It's a shame that M3s are in two states. Either beaten the crap out of (bad for the next owner) or rotting like that one (bad for the next owner).

At least those who are driving them are doing it properly. I haven't seen an e30 M3 in forever though.

Of an E30? Because that's not an M3.

BTW from the M5Power files...

:D

I don't know what model that is exactly, but I saw a black one on my drive south, and its badges were in the exact same place, and same rims.

The big boxy fenders and skirts are indicative of Mness. Regular e30s have a completely different stance, it is pretty hard to mix them up.

No, I mean the one I saw looked just like the red one you saw.

You probably saw what you saw but people do put M badges on their non M cars all the time. Heck at my vocational school there's a 535is (E28) with an M badge where the M5 badge is on the grill. Same with his E34 has a badge in the back. I don't know why people do it. :dunce:

I don't doubt that. It's just the fact the one I saw was completely like Exige's spot, except it was black. A rare coincidence, I guess.

It's almost weird... I know where one lives around here, and the guy keeps it under a cover all winter, and drives it occasionally in the summer. I've never stopped to take a close look at it, but from the street it looks immaculate. I'm tempted to drop a note in the mail box saying that "If you ever sell it... Contact me". I'd be running to the bank for a loan application before you're finished reading this.

That is super rare. Like I said, they all seem to be in the two mentioned categories. Prices are rising by the day as well.

Tell me about it. :indiff: I hear of late 80s mercedes for going for less than 1500 in good condition. I'm looking for an E28 and in good condition they run at least $3000. :( My budget is $2000

I know we're talking about E30s but E28s rose first and like he said E30s are beginning to rise in price.

That was the last one I saw, and I've played golf since then, to give you a time frame.

I think the car's still sitting there though. :(

I wish the car was for sale instead of rotting like that, and I wish I had the time and money. So I could restore it and drive it instead of letting it sit... and sit. (like my father's mustang  )

Slow night, so I'm updating what I have of my 111 and e30 pictures. Enjoy.

And this random shot I took that I don't think I ever posted elsewhere...

I can't help but wonder if that is an actual BMW model from years gone by, or did someone actually cut a BMW car in half and welded the back end of a compact pick-up truck on?

:odd: Wait, are those Escort wheels?

I'd guess that it was altered by the owner, but not in the fashion you described. A while ago I saw a Camry like that :yuck:

And, even though my sister's just recently bought the Volkswagen Bug (and a pink handbag, to really annoy me), I've still firmly got the Bavarian Bug. I love it!

Either way that BMW truck thing is awesome.

Truck conversions of sports/sporty cars are kinda common. I once read that in some parts of Europe (I don't remember where) it's cheaper to pay taxes on a truck, and these things qualify.

Here's my current M3.
Though it will be getting sold this month.
Not the best feeling in the world, but building a house cost money.

Oh dear Lordy, this thread is just epic. Only just seen it as I've only had a Premium account for like a month or so. E30s are my favourite BMW bar none. So I shall contribute:

A few random ones I've seen on the internet:

Ones that have actually been for sale on ebay in the UK:

Another ebay one, this absolutely mint 318is (my favourite E30 behind the M3) was for sale at just less than £1500. Staggering value for the "baby M3":

And singling this one out because it was so clean - this E30 316i sold for £750. Who cares if it's the base model, that's again amazing value for such a clean car in a desirable colour.

And we can't forget a random Alpina assortment... All B6 models:

Gotta love E36 coupe.. I'm so getting one. and those Zeemax fenders bring a nice E30 M3-style to it.

Agreed. too bad that the complete kit costs stellar amount of money. :scared:

Bit more offset and bigger rims and it would be perfection..
