Took first in all with a stock 787B. Only adjustment was adjusted tranny for Sarthe. No aids/ABS B/B of 4/1, cockpit cam. It's a great car even with no adjusting. Got another 787B for the prize! Even with SRF, I was able to get loose if I wasn't careful.

Used Escudo for Tsukuba and Motegi & the Pescaralo Hybrid for the rest. Loads of fun :)

escudo easily smokes the competition in these 2 races. even indy was pretty eay with escudo. sarth and spa needs real LMP's or maybe an f1.

Won first four races, but now I am having trouble with SPA. Not sure which car to use. Tried couple of LMP's and I think that maybe C9 is the car to use. I still didn't tried Bentley. I'll give it a try. Any thought about which LMP to use?

The Minolta or Bentley seem to be the better choices

I tuned a C9 to each track and won all five, then went back and used a tuned BMW V12 and won them all with that. Next is a Bentley!

Used Audi R8 Race Car '01.
Tsukuba 650PP
Indy Road Course 650PP
Circuit de la Sarthe 686PP
Twin Ring Motegi 645PP
Spa-Francorbhamps 660PP

Didn't give even effort so the PPs are only a rough indication of relative difficulty, but Sarthe should require highest PP, then Spa.

You could do better with Chapparel 2J of course, but I didn't feel like using it. Other cars may be a bit better for low PP, but who's to say?

I'm hardly someone you should take tuning advise from, but if you're wondering, I raised camber to 1.0f, 0.8r, reduced aero to around halfway between min and default for most (used min aero for Sarthe), and limited PP with engine limiter.

At one point after doing Spa @675PP I tried for 665PP. It was looking close, but it was looking just out of reach as I approached the final two turns, so I knew I had to push hard. I couldn't make it though, it was just too much, I ended up with a 5 sec ramming penalty as I recall, and first got away. It was just as I was crossing the finish line that I looked up, and realized I still had a lap to go...

I thought I'd have go at doing them all in the Escudo. Tskuba, Indy and Motegi were a doddle, Spa took a few attempts but La Sarthe is proving impossible. I've lengthened the gears and dropped the aero to minimum and it just runs out of steam at about 200mph, at bit more with drafting. I can get into fifth place but then cant catch the next one and just drop back from the leader. I had to give up and resort to the C60 Hybride, even then it wasn't that easy. If anyone can do it in the Escudo I'll buy them a pint.

Today is my birthday and for my birthday ticket I I received what may be the slowest car in the game, the Subaru 360 '58. Thanks PD, really appreciate it.

Spent all my money on the Mazda and a turbo, still struggling on Sarthe. Does anyone have a tune they warmly suggest for that car on that track? In the video oink posted, his maxspeed was only like 220, but I don't stand a chance :/ I also have the minolta if thats a better pick.

I quite liked the inclusion of Tsukuba for an LMP race - reminded me of the GT4 challenge when you had to beat a time using the Speed 8 in the wet. I'd love to have a rain option for Tsukuba again - maybe in GT6...

It also seemed like the cars were really small when watching them drive around. I mean when you're driving MX-5s around, it can get tight when abreast of another car. On that basis I'd have thought those LMP monsters would have been impossible to pass at certain points due to track width. In the run up to the start though, my Audi looked almost like a RC model :sly:

I do have to laugh at all of the advice to use the top cars that always 'destroy the competition' such as the Minolta or Speed 8. Nice to see a few trying out different cars too.

I think the 2J payout has been doctored by PD to wean off those dependant on it for an easy win - low pay out means maybe people will try out some of the other thousand plus cars available to them :)

I tried a lot of different cars and while many of them can win, the one that I found that was the easiest to win all of the tracks with was the krenkme/Clueless Tunes Escudo.

It does take a little bit of an adjustment period, but so did all of the cars that I tried (roughly 12 different cars). Once you get the hang of this car, you can push it hard.

It may not seem like there's enough top end speed for Le Mans/Sarthe. You will hit the limit on the straights very quickly, but the car makes up for it so much in the corners that it won't matter. I passed the rabbit right after the fifth lap started and I was not even driving my best.

The rest of the tracks are pretty easy with it. I was able to pass the rabbit on Spa by the start of the 4th lap and if I remember correctly I was in the lead on the third lap on the rest of tracks.

He did a nice job of tuning this beast of a car and you can really drive it hard, once you get used to how it handles. I highly recommend it.

Looks like I owe you a pint. I couldn't crack La Sarthe, but I was running it stock except for a turbo and adjusting the gears and aero. I'll have to have another go with the tune now. It's a great little car though, my favourite LMP killer.

Thanks as always my friend 👍

:lol:... it's my tune, and I can't stop getting penalties to win with it :dopey:

Must practice more

i didn't need a tune to win with the escudo, but i didn't do spa or sarth with it either (minolta).

Having golded all the races with a Sauber C9 and then a BMW V12 LMR I'm now campaigning a Bentley, with only Tsukuba to go. I'm sure it can win there too.

Keeping coming in second on Tskuba with the Escudo. It is one of my best tracks and I like the car, but I am definitely over driving it. Sometimes the ones you know are easy are frustrating enough to not be.

I'll have to check the tune on it because it may be setup poorly.

Motegi was gold'd easily with it - I'll probably use my 908 on everything else(should be up to it, right?)

Same problem here, it piss me off i tried 4 times now, nothing.

Wow! After coming 3rd with the Minolta Toyota 88C-V and the Jaguar XJR-9 I swapped to the Sauber Mercedes C-9 and won easily with a best lap of 3 23.727. I changed the oil and fitted the High Turbo to the Sauber and performed the tranny trick setting top right top speed to 270mph with the final gear then closed up the gears slightly to get optimal gear changes with the top gear lifted slightly as the last gear going up was coming in a little too high in the rev range to give the best acceleration.
LSD was 6-24-30.
Bottom right top speed to 149.
1st 2.663, 2nd 1.785, 3rd 1.270, 4th to 0.960 and 5th to 0.769.
Final gear was 3.252 and the gearing was spot on, using 1st in the slowest corners and just touching the limiter on the first part of the Mulsanne straight as, on lap 3, I passed a Minolta Toyota 88C-V for the lead just before my braking point.
Front and rear aero was set to maximum.
I changed camber to 1.6 front and 1.2 rear. No other changes to suspension.
Brake were at 9 front and 7 rear, which enables the car to brake hard in a curve without locking up or spinning the car.
Traction was set to 1 and ABS to 1, Active Steering and ASM were left off.

The car handles beautifully and is a joy to drive with my DFGT.

Even with my incurring three penalties for running wide and a spin in the complex at the start of lap one, while trying for tenth place, the car is well capable of winning this race. Great fun and I'm really looking forward to SPA next, I'm leaving the dreaded Tuskuba until last.

This worked for me 👍

Thanks:)
