Additional notes:

So, we learned a lot yesterday. And had a lot of fun.

Guys, you all did the most realistic race the "driving simulator" is capabale of!

Hope to see you all next Sunday in SUNNY Monaco!

More than 40% water on track @ Start (after Q):

-WET RACE is decleared by the RACE DIRECTOR.
-Race will be started from starting grid as any normal race, BUT as a PARADE LAP.
(so we can check if everyone has the correct tyres - or if we have a glitchy room)
-Wrong tires will be changed by pitstop at the End of the Parade Lap.
-The Fastest Qualifier (Leader) will wait until everybody has correct tyres.
-The grid has to line up behind the leader in same position as the Q result.
-Then the RACE DIRECTOR will give the "GO!" message.
-The Fastest Qualifier (Leader) will lead the grid into the race.
-Overtaking is allowed only after the first time split.

Additional notes:

These added steps will only complicate things. Remember how difficult getting lined up for restarts in Immortal's league was. I see no reason to add anymore complication.

I'm not sure what this tire bug is all about. One thing I can say is; don't rely on the replay to accurately tell you anything aside from your own tire selection during the race.

@Tire Bug/ glitch @ Normanby Park race:
At the start of this race the game used the tires from the last car setup that was set BEFORE the lobby was entered!( for example "racing soft")
And NOT the last change done IN the lobby! (for example canging to "rain tires" because of the weather)

So how could that be, because in our case all tires looked like rain tires at the start?

Explanation:
You enter the lobby and you car has set for example "racing soft".
(Because that's the tires you set when you last used the car.)
Then due to weather influence you change to a different tire.
For example "rain tire".

Now it would be logical to think that the game will take your chosen tire and let you start with that.

Here is the bug/glitch that happened in our race:
(not shure if that happens all the time)
Visually the tires are "rain tires" but the griplevel is the one from the setting when you entered the lobby!

So,how do we know?
Not from the replay.
(We know that it is not showing the right tires.)

I (CasNuerburg) entered with "racing soft", and changed during Q to "rain tire".
MonSpaNur was late for Q and before going to track changed his settings to "rain tire".

MonSpaNur had grip, I had none. But we both had visually rain tires on our cars.

As mentioned above, we are working on that.

All being well, I should be able to race Laguna Seca on Sunday. And if enough people show up and we start at 9pm GMT then I might put the race on my vidi stream.

Monaco is next Sunday 4/21. Then Laguna Seca the following week.

The 20 minutes qualify start at the defined time in the regulations, 21.00 UTC (or GMT+0).

England is at GMT+1 time zone at moment (virtually), so that´s mean the qualify start at 22.00 (and the race at 22.20) for the people living there.

Mon and I had a long meeting today (voice chat in lobby), where we concluded that, although the regulations are correct and we are keen to leave them as they stand at the moment, probably they need some very little tweaks (minimal and without changing their meaning), in order to make them clearer and, also, easier to enforce.
A final decision on that regard will be taken in the next few days.

Also, the proceedings for certain circumstances, mainly regarding wet races, will be sorted and posted as soon as possible.

The championship will proceed at Monaco as planned.

So much for moving the start foward an hour from IMO's series. I never came across UTC whatever that is, until i visited GTPlanet.

Cas's race starts one hour earlier than Immortal's (after daylight savings hit US). UTC is Coordinated Universal Time.

Yes, that`s what UTC mean and, apparently, is equal to GMT+0 (I never come across a UTC+/- any number, so I believe that UTC is not a time zone but a time reference).

For us living in England, the races start at IMMORTAL`s tuned championship scheduled time (as you known, usually they started 30/45 minutes later) and without delays (unless we hit net troubles like happened in the last race, who we started with a 3 minutes delay).

So, in practical terms, we are starting at a average of 35 minutes early that we used to do at IMMORTAL`s races.

I did indeed scim through posts and missed you all say its Monte Carlo. DERP!

Talk about skim; it's a 4 page thread. It was mentioned at least twice to make sure you noticed. I know tomorrow is a big day, but lay off it till then. :dopey: Maybe tomorrow is not a UK holiday.

yesterday was my 1st endurance at Monaco . 1thing i can say is , i Loved it .
after a few laps i felt like i was in a big tunnel , where my car was similar to a train on his way , then i bumped a wall & after that it felt more like sliding between the walls .

Also another thing that is getting better and better is the blue flags , no one ignored them !

Here's the setup i was using :
downforce 150 200

LSD 5 5 20

suspension 20 20 1.6 0.7
1 1 -0.30 +0.40
1 1
1 1
i shortened the gearbox to approximatively 310km/h ,
i think i'll be using almost the same setup at Laguna as the track is pretty similar to monaco , ok i admit there aren't many similarities but if you look good .....

so i hope you all enjoyed the race as much as i did .

See you guys on track , cheers , Aug.

You were driving at an insane speed Aug mate. A very well done to you. And Big-up Tool for being a true gentleman racer and letting me back past after taking me out. I suppose its hard not to take someone out here when trying to overtake. Anyway I forgive you.

I wonder if IMO will get his amazing series back up and running now, now we have a new update. If he does then Id like to thank CAS and MON for getting something sorted for us that love to drive. If not then full speed ahead. And get rid of the bloody homemade tracks once and for all. I understand the point about them being a whole new challenge and that but yeah,, their not always enjoyable to drive.

I got iRacing yesterday and it had a series going at Laguna in them MX5s. I know its a new ball game compared to the F10 but I think im ready.

thanks gazziboy .
about the homemade tracks , i love them as it's new challenge to discover them .
i'm kind of boried of all the old gt5 tracks , so new homemade track are just lovely to me .
i really enjoy them because i like to get the "best" out of that F10 and out of myself , so new tracks are perfect therefor to me :)

@Gazziboy:
Thank you.We will go full ahead.

@DrAug:
Thank you. Also thanks for the setup, works well in Laguna.

@Next Race on Sunday In Laguna Seca:
I hosted two free lobbys up to now there.
Best laptime was 1.02,6..

hey , iasked TURTLE racing league (F10 AND F7 LEAGUE) if they could join our races .
they run thursday , we run sunday .
both of our groups have same problem which is not many people showing up , so maybe if we do their races they could join our league .
the main problem is , they are american so i think the time we start ll be another problem but let's just try it :)
could be great to have few more members running

i don't know what you guys think about that , but they race at late night for us , but maybe , who knows we can find a way to enjoy our both leagues :)
Cas & Mon you're he bosses so i don't know yet what/how we can do :)

No setting up the cars with ABS and 7pm eastern (about 3 or 4 in the morning for EU people)

Where are all the other players who said they would play? Im guessing they have no interest after the break up.

I cant speak myself. Sorry for not playing last night. I wasnt enjoying the new stiffer feel on my DFGT. I just need to give it time during the week. Hopefully the midweek posse are on the track otherwise I'll be a sad panda.

Hi Guys!

Sorry for yesterday!

But just in the middle of the Q my son - how shall I describe it - emptied his stomach into his bed.

And my wife was certain he would die....

So I had to leave and calm both down. And clean the mess up.

BTW: this morning all is well again....

What a shame , because I really liked the track, and had a good setup.

Nope man. I have FFB set to 1 tho.

try with assisted driving , it helps i think , your wheel ll feel less stiff & it'll be easier to go right left very quickly or to save the car from losing it ^^
