If it's in warranty, wait and speak with Logitech. They like to replace if there is a mechanical problem. If it's out of warranty, take it apart and check the gears. See if you have broken one or they might just need a little lubrication.

So after looking around the web, this is apparently a problem that occurs to almost all g27's after a while. Mine happened after only five months. It's because the bearings for the two motors are badly engineered. I am still racing tomorrow night and speaking to logitech on Monday.

Your ability to use the principle of autosuggestion will depend, very largely, upon your capacity to concentrate upon a given desire until that desire becomes a burning obsession.

Napoleon Hill

It is surely a great calamity for a human being to have no obsessions.

Robert Bly

What was your ignition source? What event in your life planted the automotive seed? There are many reasons we all come here. For some it is an escape. For others it is the competition. There are friendships and rivalries. It is a game, a social outlet and for some it can be a source of absolute frustration or pure heaven. The reasons we all come here are as varied as our personalities and backgrounds. The single common denominator is everyone's obsession with cars. Although there are varying degrees of that obsession, we all have it. It is why we continue to purchase every incarnation of Gran Turismo and line up on the grid every week.

Another great Pit Board Exo 👍 Thank You!

My ignition source was drag racing. I love the raw power involved in getting a vehicle from a standing start to 300+ mph in less than 4 seconds. Makes my hair stand on end, at least what's left of it

Through my teen years, cars were often a topic of conversation with friends. A few of my friends have had some pretty amazing cars, '66 Chevelle with a blown LS7, talk about head snapper. Another had a Datsun 240Z with a Chev 350. I've never owned anything exotic, but, one of my favourites was a non-descript 1973 Chevrolet Nova, 350, 4 bbl carb, headers, rims and tires. Was a fun car for the few years I had it.

I've always had an interest in cars and racing, but it's really only recently blossomed. I've started following F1 and Indy Cars and will watch just about any type of car racing on T.V. Driving games started with F1 2010 and has gone to the obsession level with GT5.

Rock on S.N.A.I.L.s

Great edition of The Pit Board, Exo! I had no idea you were such a big Speed Racer fan. I need to snap a picture of all my Speed Racer toys I have on display at my parents house (childhood home). I've got quite the collection, especially of various Mach 5 models and collectibles. :)

That would be awesome! Yea, Speed and the gang have always been a favorite. Back in the early '70's there just weren't collectables like there are these days. I have a couple of Mach 5's stored somewhere. I still remember when I won the TV and got to watch. I always felt so bummed out when it was over.

hi, im requesting for a car in round two. cant seem to fined the lotus at the dealers or used.

Hey kikoe,

Go the the new car dealership and buy the Lotus Elise '96. Then take it to the Maintenance area (where you change oil) and do a Race Modification (RM) on it. Good to go.

EDIT: Ninja'd by goat!

Yup. Same here. This is exactly what happened to me Thursday and I'm also calling them Monday, but mine lasted a year and a half. What do you usually have your ffb set at?

I would like to rejoin the league....what's next?

Hi JasRum,

Thanks for your interest!
We would love to have you in the league. Here's what's next:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You run the Time Trial. (NOTE: The tires selected for this have more grip than our current tire regulations allow, but please follow the directions exactly anyways).
2. You PM kcheeb with your time from the time trial (no Sunday racing until this is completed).
3. We assign you to the division that we feel will give you the closest competition. kcheeb will add you to the drivers list.
4. We send you a you a PSN friend request from the corresponding SNAIL_Division1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 account. That PSN account's lounge is where you will race on Sunday night.
5. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

The original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

Please note that we often race DLC from three add-on packs:

Racing Car Pack
Course Pack
Twin Ring Motegi Pack

If you don't have these add-on packs, you will need to sit out the races in which they are used.

If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.
To avoid duplication, the currently claimed combinations can be found here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.

Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

thanks for that (dehhh):dunce:

Just want to let everyone know I'm caddying for my brother in his club championships today, so will be unavailable until later this afternoon.

Should be back in plenty of time to deal with any issues, questions or concerns 👍

Good Luck! Keep it in the short grass:)

And watch out for those damn gophers and crazy grounds keepers!

Hey guys, I was home last night and jumped into SNAIL SPEC Racing. If you like longer races (64 laps at Daytona Road last night) you will find it a blast. It's a great format and great car (Chevrolet Corvette ZR1(C6) Race Modified). No boost 👍 , but we have 2 caution periods the allows cars to unlap themselves. Great racing event that everyone should check out. Most fun I've had racing in a long time.

Oshawa, another thing i would love to do would be a "classic" league.
Cars from 1965 to 1979, tuned to a limited pp and every racer would register 1 car and use that 1 car throughout the whole championship.
Oh.... and would be "sedans" only

Hey, i was wondering if my friend toyotaracing75 could join D5 tonight :). He is a very good gamer, but the problem is that, he doesnt have a gtplanet account, and cant make one because he doesnt have a PC. He haves all the cars for tonight and practiced with me yesterday. Can he join D5 tonight???

albteman015

That's why mine lasted longer then. I usually have it set around six, but recently have been on eight.

Also, I probably won't be racing tonight. A friend called and said he's got extra rehab tickets and I love me some rehab.

At a minimum he will have to do the time trail so he can be placed in the appropriate division. But having a gtplanet account is kind of necessary to race with us. He will have to be able to respond to and penalties that might get levied against him, or to file a complaint. If he's plans on sticking around he will definitely have to have an account. I'll let cheeb or zer0 follow up if he only wants to race for this Sunday. But he will have to do the time trial. No offense but divisional placement is about skill and getting people racing against like skilled individuals, not friendship.

Does he have a smart phone? If so get the app. If not see below.

He could use the PS3 web browser and sign up to GTP there. Have him make a gmail account. Then go to GTPlanet and sign up. :)

Reminder:

Tomorrow, Monday is S.N.A.I.L PP Cap racing!!!

If you thought about joining and just not sure what's going on. It's really simple. Looks slightly complex at first. However it is truly a simple process and produces some exciting racing.

This week the Cap is 2000pp on Sport Softs. So you select a FF, FR, MR, & AWD car that their PP totals 2000pp or under.

The Average is 500pp with 450pp being lowest you can choose and 550pp the highest.

Tons of cars to select from. Now is the time to jump in and join a great series!

Hope some you decide to do so. As well if you want to simply copy others line ups that is ok. As you get more familiar. You can build your own. ;)
