Fiat Seasonal (Can't Remember Actual Name)

It's the event that is sandwiched between the Civic and Supercar Festival Seasonals. So I played the Fiat seasonal and I ran the first race 10 times and I could never get beyond 3rd place. I'd come close to getting 2nd by cutting across the grass prior to the finish straight away but never got to 2nd.

I don't see how you can beat this damn thing. I mean they start you off in 12th, well that's nothing new, but they put you back by almost an entire lap and you only got 5 laps to make up a TON of time and you have a car that has the exact same HP that the other cars have.

I just don't see how you can win this stupid seasonal. I've tried multiple tunes and nothing works. I'm not a bad driver, I'm pretty dang good but even this is beyond my skill level.

Any hints or suggestions?

If you still can't do it , you can borrow my fiat 500 with the exact set up i used to beat this race.I want nothing in return just add me @ psn and send me a message to remind me to make tha car available to borrow

Aside from the multiple links of information, in a nutshell:

1. You should only have to brake, and only a tap when you do, for three turns. The right-hander at the top of the hill before you go through the rock walls section leading to the tunnel before the straight, the left-hander at the end of the long straight, and the last left-hander before the final straight that leads to the chicane before the finish line.

2. Try to catch and use the draft wherever possible. There will be 2-3 opportunities to catch a boost from the car ahead of you in this race.

3. Be as smooth as glass with your turns. I set my DS3 sensitivity to 7 and just held my line, coasting through turns (especially the first left-hander into the first tunnel/overpass), where I thought I'd have to brake.

In one of the threads, there is a movie of a winning run. Use that as your reference for corner speed and where you should be during each lap of the race. Good Luck! 👍

I will admit, it took me a good 10-15 runs to get it, but it was very satisfying when I did gold it.

Now, if I could just get past 2nd in the Elise and Subaru ones. I got stuck there and haven't tried them recently, but hopefully they won't go away until I finish them.

Knowing this particular track, for this "Expert" Seasonal, is 85% key success to winning , and by a hair.

Knowing how to limit your car from skidding, and bumping walls, and AI in front of you, is crucial. (Zero tolernace for unneccesary slowdowns)

Fine tuneing (see Tuning subforum) your car to allowed pp limit, for best accelleration up those hills, is crucial.

Early and smooth turn ins, with accelleration away from Apex nearly missing the upcoming walls, is crucial.

Drifting behind AI is crucial

Cadence Braking (or stutter braking) is your friend in all 3 events.

enjoy your gold!

did yougold the laguna seca Subaru event? that was harder than Fiat.

Absolutly Zero driving aids will help you maintain fastest lap times when driven carefully and precisely.

Tip:, when turning blind left into long downhill straight in tunnel, initiate that left turn "sooner than you think" and emerge at a nice higher accellerating mildly speed through the yellow painted lines, to dart down faster. Brake earlier at last high speed left to go up the hill, and try to go up hill at least at 100 km/hr, catch a drift there.
