I don't think attendance is mandatory every race but it's nice to see more people out every race. Makes it more fun for everyone there . Also don't worry about your driving. Most of us did not even come close to the GT Academy 200 list or anything like that. That and a few of us race with the simple PS3 controller. So you will be fine . Also new people are usually start in group 2 and then move up our down depending on well they do in the race. One of the stewards or the turtle it self will provide more info.

Cool... the intent would be to catch them all. I'm usually racing Saturday nights anyways. I'm a married man though, so my schedule is permanently listed as "subject to change"

Being married with kids, I hear you. I joined with basically the same intent. As far as your driving, well I don't even know what the GT Academy 200 list is, so that ought to tell you something.

This is a good group of people who are friendly, clean racers, and they keep a fun, casual environment. I've been with the Turtles for two races, and it's been a good time. I think you will enjoy it.

Good practice got some kinks worked out today . Vary intense racing for the people in the middle and the leader.


Also for some reason later in the practice when i dropped out of the room quickly for some reason when i got back in Pysco looked like he was stuck in a never ending loading screen so i dropped out and try to get back in and i was stuck in a never ending loading screen XD. I've been following this thread for a while, and between my new wheel and a great upcoming race schedule, I thought it was time to throw my name into the hat. Scarecrow937 is also my PSN.

Quick question... is attendence every week mandatory? (I'm a casual racer of about 4-8 hours a week only and honestly, not every race on the schedule interests me)

I'm probably a level 3 racer, but understand your entry rules. I just want to do some clean racing where I'm not getting stomped by the GT Academy top 100, lol. (And running more than 5 laps.)

I think that getting pole this week will matter more than most weeks. Very hard track to pass on.

It was lonely practicing alone last night... that's my fault for the late post. Car is not broken in yet, but fast lap was 1:13.0...average good laps were 1:13.4 with some 1:14's early on during bad laps. Amazing how well this car turns in stock. What were average times last night broken in?

we were all running about the same lap times as that. Except for one Notable car in Pink who had a modded nitro engine; not sure how he got it through the tuning filter, but he obviously had it installed as his lap times were 1.5-2.0 seconds faster.

Hey, Psycho, I have a NASCAR ticket that was given to me by Friend29, so I have one now. He didn't have to give me one, as I CAN BUY ONE BY MYSELF, but I thanked him anyway.

It didn't seem like it was that hard to pass on, I mean, people were able to get by me without any issues, !

But seriously though, I'm very proud to have made it as far as 4th place for a few laps in the second race, and not causing any incidents on such a tight track. It's going to be a fun race!

Yeah, you're right in line with lap times. I was running low 13's at 309hp before practice. This car is just plain silly-seems like it oughta be going through turns sideways with tires screaming and howling in agony. Had fun running with Mic last night in heat 2. The pink car was in a different time zone for sure, wew. Choate's really fast-nice driving.

Choate51 is very fast he was running 1:11's. I could'nt stay with him.

Race Recap

Division 1: The racing was very competitive with great battles throughout both races. It was certainly a mixed bag in the results from Race 1 and Race 2. DREX81 took 1st Place in the Final Results for Division 1 by winning Race 1 and finishing in 2nd Place in Race 2. martin_ky had his share of problems in Race 1 but made up for it with a come from behind win in Race 2. The Eau Rouge corner cutting penalty system certainly took it's toll on some drivers. Psycho-Tuber never could get away from it with multiple penalties in Race 2. RacingOtaku86 made his debut in Division 1 and handled it very well and will be a solid Division 1 driver. TX_Executioner, RacingOtaku86, and FFK13 all held down the middle of the field with 5th Place and 3rd Place, 3rd Place and 6th Place, and 4th Place and 5th Place finishes respectively. MajikTom was one and done.

Division 2: It was Choate51 and then everyone else. In Division 1 it probably would have been Choate51 and then everyone else based on his lap times. Otherwise, mbobb1969 with his 3rd Place finish in Race 1 and his 2nd Place finish in Race 2 was the closest anyone could get to Choate51 in the Final Results. Johnny_Suede had a good Race 1 finishing in 2nd Place but didn't do as well in Race 2 with a 5th Place finish. fumanchu11 gave mbobb1969 all he could handle in Race 1, but unfortunately got disconnected in Race 2. Friend-29 put in 2 solid performances with a 5th Place finish in Race 1 and moving up 2 positions for 3rd Place in Race 2. GTP-tzracer had a much better Race 2 as well, finishing in 4th Place up from 7th Place in Race 1. shred-tec was certainly the most consistent with 6th Place finishes in Races 1 and 2 finishing just behind Friend-29 in Race 1. Although jaydoc_and_meech finished last in both races he improved his fast lap time by close to 4 seconds from Race 1 to Race 2, good job!

Division 3: iceandspice and Infnital-NG battled it out for 1st Place in the Final Results with iceandspice taking 1st Place in the Tie Breaker by just .062. iceandspice had a great race and win in Race 1 with Infinital-NG returning the favor in Race 2. Burnout2C and johnsom finished in 3rd and 4th Place respectively with johnsom making it before the time expired in Race 2. Yippee!

Congratulations to DREX81, Choate51, and iceandspice their overall wins. We would like to welcome Choate51, and Friend-29 to the league and to the series. Congratulations on another great week of racing!

Great, here is how you join.

How to Join the Turtle Racing League

Step 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID in this thread and include your request for "Division A" if you wish to use driver assists. Also choose and include a unique (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination. You will also need to choose a unique car number for cars with number plates.

Step 2: Accept the friend requests you are sent which will include our TURTLE_Town lounge that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races.

Step 3: Purchase and break in your car(s) then change the oil. Do not tune them in any way. Races are "Tuning Prohibited" however, the "Tuning Prohibited" filter allows for changing brake balance, torque split, and engine limiter.

Step 4: Join the appropriate divisional lounge on Saturday night at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific
