Kingofweasles, sure you can take Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car ('02).

My only comment was about once someone has raced a series with the same people and knows where they stand, that there is little point in taking the hottest car and racing the same people again. I'm sure old Geezer would make it challenging in the worst car in this selection, but then again THC118 did beat him in the Vertigo. So everything is relative to who and when and with what your racing.

What I do find funny though, was several requests to have the Chevrolet Corvette C5R ('00) included and no one has taken one yet. ;)

Just one question BH-21; how many cars can we actually choose since there is only one division ? Rule number 2 says four cars in total or one per division but I would say that rule needs to be changed seems we don't have 4 divisions anymore. :)

I noticed that too... Also, thanks for clearing that all up BH-21; I only took the GT-R because I haven't played GT4 in FOREVER and I'm probably a lot slower at it than I used to be... :nervous::guilty::(

That and you know, trying to support the whole "Fast Car, Slow Driver" idea you and others in this series have.

I'm just naturally slow, so it makes little difference for me. :)

P.S. I know the rules allow for divisions, and that they are gone. Good point, how about up to two cars, even though the rules will not reflect it. I already have a different set on my computer that has divisions but the one here doesn't. They also support teams and other things no one is doing.

Sounds good to me, but I'll pick another, quicker vehicle after I see how fast I'll be doing races with NSX. I would be happy to form a team just to see how it's working, but if no one wants to do the same, then it's quite pointless.

Re Corvette; If it sounded even half as awesome as it does in real life it would be my number one choice, sadly it doesn't and it really affects my desire to use it.
The same thing happened to me; Camaro LM was meant to be my choice but after hearing it's Mazda Miata - like engine I decided to discard it for good :yuck:. At least we have one racing Corvette that sounds good (here).

Seeing as how my G25 is sitting on the floor in little pieces, I don't think that I will make it this time.

If I can get the pedal inversion and heel/toe kit, and the steering hub adapter done in time then I may make it. ;)

Just for officialness (SP) I'll use car number 84. Also is it safe to assume the finish date is 15 Oct 2012. (Post 67 + 1 month)

You are correct sir. Painting up your car now with a big #84.

If it's alright with you, I'll also sign-in my official Car Number as #23. I also want to enter a second car for this series: The Jaguar XJ220 LM Race Car ('01) running #22.

One question BH-21; During Tsukuba run on Real Circuit Tours I was overlapped by one of the Group C cars, thus the race was finished during lap 14, providing me unrealistic total time.
Basically, it's impossible to finish any of this long events without being overtaken at least once no matter how fast I drive. What should we do in such cases ?

I would assume that you would still just record your time, the lowest time would still win unless someone can get an extra lap in.

Like an enduro.

I thought it was a fixed number of lap event not timed. I will check it out.

Is that the only track that happens on? I haven't gotten to the real circuit tours events yet. For now Bopop's solution is the only one.

So I'm right in assuming the deadline is the 15th of October?
Because I think that my pedals should be back together by then.

I'm also on the beginning of Real Circuit Tours, so I can't provide truthful informations; however, it happened so far on Tsukuba but not on La Sarthe. I guess it depends on how short circuit really is and what kind of AI you get in the field.

So basically, we should just post total time without number of laps completed ? In that case we must make sure that every single participant IS overlapped only once. It looks funny to see my time almost equal to those from Group C car.

Nah... I feel like that would just encourage people to deliberately run slower on those races so they can get better overal times rather than focus on racing as fast as possible.

I guess it just doesn't feel right to me that I could do a run that completed the race distance, but lose out to someone else who was two-three laps behind me but had an artificially faster time... Of course, I guess that old saying "What people never know, never really hurt them" or something like that.:indiff:

Well, I raced it. I wasn't lapped, and it ended normally on the proper lap count. So I don't know whats going on with your game. I would recommend you rerun it and use different tires.

Uh... my mistake. For some reason I thought I have picked R3 tires but accidentally I took R2 ones. That, in addition to fact that I took stock NSX for a test ride, and it becomes obvious that I was overlapped due to general slowness. False alarm, my apologies. :guilty:

Hmm... Well, there seems to be some kind of voodoo curse put on my copy of GT4: For some reason, even though the disk itself has been resurfaced it won't play on my new PS2! :nervous: (As a side note, it also wont play any of my other Gran Turismo games either, yet everything else in my collection works fine?!)

Because of this, I'm not sure if I can compete in this competition or not...

Done.

I tested my Nissan against the Jaguar, and they split the races 8-6.
So, I also have times for the Jaguar, but I don't think I'll submit them.
Chances are I'll steal points from myself, however I will enter with another car,
the Honda NSX-R Prototype LM.

Ok, I will keep you listed until either time runs out or everyone else posts their times. You never know, things change.
