long story short, my wife snapped my gt5 disc this morning as she is fed up of me playing it constantly, how am i meant to 1071 cars without a hell of alot of grind?

now i have over 950 and no game disc until friday,

thanks love

It's funny my wife is bit disturbed with how much time I spend with it. I won't even tell her about B-spec remote racing, she would freak!

ahahhahaahahh omg btec remote racing! LOL..tell her about online play and trading at night :)...are you going to buy another disk?

yes m8, new disc friday, im gonna hide it, cant get on to this remote racing as windows doesnt let it open, my drivers are online so im hoping they get a few races and earn a few quid whilst im away

I think you could do both... You can let Bob do their Job and spend some time with her. My GT5 game was a gift from my wife. Im such a nice boy! hahahaha

Perhaps, but clearly the man is spending so much time on GT5 that his wife feels the need to destroy it. Must be pretty obsessed with the game if you ask me.

I would not say obsessed that's a bit harsh mate.my girlfriend let's me play on weekends on a-spec mode and through week on b-spec cause allsni do is get my drivers racing and change over to tv:-) kill two birds with one stone and keep your bird happy:-)

I love gt5 and play it constantly but family and friends are first priority

i think the people that voted yes need to cut back on gt5 lol

Not trying to be harsh but clearly he's hurting the woman's feelings by playing GT5 so much instead of spending time with her.

At the end of the day, if you spend so much time doing something that your wife has to intervene like that, then you seriously need to re-assess your life.

I agree too guys.I think what he needs to do is cone to some sort of agreement with his wife that way they shall both be happy.that's what I did and it works.I mean I don't spend every minute on the game but I'll admit I like to play gt5.but like someone has already said wife/girlfriend is way more important

I really hope everyone who votes "yes" cuts back on videogames. Yikes.

Haha, my wife bitches to me about it too but I try to play when shes on the phone or doing something else. She just gets irratated with the rubberband grind and B-Spec. She cannot understand the concept of having a game that plays by itself. I don't either but I need to gain credits some how to buy all my race cars that I want to drive later.

About twice a week I'll let her know that I'm actually going to play and she'll leave me alone.

Wow, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It's a friggin video game! That's just sad... Your relationships with real people are, you know, REAL.

Doesnt even have a chance to, I get my GT fix in before my girlfriend comes round...if your having to even think between playing GT or sat with your wife/girlfriend watching a movie thats baaaaaaad ;D

So i guess i should consider myself lucky as my wife will run Bob through endurance races for me when I'm out of town.she's even changes the oil between races!

That my friend is pure gold in female form lol, I found out my girlfriend enjoys going sideways in my Dodge Charger simply because it looks like the General Lee..This was like Christmas (she didnt mind GT) and birthday (She knew a TV cars name) present in 1 :D

That right there is just strange that your wife would bitch because you're auto-grinding.

I agree, I love my GT5 time but spending some time with the GF/wife is not a bad thing unless you two can't stand each other. Then it's time to move on.

Time to buy a lotto ticket

Uhhh, GT5 affects my "relationship" with my PS3 in a positive way. For a while I was going out with the more slender Wii-girl, but now that GT5 is out, I'm happily engaged with the more voluptuous PS3-woman.

The key is making them feel more important than the game.

Sometimes that's easier said than done, but it can be done. It's always the little crap that gets a woman going... help her with the dishes, or dinner, give her a foot rub & every once and a while spring for some flowers. Yes... I know they die, but women dig that kind of stuff.

If she feels important to you & that you want to spend time with her she won't mind you playing GT5.

If you really want to get some game time in over the weekend... get her a spa day. Or buy her and her friend tickets to some girlie movie.

I've had similar problems BTW. Though I managed to nip it in the butt before it got too crazy... it only cost me a puppy... lol.

You have found the secret to game of controlling a womans mind. It's all emotional & mental for them.

I feel your pain, paulsie! My wife bought me the game (knowing pretty well what she was doing). For the most part, it isn't an issue, especially since I can B-spec in the background (or remotely now) when she wants to watch Twilight for the 30th time.

The game has sort of levelled the playing field in terms of who is the last one ready when it's time to go somewhere, too. Usually I'm all set well in advace, so I may try to sneak a race in while she finishes up. So, now we have the occassional "Aren't you ready yet?" "Just one more lap, I mean, minute, sweety." discussion. Strange to be on the other end of that one...
