in 7th position out of 21, and quite close to the 5th.

i've also greatly improved my driving and even if scoring a podium is a mirage, i managed to get a lot of fun and great fights with most of the drivers :)

also remember that there's crashes, tires consumption etc etc, so you always get a chance.

as a last thing, at least try the race today before leaving.
