Evo X High Speed Wobble

Anyone realize this? Evo X tends to wobble at high speed. Is this normal?(I'm using G27 wheel) Anyone got a Evo X in real life to verify this?

Just drove it over the limit on the Nordschleife and didn't notice anything like it.

Yep.

It's a fault with the AYC system's programming and only happens with steering wheels (AYC thinks steering is never quite straight as it really isn't and activates, pulling the car side to side).

Happened to me on my Driving Force at above about 23 kmph, basically any time I drove straight. Still haven't driven it with my new 900 degree wheel, I parked it for good after that first time, but I didn't notice it being as bad in the older Evo I used for the rally events(noticed a bit of something in the tarmac events but not unmanageable, just a little annoying).
 
Keeping the ayc at the lowest setting it can go solves the problem, then just slowly move it up until your comfortable with the setting. For me I find it needs to be less than 45 on tarmac to avoid a noticable wobble

The Evo I doesn't have AYC. Neither does the II or III.

That being said, I drove the V a lot early on in the game and I never noticed it doing what the X does.

Just tested both of mine on my Fanatec GT3RS. It is only the X that has the problem at the default setting of 30. The IX still does the same thing but it's MUCH less pronounced and not a problem, and it settles itself down quickly. The X wobbles back and forth constantly all the way down the straights unless I turn the deadzone up to at least 20%. Much easier to manage than with my old wheel, but I still have no interest in ever driving that.

I don't know if I've driven anything older than the IX in GT5, I just said "older" as I wasn't sure which one it until looking it up in my game for testing.
 
I don't like driving the Evo X stock because of it. If you still can't notice it with a wheel, turn the strength of the AYC to max and then you can't miss it.

It is a shame that they still haven't fix this problem yet. They seem to put quite a bit of time on it with Kaz trying out the pre-production cars and talking with the engineers. This problem couldn't be missed as they use the DFGT for testing and etc. :indiff:
 
I've experienced this aswell, but only on ones ive tuned where the AYC has been turned up and stiff suspension, made me stop driving it.
 
I stopped using the X because of this. I thought it was my tune until I read about it on here. It's a great car unless you're using a wheel setup.
 
Yaw control. You turn right, and the engine routes torque the the left wheels to make the car turn more. And vice-versa.

I'm assuming this is only on the Lancer? Unless it's a wheel-only option...

It's a feature only available on some of the Lancer Evolutions. You will see it under the Drivetrain section in the tuning menu.

Available only on the Evo IV and up, plus the Mitsubishi CZ-3 Tarmac road car. Doesn't come on the Evo RS models, which instead employed a normal LSD to save weight.


There are a couple of cars that should have it in the game but don't (Legnum VR-4 being one of them), but that's about the size of it.

Well as far as GT5 goes you'll need more down force which more than likely applies to a real life Evo X as well.
