damn, both cars are seriously freaking cool. As much as I love Karmann Ghias, the Hoodride fad is a tad overdone by now, but yours wasn't as extreme as some I have seen which really try too hard. This one's pretty right, the patina was perfect. I love the wheels and the door panels.

and awesome location for the photo shoot!

Thanks, it's all 100% Natural too, as it was when it was pulled out from under a Blackberry Bush after 30 years! :D What amazed me was how amazing the Chrome still looked compared to the rest of the car as it's all original, none of it's replaced (just some of it lost, lol)

what amazes me is that it kept almost all of its crhome trim and emblems and all that stuff during the years. Awesome find!

So the Audi had me looking and going "this is pretty sweet." I scrolled down and saw the Karmann, and I was like "holy crap! This is seriously awesome!" Props to you.

Both cars are great. The VW is gorgeous though!

Whats with the intercom speaker thingy plugged in the Audi's head unit?? And I never knew they had a digital speedo :-O Its definately a keeper, the value's just going to go up and up....

Thanks guys!

As Biggamehit pointed out, it's actually a CB Radio, hence the 2 Ariels on the back. I don't have a head unit, the Engine and Exhaust note are usually enough for me :D
Although I do have an Amp installed with a lead I plug straight into my iPhone if I really want some music.

The quattro looks amazing, and for some reason the aerials set the car off really nice. Paint it red and it would look like an 80's unmarked police car. :P

You say "previous ride" on the Karmann, do you still have it?

As cool as the quattro is, that VW is perfect! I'd have a different shift knob, but that's probably it.

No, I sold it just over a year ago now, I still miss it though.

The Quattro is Lush!!! Great respect for owning that car! :)
one of my all time favourites.

Sorry but is that VW fully rusted or im not alright?

Cheers! :D

Haha, No the Ghia is actually very solid, what you see is just Sun Bleached/Surface Rust from sitting in the same spot untouched for 30 years.

The current system is the stock mild steel system, below is a stainless copy of it (can't find one of the stock item itself):

Main difference is the Centre Box, I have opted to remove it from the new one. This will make it sound very much like the actual Group B Rally Cars.

Video will be taken :D

You sonofabitch! Making me all jealous and stuff. If you really want it to sound like that you could always install anti-lag for a bit of crackle and pop ;)

I haven't fitted the new one yet but figured I'd take a quick clip of the old one before it goes:

(scuse the aspect ratio, it looks a little squashed)

Earlier in the week I headed out to the garage to fit my new Milltek Exhaust.

But as usual, Nothing is ever simple and I arrived at the garage with Steam bellowing out the front! Popped the bonnet, removed the Radiator Cover and sure enough..... the Radiator Core had sprung a leak and was spurting water out like a mini jet wash! Since you can't get the stock item any more there was only 2 options, a brand new Ally Radiator at around £450 or get my Radiator Re-Cored at around £100 so I opted for the Re-Core and now I'm without a car until Wednesday :(

Ok it is now back and I've taken a quick video with the new Stainless Single Box Milltek system:

Unfortunately I think I had the camera a bit too low down and close the the exhaust as the deep burble it produces partially drowns out the revving, but if I moved it any further back it would be in the middle of the pavement, lol.
I may try and record a better one at a later date.

A slightly updated video with the Single Box Milltek System.

The mic still doesn't pick up just how loud it actually is.

Ok, so bit of an Update....

quattro is for sale!

As I now also have a Son I wanted something with more room, 4 doors and a few more 'luxuries'.

However.... I didn't want to go sensible! :D

So I got this:
