Steward's Comments:
Take in the last of the late summer Mediterranean sun in this smooth driving 7-speed convertible. This V-8 powered prancing pony packs some punch with smooth acceleration equal to that of the fabulous Ferrari F430. The standard carbon-ceramic brakes are definitely put to the test on this circuit with it's long and heavy brake zones. You'll only experience the first 6 gears during your solo laps so if you want to try out the final gear, join us online on Oct 2nd where 7th will serve as an overdrive, perfect for draft induced overtakes. Enjoy another racing combo courtesy of Italy, but don't forget to apply sunscreen, SPF 136 recommended.

Viewing Your Time Splits:
  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'
  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While Viewing Your Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times
  • To post your T1 & T2 Splits, simply post the sector times that are shown in the live timing monitor.
  • The WRS Fetchbot has been updated and will now add your splits together!

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

  • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.

    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track.
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind.We will know.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Save your best lap/ghost replay

Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Loving this combo so far! About 5 laps in:

34.319
40.914

think there is about .3 or .4 left on the lap

----

scratch that, just found .7 at the line... seems the quicker you go the more time there is to find

34.103
40.705

oh yeah, using 6/5 BB and haven't broken in the car yet

---------------

car is broken in now:

33.994
40.663

aiming for another .4 at the line

First run, 469 bhp

T1-34.076
T2-40.584

Saw a .2 T2 lap before but messed up last sector

Second sesh,
T1-33.949
T2-40.541

Think there could possibly a 1"13 by T2 but will take a fair bit of practice.

I'm out - looks like my PS3 has died. Won't read the GT5 disc. Given the the disc hasn't bee out of the machine since launch day it's not a disc issue, so seems that the Blu-Ray drive is shot...

Look like a sweet combo! :( been too busy at the job in the past few weeks, and will be for a few weeks as well, starting to miss playing GT5 and WRS.

Didn't realize my preceding T1 was that good... I'm having a hard time matching it, don't know if it'll happen again.

34.248
41.372

Gained mostly in T3.

I got a quick 5 laps in this evening after Zonda practice. The best lap was...

Al

34.616
41.771

Great job Manu and Patrick boxing me in around T2. 👍

20 laps tonight before Zonda R practice found me 0.1 at T2 and 0.2 in T3. :)
The car being mostly broken-in helps.

I was using a rear brake bias, but Caine's 6/5 seems to work great.

34.141
40.978

Nice time Lucus 👍 I'm struggling to find a consistent sector 1 and match it all the way to the end of the lap.

34.199
40.952

Better finish, looking for about 3 tenths overall

33.924
40.506

still .2 to find by T2, and another .2 in t3 I think

Whats the secret in T2, I don't know where Im going wrong around there

Probably the chicane and the 2 Lesmos. :sly::dunce:

Nice job, Tim, and thanks for continuing to share BB. 👍

Haha, I figure Im losing time in the chicane, I've gone faster there but it was dirty, by a small margin. the two lesmos I think Im starting to get them

My tactic is brake early, and get on the power early. You need to be super smooth, if you can stop the car from sliding, you should be able to go full throttle pretty much immediately. The main places to gain time is all on the straights, the short run from the chicane down to Lesmo 1, Lesmo 1 - 2, and Lesmo 2 - Ascari being the main one. So focus on getting good exit speeds from those corners.. well pretty much every corner here

Ahh okay, cheers 👍 I'll try that tomorrow or so, haven't tried 4/7 ill try that too, thanks for sharing

I'm still experimenting with BB, so don't rely on it too much

6/5 was good for getting braking markers sorted out, but I feel a rear bias is needed to get the turn in required to keep the speed through the chicanes. I've tried 5/6 -- 4/6 and 4/7, with 4/7 getting my fastest clean lap. But I haven't decided which one I feel more comfortable with.

6/5 for me I felt I had to brake my wheel for the car to turn in so I opted for a rearwards BB I was using 3/5 which is okay, however 4/6 gave me a good sector 1 but not sector 2 and 3, maybe Ill start switching BB midlap and see what happens.

It's really been some time since I did one of these time trials. I really do love this track though, so figured I'd come back to embarrass myself again :D

Some early splits:
34.327
40.649

Think I'm done for tonight. Managed to get sector 1 into 33s, but can't quite replicate the lower sector 2...Hmp. New splits:
33.965
40.988
