...

Well that's about all I could find. It appears as if people who own Mercedes don't know how to take a proper picture of one.

Herbie disagrees...

He even beat Porsche 917s!
Herbie was also just a stupid movie (all of them).
Feel free to let us know when Herbie is anywhere as cool as a first gen. M3 anyways.

Now, more BMW pictures!

1) Herbie is not stupid! I loved those movies as a kid, still do. Just imagine if McQueen actually drove Herbie instead of his look-alike
2) Nostalgia and other epicness involved with the Bug make it hella-cool in my book, but that just may be me. I'd love to build a Herbie replica and do the Baja one day.

Well, I fell in love with the E39 M5 the first time I saw it.

But, in terms of my favorite BMW's, its the art cars:

I just learned something new -- the 335i was not the first turbo BMW to be given a false, larger model number in lieu of adding a "turbo" or "t" to the name. That distinction belongs (I believe) to the 1979 E23 745i, with its turbo 3.2/3.4L variant of the M30, producing about 250hp.

Just thought I'd share what I learned in the only thread with people that might give a damn.

I saw that last mercedes in person. They bring it to all the auto shows.

Here's one down the street. I certainly wouldn't mind buying it off him. I can't remember the model, but the day I knew I figured it's a 2.2 I6 (320i ?).

*gasp*

How could I have missed this thread? Mostly I've caught the E28 bug but I have always had a certain love for BMWs (except for their price  ) Also a couple weeks ago I spent two weeks with a good buddy of mine helping him build this e30 from scratch. The purpose of this build was for him and his father to autocross this car. I have other pictures of the suspension and the Hoosiers they use for the autocross. By the way that e30 looks hawt from behind with that kind of camber and Hoosier R comps underneath. Not to mention I was following in none other than my friends E28 whos exhaust is undoubtedly the best sounding straight six i've ever heard. A good day to say the least.

Before anyone asks the upswept exhaust tip was not my idea I personally loathe it and they say they are going to replace it with something else (thank god)

Note: If the images are too big i'll resize them I didn't realize how big they were at first but i'm short on time at the moment.

They also plan to either put an E46 M3 motor in there or a stroker kit. And this is his E28 which I think is pretty nice. (I'm sure i've already had photos of this car on GTP before but whatever this is where the pictures belong) Also these pictures are sort of old. He has a different more low-key exhaust tip now. Not a bold one like that. I like the new one a whole lot more.

The only thing I don't like about his car is the amount of dents he has and how his paint is going south. But he can't afford that right now which I understand.

EDIT: Probably one of the hottest E28s I know of. (Aside from the Alpinas)
