These are great feedbacks and will look at it more closely as time goes. But for now I will be adding in categories to separate the car models from all the other pages (Main, articles, tuners, etc).

I was gonna bother adding my tunes, then decided against in case I messed something up :(

I can add them in for you if you like, will definitely update the help page once I setup the categories.

I am considering adding Tuner garage names as categories so people can see all the tunes by a garage. This will take me a bit of time but hopefully i will get to it sooner than later.

Key phrases in my previous post:
-"As you get more tunes" i.e., making the list bigger
-"it seems a little cluttered"
-"I'm looking at it on my phone" this means it looks smaller to me and may just be that.
-"Just throwing out some ideas"

It's just an idea, buddy.

Sorry you took it personally. :dunce:

Just go ahead and add them. Don't worry about messing anything up, the community will help correct any formatting etc. Follow the directions on the Help page, and don't forget to add the "[[Category:Models]]" tag at the bottom of your edit.

👍

So what happens if I don't agree with a few tunes? I used the Audi TTS and Subaru WRX STi '10 tunes while testing for a league race, and strongly disagreed with both tunes after I had worked on my own tunes.

I think the STi one in particular was really bad, I was able to run almost a second faster on SSR5 with my own tune which had much less understeer.

Thank you so much for starting this!!!

It's really great to have such a plattform!!!

It's a lot of help to me 'cause I just started to dig into the tuning stuff und thus it's giving me some great ideas and a base I can learn from...

Also thanks to everyone who contributes!!!

Maybe there should be a review section for the tunes? Eventually with everyone and anyone having editing access to this Wiki, it will become filled with more mediocrity. There needs to be something done, whether it's requiring permission of some dedicated test drivers, user reviews, or something else.

I think if there was a way to set it up so that just anyone couldn't edit the thing any way they wanted, and have a few people dedicate themselves as test drivers it could work. Let the drivers have access to the tuning page, and if the tune works they can enter it along with their review of the tune. (After a while, only the top 3-5 tunes should stay on the site?)

You then categorize the tunes that make the cut by driver style and preference. For example, some tunes work best for drivers who can really control the throttle, others work better for guys with a heavier foot. Nothing necessarily wrong with either approach, but one might not work for the other and vice versa.

Just ideas off of the top of my head.

Currently that's what the feedbacks link is for, since tuners don't always check the wiki they might not know about the user's experience or feedbacks. I've considered having feedback/ratings on the wiki but I believe tuners also want feedbacks and comments on their thread so they can quickly respond to people's comments and having 2+ sites for them to always check on may not be very feasible (I rather have them spend more time on testing more vehicles :) )

However with that said I do know some tunes don't have links yet (backtracking to find them) so it is not a perfect system. I think in time we will see if a comment section in the wiki is useful, but for now I highly encourage everyone to use the feedback links. The more feedbacks the tuners hear = more encouragement for them to post more tunes. 👍

Any Chance you could add these few cars into your list if tunes are available went to your list first so have not searched for all these yet a couple I did and culd not find.

Ford GT LM Race Car
Mazda Altenza Touring car
Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR Race Car '98
Nissan GT-R '07
Nissan R92CP Race Car
Nissan Option Stream Z '04
Toyota GT-ONE Race Car (TS020) '99
TVR Cerbera Speed 12 '00

I would like to submit my tune for addition to your database

Mercedes Benz 190E Evo II

All performance modifications are installed… this includes weight reduction, engine, suspension, drivetrain, transmission, EVERYTHING. The car makes 379hp and 266 ft-lbs.

SUSPENSION
Ride Height: -28, -28
Spring Rate: 10.3, 9.8
Dampers (extension): 5, 5
Dampers (compression) 5, 5
Anti-Roll Bars: 3, 3
Camber Angle: 0.6, 0.0
Toe Angle: 0.03, 0.18

LSD
Initial Torque: 28
Acceleration Sensitivity: 40
Braking Sensitivity: 20

TRANSMISSION
Top Speed: 193mph.

The transmission is set to maximize gearing on the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The car is light and really likes to slide around high-speed corners, which makes for fun driving. I’ve put down a 7:17 lap at the Nordschleife with this tune (All AIDS turned off except ABS set to 1. I drive with a G27 wheel) As far as the Ride Height… raising the car will help with bottoming out, but the car just looks too damn good slammed.

I've found that my Tommy Kaira ZZII tune is not linked to the proper post.
I like how all of my tunes are at the bottom of the page now.. lol. Anyways, thanks I guess.

ah I think I found the problem with some of the links as they don't scroll to the right post. I fixed the ZZII entry, but let me know if you see any other that didn't link to the right post.

But yea nothing personal in regards to your links at the bottom of the post, I want to place filled contents as much "above the fold" as I can on a page before linking out.

I found that TTS tune to have more understeer than I liked, and started with a new tune as well.

What you can do, is edit the page for the particular vehicle, and add your tune/comments below the original. You'll notice that a few of the more popular cars already have multiple tunes given.

This is awesome. If this can stay updated with all the tunes available, this could be something wicked awesome.

A small suggestion, perhaps adding a picture of the car to each wiki would be a neat addition. Obviously the picture would have to be a clear image with a direct line of sight of the car to avoid any possible confusion. Then under the image, if the car is running a specific tune, it can be noted with a small caption.

Images would be nice but I don't want to just take photos from the forum without permission. Also it may not be easy for me to replicate the photo since some of the tunes are made with specific colours and look. I want to stay true to the original tuner's creation than to just copy their settings only.

However if any tuners want to add photos to their entry, that's very much encourage! :)
