I've got 9 points to prove this one wrong. Using the 'report' button sends an email to every Moderator, doing so in excess, even if rightfully so, will get you 30% banned!

Well, I've got 0 points to prove it right. Don't know what you were doing wrong, but I've never had a problem with reporting posts.

I used the 908 HDi. No tune, just a mid range turbo. Makes for an interesting event…and frustrating at the same time. Every race it came to passing the rabbit on the last few corners. Best advice I can give is drive the wheels off the 908. It can be a bit tricky until the Tyres warm up, but as long as you’re consistent and avoid penalties you’ll be ok. Le Mans was frustrating. You need to be faultless-no penalty, no spins no anything. Use the opponents draft on the straights, and you should catch the rabbit in the run into the last chicane.

I use a Nissan R89C Race Car '89. I won easily on Twin Ring Motegi Road Course and Circuit de la Sarthe '09 version but i cant win on Tsukuba Circuit for some reason.

i don't know about the other guys tip (i have skipped on buying te 2j, now i never see it online anymore).

what makes tsukuba so damn easy is you big red japanese friend, the escudo. i was doing 49 second laps without even trying. im not even that good, this car just wrecks tsukuba and the opponents cars.

so, having trouble with tsukuba, try the suzuki escudo pikes peak.

Short cut penalties like in time trials.
Good idea but is slowly driving me crazy!
Could be an on/off setting like racing line.
Also more laps with these super fast cars would be nice.

Has any one used 5 different cars yet, one per race?

^^^this was going to be the first one I try. (Haven't had a chance to try this seasonal yet).

Should be interesting :dopey:

I usually get a video out on the day, but internet was down. Here is it for anyone that might be interested.

As I was once told by a mod himself. If you have a problem with a person or particular post, use the report button instead of getting yourself involved which can lead to further bickering. I have since taken that advice and I think everyone not a mod would do well taking it too.

You aren't taking that advice when you tell others what to do.

I'm really enjoying this challenge. So far my best in any race is 3rd at La Sarthe, but boy am I having fun, the penalties make it really interesting too.

Nice vid buddy. I used the Bentley for a few of them at 695pp to get some extra cash. I'll try the 787B as I'll take any excuse to drive that baby

This is the spirit of the game :):):)

you wont regret it, this car is the bomb.

its great for tsukuba and twin ring motegi. you can also easily finish indy course with this, but top speed seemed to be a bit lagging on the long straight (but you accelerate way faster than competition so still really easy).

for sarth and spa i used the minolta, fully tuned with tranny trick. i didn't use a tune for this car, and even with srf with everything else turned of (except abs on 1) this car was still spinning like a madman. way too hard to control the accelerator on the ds3 imo, im using the right analog for accelerating and braking (triggers for shifting).i think spa took me like 5+ tries to gold it, lol.

Where do you find these points? And because I'm sorta new to the community how do you report somebody? Not that I plan on it or anything, I just want to know.

Report button is the small triangle at the bottom of a post, near the quote button. You can see your points by clicking on your name, and selecting 'infractions'. 30 gets you banned.

Don't know what you were doing wrong

Long story...

great seasonal, first won with the 2J on Tsukaba!

Now in a Bentey with Prainano tune, trying to beat a C60 hybrid on Spa. Quite a challenge, i keep getting penalties while overtaking slow cars..

If you can't afford the 2J, you should use the Escudo Dirt Trial car (736pp)
Got an easy win on tsukuba with that one

Sauber Mercedes did it for me.
@slow cars, try to overtake them at the straights/just before a corner

I used the Minolta for tsukuba, haven't done any others. had to turn traction control to 1, even with srf. I can usually control the rear wheels on my ds3 (r2) but this car was too much beast for me, no matter how easy I was on the accelerator. Abs 1, no asm. Pretty easy driving after that.

Tell me about it :(. I worked my butt off to get that, I wanted to throw the controller after I saw that.

Well done Reaper.  Try the "Johnny Herbert Challenge" - 787B at Sarthe in cockpit view. Great fun. Great Drive.

yeah i think if you want to use this car without srf and no tc you have to have a tune, especially on ds3. the initial torque is probably way too high normally.

Was able to Gold it with the Minolta, TCS 5, ABS 1, don't remember the rest of my setup, though.

Edit: What's the weakest car that actually stands a chance at this? I could use some extra credits.

2j would be the best for credits:tup:

Wow! After coming 3rd with the Minolta Toyota 88C-V and the Jaguar XJR-9 I swapped to the Sauber Mercedes C-9 and won easily with a best lap of 3 23.727. I changed the oil and fitted the High Turbo to the Sauber and performed the tranny trick setting top right top speed to 270mph with the final gear then closed up the gears slightly to get optimal gear changes with the top gear lifted slightly as the last gear going up was coming in a little too high in the rev range to give the best acceleration.
LSD was 6-24-30.
Bottom right top speed to 149.
1st 2.663, 2nd 1.785, 3rd 1.270, 4th to 0.960 and 5th to 0.769.
Final gear was 3.252 and the gearing was spot on, using 1st in the slowest corners and just touching the limiter on the first part of the Mulsanne straight as, on lap 3, I passed a Minolta Toyota 88C-V for the lead just before my braking point.
Front and rear aero was set to maximum.
I changed camber to 1.6 front and 1.2 rear. No other changes to suspension.
Brake were at 9 front and 7 rear, which enables the car to brake hard in a curve without locking up or spinning the car.
Traction was set to 1 and ABS to 1, Active Steering and ASM were left off.

The car handles beautifully and is a joy to drive with my DFGT.

Even with my incurring three penalties for running wide and a spin in the complex at the start of lap one, while trying for tenth place, the car is well capable of winning this race. Great fun and I'm really looking forward to SPA next, I'm leaving the dreaded Tuskuba until last.

Used the Sauber for Spa then the dlc Jag XJR9 for the rest - had to make tranny and suspension adjustments going between Tsukuba and Sarthe!!! The Jag is more stable but the Sauber is quicker.
