Opens at around 7 45pm BST. Will be open until at least 9.

Infiniti seems to be slow here, 6 tenths behind the Mazda in the final sector alone, but keeps to a couple of tenths over the first two. It seems to be about 5MPH slower in the final hairpin, I'd say due to wheelbase. I'd imagine the Golf and Pug are hella fast through there.

Seems kinda weird, may be difficult to overtake until the FWD tyre wear kicks in.

For me in the Mini last season that never happened ;). Tyre wear on some aren't really that bad, if you know how to tune the FFs to counter-act it :P. (Which seemingly I do :D)

The twisty tracks are the Infiniti's weakness. I know exactly what you mean.

T8CA OFFICIAL SEASON PREVIEW:

PART 1: The Teams

Team RPM - Volkswagen

TOCA's longest-established team has a new line up following Spurgy leaving the series. Smuffy got unbelievable pace out of a BMW that was frequently off pace in the past two seasons and has looked right at home in the new Volkswagen Golf, near the top of the timesheets in every test. Team boss Furinkazen will be driving as usual, and hoping to continue his strong surge in form that resulted in him breaking a near-3 season winless streak at Indianapolis. He will need to put a stop to his bad weeks if RPM are to keep at the top in a very strong team's championship.

Invicta Racing Team - Peugeot

Peugeot's TOCA debut is spearheaded by Tom Brooks' Invicta Racing Team. A season in the Audi was a mixed bag, with some strong performances and weak runs every weekend. Much will depend on if they can get the full potential out of the 207, but they have one thing on their side - stability in the driver department. O'Rama had a strong run to 6th place overall last season whilst team boss Tom was a top 12 runner when he did race last season. Expect a make or break season for the whole team.

Avalanche Motorsports - Honda

The reworked Honda Civic is proving a major threat to the TOCA regulars in testing, and this line up has potential. Snowcrash leaves his independent Mazda for setting up this new team, having been a front runner all last season. He is joined by Cnd, who in his first season showed some savage pace coupled with some poor errors that bought him under attemtion of race stewards too many times. If he can tame that, there might be a winning combination in this team.

BGR - Ford

An Anglo-German line up heads Ford's TOCA return. After taking Independents honours the year before, ChrisJohnson's season was a disaster with the unwieldy Honda CRZ that resulted in a distant 10th place finish overall. Sakery in his second TOCA season showed in the little Mini and always pushed hard. Testing pace looks good for the team, and providing they gel it might be a fruitful season for BGR.

Crack Smoking Monkeys - Infiniti

CSM are a new name but with a couple old TOCA hands - Akmuq and Gokartman. Akmuq's season only lasted 1 qualifying event at Cape Ring when he was wiped out by a damaged Honda, but he will be wanting to banish memories of that. Signing Gokartman is a strong move - one of the fastest on his day and a race winner. The Infiniti's a proven package (see it scooping last season's drivers and team's titles), and overall this looks a strong squad for the upcoming season.

Prower Performance - Audi

Sometime TOCA racer Atin sets up a new team and becomes Audi's factory squad. The Audi was arguably the fastest car end of last season and has shown some rapid testing pace. Atin can challenge for wins, but what has the paddock talking is the arrival of a second car for Twissy, an experienced race winner in many series often compared to Spurgy. This squad just may be a dark horse at the very least for the championship.

OAP Motorsports - Volkswagen

A new team, and the second Volkswagen outfit, OAP Motorsports are fronted by ex-BMW driver Conbon. Not much known about the team, and there second driver Mazza is a TOCA rookie. Conbon can be a quick driver and set up a car well. However, a lack of track time for both drivers will probably have a negative impact on there fortunes this season.
