So a while back, when I was 16 or 17 maybe, I noticed the BMW e30 as a potentially really cool car; I was at the age where considering a real car for myself to own and drive and tune and race became more and more real. Before this, I had only really considered an S13 240SX, because I, together with a close friend of mine, had just discovered the great little bit of affordable RWD market that this Nissan occupied. Having this great friend of mine to discuss cars with was a great outlet for me, as we couldn't really talk about our shared passion with anyone else at the time. Our paths split in many ways. Once he graduated, he climbed the mechanics' ranks and now is works full-time at a Honda shop, part times as a mechanic for some rich dude's C5 racecar on weekends and tracks his own R32 GT-R. I've gone a different route, pursuing my dream as a car designer, studying 500 miles away from home, hemorrhaging expenses, with not even a bus pass to call my transportation.
Times have passed, we're still good buddies and all, and he's coming here to see the local auto show this weekend. This coincided with a pretty sweet thread I found on VWVortex about e30s. The coming of my friend may have also rekindled my desire for an e30, as now I've got the itch to own a car really soon. My driver's license has expired, but that won't stop me from getting another and looking around for a clean 318is. I know it would be a stupid purchase and I could use the money way better elsewhere, but the dream is still there.
In short, here is a pile of e30 pictures I've collected in the last couple of days. Blackbird, I know you've caught a similar disease, so contribute here! The rest of you also, add your own BMW pictures that you've found! Try to keep the shots tasteful or somehow stylistically significantly!
Missing the valences, but still looks extremely badass. Such nice photography. The colour of the car is perfect chrome orange too! This has been my desktop for a while.
I don't mind the 4-doors or the Tourings either!

I'm not crazy about M3s. I know and love them as one of the best sportscars ever, but they're too unattainable for such an attainable car.
This is pretty perfect; Hartge H26
Jumbojet power here
I've always loved yellow heads.
Ballin!
I'm in love with this colour.

Another super clean car:
Cages are badass
Hartgy!
Don't know if it's the red tails or the cleaned up valences, but this is a strangely cool one:
Please excuse the slightly random and pointless nature of this, I'll admit I'm kinda tipsy.
