Just wanted to share an initiative / experiment to document and store all these invaluable tunings and settings in the form of a wiki. This is a simple, open documentation (ie: no standard templates, format as you please) without much of the bells and whistles of other database. At the very least, I am using it as my own personal tuning resource, but I wanted to see if this is a workable resource for experience tuners and new racers.

I am slowly adding entries (w/ credits to tuners - Individuals or Groups are welcome) to it each day but if you feel this may have potiential, your participation would be invaluable. Feedbacks of hate or love would be welcomed with open arms.

Cheers,

This is a great contribution. I was so tired of trying to keep a dirty log of tunes shared by others. Also could you add a section for tunes based on events (ie like the wind or bonus challenges)?

Just an suggestion, I would post tune by car model and not by the name the tuner gave to the car, would be easier to search for a tune for a specific car.

And also maybe separate Racing tunes from Drifting tunes (if there are any).
Maybe this should be stickied?

I will change it to car names today and give it a run to see how everyone likes it. And yea I am thinking about how to implement tunes by course/events. Thx for the feedbacks!

I have another one for the Ferrari 599. It is a real heavy hitter. I will post it later for you. If you decide to publish my tunes you can title them under Vince or what ever category you choose. Very nice work on the Wiki by the way.

This is fantastic thank you!

Will you be adding more than 1 tune per car? A lot of the garages here have slightly differing setups and it would be cool to see the different setups next to each other.

Are you getting permission to add these tunes?

I'd love to add every tune posted to my tunes database, but I don't want to rip off peoples work so I have just contacted a few of my favorite tuners and asked if I can add their work. Maybe it is not as much of an issue as I think it is though.

Anyway good luck with it :)

Really nice initiative! I will start posting my setups a.s.a.p!

An example of how to post would be good so that every article looks the same.

Hi Nasanu,

Nope I have not asked any of the tuner groups for their permissions. But I may start out of respect as you have mentioned. The wiki is an open platform, the content is not owned by me but everyone, registered or unregistered, can have a crack at editing, adding, or deleting the content. If any of the author would like their setups deleted from the wiki, they can contact me or deleted themselves. I know it is a bit risky since contents can be vandalize by anyone but I am willing to risk it to keep the contents open to the public.

I've seen your site, and it is definitely top notch with lots more functionalities! It's great to see everyone helping each other out and making sure all these invaluable data are saved for all to use. 👍

I thought about doing this but lack the initiative at the moment! Great Job! Thanks it saves time looking up tunes and more time for driving!👍👍

That's a great job and I have about 8 different tuners bookmarked to look for tunes. To be able to go to one page is a great idea, well done 👍👍👍

Leave it to a fellow Canadian to get this done.

(Oh god I just had a nerdgasm!)

I love wikis. If there is a tune may help with a particular event just make the name of the event a category and apply it to the tunes.
