gt5 wasnt even listed at E3, BUT we had the trailer.
I'm sure the same thing will happen at gamescom. I bet my shorts we'll have the release date and some screenshots
I suppose the list is only for big presentation and that's not the case for gt5.
1 word: TGS

relax.

It's the biggest EU game show, and since the last games sold the best in the EU i think we can be sure they will show/tell something :)

Bye :)

Probably sony has more things to say at gamescom ... and this kind of things are not anounced... the kind of things that we call surprises, secrets... or whatever you want.

(hmmm... im not shure if my text is in english... :dunce:)

Maybe not at the GamesCom, but there is the GDC shortly before the GamesCom, did anyone check if there is a list of what they are going to show there? I know its for developers and the press, but maybe they present something there aswell....
GT Mobile is the most important thing for SONY and the PSP right now, so maybe, just maybe they have to dedicate the GamesCom to the PSP, since they have to move some units before GT5 is released for the PS3. Sales for GT Mobile will go down as soon as GT5 arrives, because everyone wants to play the real thing!

Iam still very confident that it is going to be released this year and it will be presented at GamesCom (even though its not on the list) or later at TGS.

Here's whats gonna happen guys. At GameCom, at the end the lights will turn down... suddenly THUNDER! And awesome music will play, and Kazonuri Yamauchi will decend from the cieling in a harness like an angel and be dropped onto a pedestal and recite the release date. While we wait for translator guy to catch up and tell us when the hell it is, we view a trailer full of GT5 greatness... Lamborghini's.. Ferrari's.. Veyron.. Le Mans... WRC and NASCAR and as the trailer ends we see a Porsche 911 GT2 zoom past on the Nordschliefe.

Ethier that or we get jack s**t.

i hope is just to keep it secret and make a "surprise". But if think they'll show nothing (maybe a small trailer like e3) and keep something bigger for september tgs.

That lineup looks pretty busy, and its clear that GT PSP is still of major importance. So much so that they wont overshadow it with GT5.

GT5 trailer if were lucky, even better if trailer ends with release date.

Nothing more at gamescon. Full reveal at TGS. And dont forget the Tokyo Motor Show.

And to all those who use the argument of Europe being the biggest customer, it doesnt work like that. PD need to sell more to America and Japan this time around, they can take the european audience for granted. Why premote big style in a place your guaranteed to sell?

Now THAT is some funny stuff!

That would indeed be the best outcome. Translator Guy must be loving this fame :)

Totally agree:tup:

Dudes, you dont really think thats the whole line-up for the 3 hours conference?
They never reveal the full stuff before, im actually surprised that there are some heavy hitters (Heavy Rain for example) already on the list.

All i want is a release date for this year... so i know when to get it. All other content such as weather and damage, i can be patient for. :)

Just out of curiousity but do they have to announce everything before the conference begins, aren't they allowed to spring surprises?

Personally I would be amazed if Sony don't reveal GT5 is some form or another.

So quit worrying about it. I don't understand anybody who complains endlessly about delays on games in general, and on the GT series in particular.

If it bothers you enough, then don't buy it and stop stressing.

If it doesn't bother you enough not to buy it, then shut up and stop stressing.

Yeesh.

Or, just complain on forums. I still trust GTPlanet's reliable source, so anything can happen. I bet all of you would have flamed me if last week I posted a thread saying Lamborghini and Bugatti will be in GT5, but now look. No one expected it. Life's random anything can happen. We could wake up tomorrow and some random interview with KY would leak the release date and everyone will be like wtf. So everyone just chill!

A lot of things point out that there will be GT5 info at this event, but I also think that they don't wanne hype GT5 just yet, because it will snow under Gt Mobile completely.
Give GT mobile the hype that it probably deserves, after the release off that it's GT5 time. I think the promotion of the GT5 will start very late, closely before release. Like BANG here it is guys, in stores next week(or something like that).

Probably a trailer and maybe a release date at gamescon, nothing more.

Ok, i'd rather say "cool gt5 is great, i like waiting...i'm so exited, big smile on my face" :dopey:

So what, complaining is forbidden, we like GT and we are obliged to wait smilling and celebrating each sentence of KY about GT?? ...

Sorry but real fans are not docile customers!

Thats not how marketing works....
Just because the previous games sold well and theres a few hundred very vocal fans on the internet, you cant assume that the next game will sell just as well without the same amount of heavy promotion.

They need to push it just as hard in Europe to ensure that the the existing market dosnt just go and buy Forza, NFS (or for the vast majority of people buying it, it wont even be a choice between racing games, but a choice between going and buying GT, or any other game for that system.)

Getting back to the topic, I really cant see them announcing the release date so near to the PSP version coming out, unless there is some sort of tie in between the two games that is significant enough that they can use it to drive sales of the PSP version. I think that all we will end up getting is a different trailor for GT5 showing a couple more features in the same way the last one did. Almost certainly containing either a Lamborghini or a Bugatti.

Complaining is not forbidden, but it's also pointless. Why agonize over something like this? It's like worrying about getting older.

It will come out when it comes out. Parts of it will be great; parts of it will be mediocre; parts of it will suck. Discussing those topics is fine but the endless weeping and gnashing of teeth accomplishes absolutely nothing.
