It's OKAY if you arrive late. The qualifying/grid order really is not very relevant in these draft battles, I think.
It took my internet (which is good) about 10 minutes maybe... ?
The update scared me because it was taking a game save file from "back-up"...
But it was all okay when I opened the game - all was as I had left it exactly.

About the results of the first race: The game credited me with the win by 0.005 seconds. When I took at that replay, it looked like Street-King-07 beat me by 1/6 of a Cube length and I only completed the pass after the finish line. You might want to look at all the finishes real close to double check everything.
I don't know if you're going to go by what the game says, or by what it looks like. It is iffy with the course creator tracks. In the replay it looks like Street-King is ahead at the finish line, but I'm ahead at the board just after the line and maybe that board is what the game was considering the line to be. Anyway, it looks like Street-King deserves that win.
By the way, I'm still using Beam Gray Pearl for the event tomorrow, if you want to update that in the OP. Also, let me know if you want the Cube back after the event.

Hi, I would like to race tomorrow but I dont have the cube. If I can it I plan on using the color brilliant black. Installing the update now and i will send fr to VCRC.

THURSDAY RESULTS
Yes, clearly it looks in replay & photomodes that Audiman2011 / Street-King-07's car was over the finish line ahead of Peelster1.
Penalties:
watermelonpunch - -1pts - Race #1 - for weaving into Peel near the finish line
(I don't think I realized how close we were!)
Sonygamer455 - -2pts - Race #1 & Race #5 - for getting nutty in the draft & failing to make contact concessions to tezgm99 (I think that's who was hit).
(It looked like the chrome car had nitrous tank there at one point! LOL)
I have to say I really enjoyed watching the replays. Much of them were quite hilarious.

I did hang back to wait for him though - and 1 more lap in the race & we might have caught up to the front of the grid!
With all the fellow travelers we picked up on our train on the way.

Race #5: @ Victory Hunter Speedway (Toscana tarmac)
I guess I was taking that turn so conservatively that I didn't even know there was an actual JUMP in the track.
cobrius caught a lucky break there when tezgm99 hit the armco & bounced out of the way in the nick of time!
There were several cubes which took issue with that armco!

And it looks like everyone was still pretty close at the end, despite some mishaps.

Racing was very close yesterday and hugely fun. Looking forward to doing it again tonight.
@melon: The incident at Indy was entirely not your fault. As I said in the lobby, my wheel decided to recalibrate itself meaning I had no steering or throttle control. It was just extremely unfortunate that it happened right before Turn 3.

I am ready for this today, but my Cube is not.
Nothing that a trip to GTAuto can't fix, I hope. 
Racing was very close yesterday and hugely fun. Looking forward to doing it again tonight.

I remember you mentioning this in the lounge... but didn't know you were talking about that incident! All I knew was that I got boxed in a bit, bumped thinking I was bump drafting, and then you immediately crushed into the wall.
Still I find trying to catch back up to be quite exciting & fun!! So it was no harm done. 👍

I was looking at the points and it seems like cobrius should have 27 instead of 22. You did a great job hosting yesterday and it was loads of fun! I can't wait for the race tonight! Oh, by the way. You really didn't nudge me at the finish of Race 1. I was just trying to get as close as I could so I could catch Audiman's draft.

Hope you keep bicarbonate of soda on hand!! That's the only thing that works for me. My mother had me get this syrup levulose & phosphoric acid stuff.

I was tabulating before finishing my 1st cup of coffee this morning. But the fact is I should have a proofreader at all times. 
I'm glad everyone seemed to have some good laughs and it was pretty exciting at times. Especially some of what I saw in the replays!
I love watching replays to see what was going on around the track where I wasn't.
Anyway in the replay I looked like I was rolling about toward the finish line like a drunken sailor in race #1.
Probably because I had too much coffee yesterday. (You see a pattern here?

Sick nik made it to the races and it was hella fun My sickness really found the perfect time to stop bothering me.
Don't think I'm in contention for the top spot after my stupid driving in the last race but it was great fun anyway. Cubes on ovals are still the greatest.

Race #1 @ Made Up Speedway (Eifel circuit)
watermelonpunch (wat3rm370n) & Peelster1 collide
watermelonpunch (wat3rm370n)'s movements caused the collision, pushing Peelster1 off track.
(Personal note: My cube had gotten loose & unsettled in the turn. It was simple case of confusion & poor judgement on my part. I didn't know I'd pushed Peelster1 off track until I saw him mowing the grass in my rear view - something I was checking for after I'd made contact. At which point I slowed.)
watermelonpunch slowed to allow Peelster1 to catch draft and pass, which returned the position for contact concession.
CONCLUSION: It is determined to be a non-penalty race incident.
Race #2 @ Motegi Superspeedway
Aceboy127 & Peelster1 collide.
Both having made movements to change lines to get behind Phouchg (xNikodemusx). Both cars were changing lines where an open line did not exist to fit 2 cubes. If neither had turned, the contact would not have happened. If only one of the drivers turned in, that one would be at fault.
But both made equal movement toward each other.
CONCLUSION: It is determined to have been a mutual collision accident, and no penalty is warranted.
Race #3 @ Daytona Superspeedway
AudiMan2011 (Street-King-07) & Aceboy127 collide.
AudiMan2011 (Street-King-07)'s movement left to follow in draft of Phouchg (xNikodemusx) as he moved to the left on the track, cut into the front end of Aceboy127's Cube, without sufficient clearance and caused a nose clipping which resulted in AudiMan2011 (Street-King-07)'s car being unsettled from behind.
Iit could've been avoided if Aceboy127 had exercised more caution the turn in point & backed off a bit, since he (Ace) did not have substantial overlap and it was within a turning point . However, this is an oval, and the collision could also have been avoided by Audiman2011 not following Phouchg's draft without paying mind to other cars around.
CONCLUSION: It is determined to have been a mutual collision accident, and no penalty is warranted.

Certainly nobody gained by this huge accident.
(Personal note: I followed Phouchg right into the armco, and then somehow thought I was going to pull off not creating an obstruction in the track & spinning out further or hitting Ace or Fles, I steered wide, only to hit Phouchg again. Very poor decisions on my part. Aceboy127 led the way into the armco, Phouchg followed, I followed too. Aceboy127 was the least at fault I think, but as he was also the least effected, it was mainly just a huge accident.)
CONCLUSION: It is determined to be a non-penalty race incident.
The collisions at Motegi & Daytona & Victory Hunter are EXCELLENT examples of one of the biggest dangers for collisions & race incidents on ovals...
Tunnel Vision in the Draft.
If the car you are behind decides to change positions & move in front of the car aside you, that is the right & prerogative of the ahead car to make that decision.
And if you push into the aside car to maintain your draft, you do so at the risk of causing a race incident which may seriously detrimentally effect your race.
And of course, following another car off track or into a wall is something that happens on any track because of Tunnel Vision in the Draft..

It's awesome to finally taste glory for once in my first overall event win. Peelster, Ace and Phouchg all fought really hard with me throughout all those races but it was all really great fun.

Yes this was fun, and now I'm thinking of another "fun event" to do, because this was so entertaining, and I really like entertaining events that are a bit silly.
@ Phouchg - your accident in the last race probably wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't have an early onset senior moment there.
I would be embarrassed to think of others watching the replay of that. ha ha ha
My husband was watching me during that race, and when I plowed off-road into the yellow car, he said, "Why on earth did you do THAT?" (like as if I'd do something so kooky with some kind of purpose )
