Hi guys,

What would you wish for the next update to include in the EXPERT -section?

Please, pick two best options for you from every category

CLASS/TYRES/TRACK/DRIVETRAIN/REGION/LAP COUNT đź‘Ť

..obviously you should only pick one of the either region locked or w.e. :)

I personally hope for the Suzuka 600pp on S-tyres to make a return this time. It's been too long time missing from the roster. It might have been the shear great volume of great racers on the grid also, but I remember the event being one of the best ever.

Suzuka 600pp - 10laps - W.E. - S2's - ftw :sly:

Bring back Daytona Speedway in Expert please, I've missed it. And High Speed Ring reverse would be nice too, with the F430 vs GT-R vs Z06 battle.

600 S tyres for me! S2's to be honest. The best racing Ive had in GT5:P and it was such a long time ago :(

That sounds pretty good, like to have options with tires. Would love a world event 700 750pp @ Daytona Rd.

I miss the 800PP Daytona Speedway (oval) event from a while back, it was good fun but a little on the short side, 5 laps wasn't enough.

800PP Fuji F... I miss that one.. had many good races there...

I miss Suzuka East in the list, that's one circuit that's never been online in Expert as far as I know. I would love an event there with high-powered cars. Should be fun! :)

Not really anywhere to overtake there apart from the short straight.

If there was an option for non-PP events in the poll, then I'd have to second Ardius' suggestion of a return of the F430 vs GT-R vs Z06 event. It was the best damn event we ever had.

Anyway as for my votes in the poll, I'd like to see the following:

  • Class: 600PP
  • Circuit: Suzuka
  • Tyres: S2
  • Drivetrain: Free
  • Region lock: None
  • Lap Count: 10

And/Or...

  • Class: 750PP
  • Circuit: Daytona Road
  • Tyres: R2
  • Drivetrain: Free
  • Region lock: None
  • Lap Count: 15

Would like to see some more 2 or 3 car, no tuning events on S tires. On the lines of the all Ferrari event, or the F430 vs. GT-R.

The last couple of these were one make supercars on N1's. That's just not very realistic or enjoyable for the majority of racers.

I did vote and would like to see and try the 600PP on S only tyres, 10 laps at Suzuka sounds like a good race, but would like to see something for Daytona Road tried the Clio there for the wrs and that was a blast.

i picked 600PP Suzuka and 800PP Daytona road 15 laps :D

I love the 10 laps, cause its more exiting but 15 would add up the spices to catch up, but of course the non series players would just keep quitting...

It's not impossible to overtake in the esses themselves, not by a long shot if you're on the ball. All you have to do is stick your nose down the inside if someone leaves a gap and you'll at least stop them taking the normal line.

800pp Daytona Speedway
World event
20 laps
no restrictions

Yes,a Daytona expert event would be kind of nice,It's been a long time since we have had this one.Even at 700 or 750pp would be kind of nice.

800pp Daytona Road, No restrictions, WORLD COMPETITION.

I was wondering why so many picked 600pp, but I agree if we are limited to S tires but why stop at 600pp... why not- no pp limits but limited to S tires? That would be interesting!

Some other things they could expand upon:
Strictly Sixes race..
One Make series (Id like to see the BMW Tii here)
EU v US
V8 Challenge (BMW, Lexus, Jag, Merc, Chev, California)
Boosted battle (turbo only)

.. you get the idea.....

Interesting or ridiculous? A GTLM putting out maximum power, minimum weight, full tuned but on S's.... I call ridiculous ;)

Alot have picked 600PP from the beginning of GT5:P. 600PP S2 was the most popular event for a long time, attracting big crowds and quality of racing and battles where amazing. đź‘Ť

I love when moderators talk down to people! GREAT moderating!

I love it when people can't take a joke and then reply with sarcasm.

Seriously, unlimited PP would not make much sense. The reason for the PP system is to theoretically even out the performance of the cars. Of course, it still doesn't work exactly how it's supposed to, but it's still better than allowing people to simply max out any car they want to.

I voted 600 PP S tyres at Fuji, and 800 PP R tyres at Suzuka.:) World Events both of them.;) 15 laps both of them.:D

I must admit I find this quite reckless advice.

If the car in front of you is driving a perfectly normal line through the esses, it is already leaving a gap wide enough for you to stick your nose in. But just because you can doesn't give you a right to do so. At best you'll simply annoy and slow down the driver in front. At worst - and very likely - you'll hit him, causing him to spin out.

Even if you're faster and the driver in front is making big mistakes in the esses, there's at best a one in a million chance of pulling off a clean pass unless he leaves the track on his own. It just doesn't happen.

Agree 100%

Classic block pass, perfectly legal and completely acceptable, you may not have the fastest line, but you will have track position. If every race outlawed any form of block passing or passing off the race line, no overtaking would ever happen.. yawwnnnnnn how boring racing would be.

If your not a very good racer/driver and someone does this to you, then yes you may very well turn in on them and have a collision.

Its a race .. not a tour to the shops for some chips and the paper :D
